Cheap and fun. Opposed to expensive and ResidentSleeper.

posted a message on The priest problem post nerf

If it's on top lets complain until it gets nerfed. Then the next deck that rises to the top lets complain until it gets nerfed. Rinse and repeat. Hearthstone players are too predictable at this point.

Spoiler: It doesn't matter what they nerf. You will always play those tier 1 decks.

posted a message on The game is becoming too expensive

I liked it when there were adventures. The cost was fairly inexpensive and gave every card. Every week the meta would evolve slowly as new wings were released. It was nice to get a break from purchasing so many packs to get a decent collection. Probably the main reason they don't do them anymore. $.$

posted a message on How is Jade Druid post nerf? What cards would you replace?
    Quote from CylonToaster >>

Jade druid is stronger because the counter decks were nerfed. No need for Spreading Plague because the aggro decks that were able to beat jade are now nerfed. The only opposition to jade now is jade (lol) or priest. So the obvious choice would be to replace the 4 cards with some big drops. Grab your coffee because this is going to be a slow ResidentSleeper meta.

I don't recall Hunter getting nerfed
I don't recall seeing a hunter for months now.

posted a message on Oktoberbrawl backfire?

Hearthstone had the highest tournament viewer counts when the game was hyper aggressive. Some even got 150k+. Decks were cheap, fun and ranked quickly. It was also much more entertaining to watch compared to the ResidentSleeper meta some streamers are trying to push with the constant complaining and whining. Not to mention the high cost of these decks, it makes it much less accessible to a lot of players. The game was never broken so there was no need to fix it. The numbers don't lie.

Speaking of streamers that complain about aggro. It's funny seeing those exact people playing aggro in the Oktoberbrawl. I have been wanting casual mode to be changed for years now. Just make it basic and classic so everyone can play. It's not a hard concept.

posted a message on Prepare yourselves for Priestone

I went to the dark side by using aggro druid this month and i saw almost the same amount of priests and druids. Only a 2% difference. It's been prieststone for awhile already. When the nerfs hit you can pretty much expect it to still be a priest and jade druid meta with even higher %'s. Main reason being the decks that stood a chance at beating them are being nerfed (murloc pally, aggro druid, pirate warrior). Even though druids are seeing a couple nerfs, the lack of counters is basically a buff. The only thing keeping priest from being on top is the decks typically cost twice as much dust to craft.

Here is my snapshot with aggro druid this month.

posted a message on Anyone know when the nerfs is coming?

Today would have been nice but they are keeping the integrity of the tournaments going on right now. Despite no one really watching it. I remember the days of those tournaments getting 100k+ views, they were so much fun to watch.

This is a very positive change and should never be reintroduced. The days of getting synergy cards like Frost Lich Jaina in your first 2 picks will finally be over.

posted a message on Your thoughts on current arena state

My first game of the expansion was 12 wins. It felt good then quickly took a turn. On average i usually get 6-8 wins but this expansion has been a huge struggle. Often not being able to pass 2-3 wins and rarely reaching 5. The problem for me has been low draft quality and opponents often having big impact cards on curve. The decks you face at 1-2 losses are insane. Today i had a great example at 2-1, the mage had 3 flamestrikes with many other high quality cards. Next match at 2-2 the mage had Jaina, Illidan, flamestrike and other crazy things. It's hard to explain it fully but overall my win rate has taken a huge hit. At the point where i try to avoid it all together.

Really lame rewards compared to the Overwatch rewards or Tyrande. I wouldn't feel too left out if you can't get Prime this month.

posted a message on 52 kft packs and not a single legendary. (pity timer bugged?)

Even if they did remove the pity timer why does it really matter? I remember as a teen hoping to get lucky with every MTG pack when going to the card shop. No one ever expected the store owner to just hand them a rare card for buying a certain amount of packs. It should be about the thrill of getting something nice on a rare occasion. So many people clouded by this legendary loot pinata era.

posted a message on Should Innervate rotate to hall of fame?

Innervate needs to be addressed because of all the good ramp options now. When you see a druid play a 10 drop on turn 4 it's just insanity. Skulking could also use a mana cost reduction down to 5. Even with these changes druid would still be insane, it really shows the power of their current state.

posted a message on How are you liking the meta so far?

Yes it's a very bad meta. There is nothing worse than going 15-20+ turns against a slow control player. A certain streamer seems to have too much sway. Always crying about aggro and they release all these powerful ResidentSleeper control cards. Honestly the best solution is to play a certain midrange paladin deck. It craps all over control, especially jade druids. Control will die off once people catch on.
