So given Scenario: "Nerf time comes around in July (for eg) and you dust the nerfed cards. Then a few weeks later, the cards are still used after the nerf."
Does that mean you'd need to craft the cards again coz they still won't show up in packs?
Team 5's QA team must be really small if they missed this. It's an obvious deck that would be built live, so why wasn't it play tested? Also, device testing these days is very easy to do with device farms, and Blizzard has enough money to buy all supported devices anyway, just like other big software companies. Defects these days shouldn't be tolerated. Everyone in the software industry should put quality first. We not in the 90's anymore.
you make a valid point, but I believe you're not seeing the message that blizzard is conveying here.
They discuss class identities along with strengths and weaknesses which hints at what blizzard's card design rules would look like when they create expansion cards. For eg: they wouldn't print anymore face damage cards for Priest and Paladin as face damage is considered a weakness . So technically, if blizzard stick to these rules per class, each expansion will still display some form of class identity, regardless of what archetype. I would think certain strengths would lead to certain archetypes, (another example, druid's strength is minion swarming, so naturally they would be good at the zoo archetype)
I can't even recall how much time I've spent on Hearthpwn (its definitely over 9000 hours :P) even though I never participated in the community card designs, I always go to Hearthpwn when it is card reveal season and on quite a few occasions, just sat at my PC to hit F5 for a few hours waiting and watching the card reveal countdown clock. This site was better managed than official blizzard sites and it brings a tear to my eye that you are closing the tavern doors.
You will be missed!
P.S: will there be a new site to take over HearthPwn? HearthStation perhaps? Where will we get our card reveals then!
There is no device to measure the amount of excitement I have for Kalecgos and the rotation on a whole. Honestly the best time of year for Hearthstone's standard mode

Just think about it this way:
Turn 1: Embiggen + Wisp

Would be funny if Blatant Decoy pulled King Phaoris

Whoever suggested the name of this card clearly realized the final design team don't have dirty minds xD

They were trying to make that interview around the fern super awkward right? That was their intent... right?

So like, what's the reason as to why Hearthpwn is shutting down? To much maintenance? Database limitations? Outdated code base?
All of the above? :)

This post broke my heart! </3
