Who is hyped? What will you be doing when the expansion drops?
There is small profit to be made on the HOF cards, but only on the common cards if you don't own the golden.
For example: If you have only the standard version of Naturalise you will get 40 dust back, plus you can DE it for 5 more totalling 45 dust. If you craft the golden version you will get 400 dust back, less the 400 crafting cost but you can then dust the golden and common versions for a total of 55 dust, netting you a 10 dust profit :P
The only real way you get profit though is if you don't already own any version of a HOF card
Yea but this way I get to keep my Genn and Baku in normal form for if I ever want to dip into wild AND get the same amount of dust as I would had I done nothing
Time to spend my shift at work theorycrafting.
There is no device to measure the amount of excitement I have for Kalecgos and the rotation on a whole. Honestly the best time of year for Hearthstone's standard mode
Dont get to excited, that card is likely to get nerfed and have the community in tears in 2 weeks..
You are assuming that meta will be control based but if it ends up as aggro then this card will be useless. I mean it is very powerfull card that will probably be used quite often but you are forgetting that you need to have a lot of high-cost spells to fully unlock its potential witch means that deck must be extremally heavy.
So, craft it golden is what you say? ;D
So basically big mage? well think this archetype existed in the past.
First thing to do BEFORE expansion hits is to disenchand all rotating cards, craft a golden Genn and some more stuff that is going to Hall of Fame. Then after expansion hits, craft some of the legendaries I want to craft(the Rogue ones) and then open sweet 100 packs. Also keep some of the dust and wait a bit before crafting 2-3 meta decks(2 weeks probably). And hope for the best.
Why the hell would you craft anything before opening your boosters? Unless you want to craft it golden (which i don't really get btw), it's just a mistake.
And I would'nt disenchant any rotating card either but that's another discussion.
It always hurt to read someone dusting the entire rotating cards, but do what you think its best.
Except when you talk about crafting cards before opening even a single pack, that is objectively not best.
If you have no intrest in wild then it makes sense.... kind of... it makes me feel bad for those who do because they wont get the chance to play wild.
Before? Hmm you sure you can get back full value?
Crafting all of the stuff that goes to Hall of Fame is actually the smart thing to do, though. You either end up getting the cards for free or get a very decent amount of free dust if you end up disenchanting them after the patch hits.
im actually crafting all shaman cards because i am shaman main. standard and wild
Disenchanting rotated cards is kinda necessity for ftp player. I was against it sometime. I was thinking that I might want to play wind sometime and its better to keep it. But its only until I've faced huge lack of dust. To be clear, few times I bought preorder when I was aground. But I just love weird archetypes. Im a guy who desperately wanted to craft Mooraby even tho I knew it suck. Luckily prudence prevailed and I didnt craft it. But I often craft cards just to try some weird shit. And rarely play it for a long time.
And here I have HUGE dust amount in wild cards. Sometimes you have to choose. Not easy choice, I'm not saying I've never regret it. But it was right choose imo. I can easily craft whatever I want (tho not everything at once of course), I cat try any shitty idea that comes to mind. So no regtets, going to disenchant most of rotating cards this time as well.
Tho I never disenchant them at one. I dust then as I need it. Its like my golden stash
I dust the rotating cards, to be fair I did this yesterday already.
The only downside for me is when there's a random Brawl in which the whole collection is allowed. You will not see me in Wild so I see no use in keeping them besides some random brawls with a random classic pack as a reward.
I do understand the 'What a waste of money' point of view but playing is wild is a waste of fun and time for me.
This discussion will never end and everyone will have a different opinion.
Agree, I keep all my cards. You never know when you get bored of standard and want to play around in wild and on occasion you have those taverns which allows you to build a deck from your collection I believe.
Sure, if you are short of dusts you could disenchant something completly useless that you probably never use but then again, cards tend to get different values once they hit wild so cards useless in standard can become extremely powerful in wild with time.
By just doing the daily quests you can pretty much get every card from a set without using any real currency and if you pre-order some deal or go for any of those special offers you can stack up a few k of dust easily on top of getting every card without even have to clear that many daiies which kind of sets you up to easily get everything for free the next exp.
I know both full F2P players that save everything and those who disenchant things they believe is useless and those people who disenchant stuff in order to craft etc. always seems to end up with less card by the end of a rotation lol even with more time put into the game. I'd assume it has to do with the ones who don't disenchant have patience and rather wait until they grab the cards from pack rather then crafting it instantly and if they do craft something it's like very few cards they really want or have an incredible high power level while those who keep on disenchanting just rush to get whatever they want just to get the same stuff in packs later.
TL;DR - Thumb rule, the more dust you have the more you spend on stuff you probably end up regretting later on.
Where are we droppin BOIS??
