I have two AOE cards in hand. Opponent goes all in and fills his board. Perfect. I play Twisting Nether. Next turn, opponent fills his board with all two-health minions. Perfect. I play Corrupted Seer. Nothing happens. All his minions are murlocs. My fault for not reading the cards. FML.

posted a message on Top Crafts for Wild?

I really enjoy playing Reno/Kazakus Nzoth Priest in wild, and I recently cut Dr Boom from my list for cluttering the board with my NZoth. You definitely want Sludge Belcher and Deathlord. The other cards on your list are nice to have, but there are plenty of substitutions such as the dragon potion for Light Bomb (or run both of them). I also play Mistress of Mixtures over Zombie Chow now. And if you're playing the Reno version, you just need to craft one of the missing cards!

posted a message on Why Hunters are the worst Class in the game.
    Quote from Paeter27 >>

Because the class has boring cards and no fun combos like other classes

and now that it's weak there no point in playing hunter

Maybe they should un-nerf Starving Buzzard from 5-mana to 3-mana again. At the time, the nerf was needed because Hunter was the only aggro deck and it was too good. But the meta has changed.  There are so many viable aggro-decks now, they need more competition and variation.
Aggro decks are a must for the life of the game, but it might be better to have three viable aggro decks instead of two.
I think in an ideal meta there would be three viable aggro decks, three viable midrange decks, and three viable slow/control decks.

posted a message on The Pepper Thread - Share your good vibes!

(Originally posted in Salt thread, and I got pointed to the Pepper thread.)

Arena: I just got super lucky, so I am posting salt for my opponent.

Opponent is playing aggro Mage, has no cards left in hand, has me at 1 HP. Passes turn to me. He pretty much wins next turn.

I am playing mid-range Mage with about 8 cards in my hand. I draw and play Babbling Book, get Unstable Portal.

Play Unstable Portal, get ILLUMINATOR. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. THIS CARD IS TERRIBLE. I WOULD NEVER DRAFT THIS CARD. *Reads what card does*

*Looks at hand* I have a secret! PRAISE ILLUMINATOR! Play secret, pass turn, gain 4 life.

Opponent topdecks Fireball. My secret is Counterspell. Opponent ragequits.

posted a message on I'm a bad, bad person. :-(

We are probably similar, I held off on joining the pirate cancer and just played my "typical fair" decks. Took me the entirety of last month to get from Rank 20 to Rank 10. Then I decided to try Pirate this month. Went from Rank 20 to Rank 8 in 2 days. :-( I also feel like a bad person, but I feel like a worse person because I play the Wild version with Ship's Cannon.

posted a message on Share your Gadgetzan Pack Opening Videos!

Opened 56 packs. GOT SIX LEGENDARIES - including Kazakus and Patches the Pirate! The RNG gods are with me.

Legendary 1 - 48 packs left to open
Legendary 2 - 44 packs left to open
Legendary 3 - 40 packs left to open
Legendary 4 - 7 packs left to open
Legendary 5 - 3 packs left to open
Legendary 6 - 0 packs left to open

It's interesting to note that the legendaries are "clustered" together when I open them. Does it have anything to do with how computers calculate RNG?

posted a message on Hearthstone has become stale in almost every way

I agree with you, but I also agree with Thomasvicfelix. Hope you didn't disenchant all your wild cards, because there are tons of deck variety in wild mode between Ranks 20-10. (I haven't tried going farther than that.) I definitely see freeze mage, secret paladin, and aggro shaman, but it's never one right after the other. People play their wacky builds in wild. I personally play a Divine Shield Paladin and a NZoth Reno Rogue. (Made it to Rank 10 with both of them.)

posted a message on Casual Streamers - Come Hang out for Arena & Brawl!

Hey guys! BlueFootedNoobies here with our variety stream. (I play Hearthstone, and my wife plays mostly first person shooters on her nights.)

Our channel is casual and relaxed, and I like to chat with viewers about any plays and decisions. Also just love to talk about anything and whatever is going on in your day or in the world. Despite being the BlueFootedNoobies, I consider myself a pretty decent player, and I aim to have an average 6-7 win arena rate.

    Regular Schedule for Hearthstone
--Tuesday (Arena) at 9 pm New York Time
    --Sat/Sun (Arena) in morning sometimes
    --Sometimes Brawl on Wednesdays

We have a handful of regulars and would love to have you join us!

Link to Google Drive for average win rate: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1C5HzyDPaHKjCzw208V0tLS9rhMQClgaphyCGZPA3R2M/edit?usp=sharing

Our latest Arena since Karazhan expansion, currently 7-1 with Rogue. Bog Creepers doing work for us, but Shadowstep surprisingly useful sometimes:

posted a message on Randomonium - Tavern Brawl #59

As much as I love RNG-brawls, these games feel too lopsided one way or the other. It is still fun and fast to play, but I would like the brawl better if both sides had a crazy opening, but instead it is more like:

    • 80% of games, opponent has great start
    • 10% of games, I have a great start
    • 10% of games, long game where we both play mediocre cards

Most of my games end up like this on Turn 4.

    Randomonium

Then during my stream, I had a great start with Turn 4 Call of the Wild with a Tundra Rhino already on board:

Soul Coil is really interesting because it gives you alot to think about. While Mortal Coil draws you a card from your deck, Soul Coil guarantees what card gets added to your hand. So you have to decide "is this enemy minion better than the cards in my deck" and you also have to decided "do i need to kill this enemy 1-health minion now or should I wait for a better target."
