I didn't know this, but if you're wondering why Brawl is suspiciously hard no matter how good you are, it's because Blizzard is cheating you.
"After the initial placement, player matchmaking is controlled by the player's success in Tavern Brawls, using a hidden MMR.[14]Tavern Brawl MMR is ongoing, and carries over from week to week.[15]"
Not only is it rigged in that this casual, for fun mode is actually like Ranked, but it carries from week to week, forever, apparently, making it worse than ladder.
Blizzard, once again, sucking more than imaginable at a simple task.
It's not rigged. It's the same way in casual. You play people that are about as good as you are. If this system didn't exist, you'd end up playing players that are either much worse or much better than you.
As one who runs multiple accounts, this has been fairly obvious for quite sometime and makes sense. So a skilled player not being able to stomp some noob constitutes punishment?

Hum yes, if you suck at a game, you deserve to lose.

You're missing the point dude. Tavern Brawl is supposed to be mostly about fun, not competition.
I don't give a fuck if I'm being matched against someone with a similar W/L ratio.
I do give several fucks to RNG fiestas making games impossible to win for one side no matter how tight you play, while the other just plays cards on curve.

What are you babbling about? If it's based on MMR that means you're being paired with players similar to your skill level. That's actually fair because you're not being placed against new players or more veteran ones.
Btw if you think this is great, be sure to mention how you love this to Blizzard so they spread it to arena and ranked.
Don't you think it's UNFAIR that a new player can run into Kripp at 0-0? Clearly the game should be rigg.. I mean "fair" against him by only making him play against Hafu if possible.
And why should someone who resets to rank 16 after being legend get to play against someone on their first season? That's not fair at all! What if I just got rank 1 legend, went on vacation and came back halfway through the month, only to stomp a poor noob tryharding with pirate warrior at rank 15?
Ranks aren't enough to "reward" good players with fair matchups! I demand a secret permanent MMR for all modes yes that's great!
This post is just outrageously stupid. Your basically saying its rigged and unfair because we are being matched up against people with about the same W/L ratio. Also for every person that loses, there is a person who wins, so its not that its unfair, just that you are bad.

Ok so you hate it when skill isn't the deciding factor in a game, but you also don't want to be matched against opponents who can outplay you or be outplayed by you.

I mean, this does exist already to an extent. For constructed it affects Legend play:
Players at Legend rank are matched according to a hidden Ranked matchmaking rating (MMR).[6][5] MMR is in fact tracked during all Ranked Play activity, but only affects matchmaking involving at least one Legend rank player.[7][8] MMR also determines the player's initial numbered seeding upon reaching Legend rank.[8]
While the system aims to limit Legend/sub-Legend matchings as much as possible,[9] Legend rank players are sometimes matched against sub-Legend players. When Legend and sub-Legend players are matched, matchmaking is determined by each player's MMR.[8]
And in Arena it affects new players:
For players on their first few Arena runs, matchmaking is intentionally altered to provide an easier transition into the game mode.[17] For matchmaking purposes, the player's win/loss ratio is considered to have one more loss than it actually does, thus matching them against what should on average be easier opponents.[17] The system will also prefer to match such players against each other.[17]
Because Casual and Tavern Brawl have no inherent metric to determine a players ability (Constructed has Ranks and Arena has how well you are doing on your current run) they use this to prevent people from being destroyed by people much better than them. It's intended to keep players coming back, as they don't feel disheartened by being matched up against a disproportionately strong opponent. I don't see a problem with this.
For a guy who's claiming that the matchmaking in Brawl "punishes good players" this dude is clearly salty about how much he's losing Brawl. I think the MMR is not as high as he thinks it is.

Because matching newer players up against vets who will cream them will totally make the mode more fun and casual. /s
I returned to this game much like how a recovering alcoholic can relapse.

Wouldn't that mean that all the brawls are fairer though...?
"Rigged". You Keep Using That Word, I Do Not Think It Means What You Think It Means
They aren't.
The system is rigged against skilled players by making them match up against each other, punishing them for being good.

If the system is rigged, I think we need to drain the Acidic Swamp Ooze.
