This. People saying it's the healthiest yet are just another breed of shortsighted.
I've been playing this game since Beta, Spr 2014, and I'd rather have this meta than any of these:
- Paladin summoning 5-7 secrets at once
- Facing Midrange Shaman every other game
- Face Huntards everywhere
- Undertaker decks
- Zoo everywhere
- Tempo Mage snowballing days with high RnG
- Combo Druid with 12-15 OTK damage
- Priest is nowhere to be seen on ladder
- Patron Warrior unstoppable days
No, thank you.
Thís plus I would like to say that Combo Druid was more 15-24 damage in one turn.
Think he's talking about the FON+SR combo, which was 14 damage from hand with 9 mana and 2 cards. The problem was not that it was super powerful, but it was super easy, and could be done twice.
I haven't played HS for like 16 months, comes back, goes from rank 25 to 7 in like 4 days, and now in the past 3 days I've gone from rank 7 to 15, legit losing everything in the world. I've been legend every season I've played.
This one is basically have the best starting hand and a little bit of luck and you win. GG. Literally no skill in this game anymore with all the new cards
I think this meta is actually pretty decent, in that you have multiple top decks (blah blah blah someone counter this by telling me how TempoStorm and VS show only Aggro Shaman and Pirate Warrior or whatever, but let's be honest - most of us are not playing Legend). I don't particularly enjoy playing these decks though.
I will say that in general I think MSOG is far too strong; I play Wild a bit more than Standard but I'm still mostly seeing the top Standard decks being played, effectively.

Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.
Yeah they'll have to blast Small-Time Buccaneer. The fact that they spent so much time working on him and changed him several times and they STILL couldn't see how he'd affect the game is really disheartening. Any pairing of cards that allows 7-9 damage by turn 2 without The Coin or the downside of an empty hand is obviously bad for the state of the game yet they still introduced it in a way that could be abused by every weapon class.
They have no idea about what they're doing, you see it immediately if you read that article about the previous possible versions of Bucaneer and how this one got printed into the expansion a mere days prior to launch. No playtesting, no thinking, nothing.

The worst thing is Pirate decks will be still viable after rotation.
