They may have been involved in the artifact testing and just decided it's more for them. I know alot of pros were approach to try the game and it's being designed from the ground up for serious competitive play

Or more possible explanation they were paid to make a public announcement to create controversy around the game and attract attention to it. Obviously it's working.
VP is a European esports team. Their HS lineup consists of Naiman, DrHippi and BunnyHopper. In their press release, VP claims that they are switching to Artifact, which is the upcoming Dota CCG. They don't mention any reason for the switch, except that it was "inevitable," and that they apparently didn't like the changes to the 2018 HCT, vaguely suggesting that the new format "offers no prospects." It's an odd criticism of the 2018 HCT - in addition to the three championships, the tour will feature nearly 30 IRL tournaments, with an emphasis on Team-sponsored play, and far more $$$ than any previous year. Presumably, in the VP press release "prospects" means "money." Reading between the lines, Valve must be offering better "prospects" behind the scenes in order to motivate the switch.
If you can't read Russian... That's really bad. In few words: they switch from HS to Artifact (which should be released in 2018).
yeah sure and who tf cares? why should you post this on a hs forum?
And nobody cares that you don't care, so why replying in the first place?
Since they are allegedly leaving HS, it is HS- related.
If you don't care, it's obviously fine, but there is no need to be so toxic with those useless replies.
IT: i don't follow the other cardgames, but challenging the popularity of HS seems daring to me. And pro-players leaving are also making daring decisions in terms of visibility. Maybe they think they can gain a better niche of their own in the new environment?
Yeah good news, now hopefully blizzard will notice their game is broken af right now and maybe jus maybe try to fix it.
The game is fine, some mediocre unknown team leaving because of greed wont mean shit
i like game and warcraft theme but game is not fine. tournaments not competitive. its all about rng. look why quit lifecoach. i hope everyone leave this child poker and maybe blizz fix somethings.

According to this article, there are going to announce their desicion about Artifact in 3/4 quarter of 2018, obviously after release.
It's quite sad news, but I still doubt these guys would leave HS
