After facing almost only aggro on ladder I decided to switch things up. Queued my Egg Control Warlock deck and started to farm them. Easy winstreak, felt really good.
Playing Secret Hunter against Togwaggle Druid. It's turn 8 and my opponent has ramped up to 10 mana (obviously). My turn comes around, the previous turn having played Subject 9 and Rat Trap, which he popped on his turn. After I play an Eaglehorn Bow and an Animal Companion, I play a secret and pass. On my opponent's turn, he plays a Dreampetal Florist, which reduces the cost of...nothing.
Has someone watched Disguised Toast's video Turn 2 Win?
I just want to brag about my luck. The shaman player stayed until the end, but I don't know what he was aiming to do anymore.
I just had 3 turn 2 wins on the bounce thanks to Gnomeferatu. Destroyed a Malygos for Rogue, a Mecha'thun for Warlock and then a Malygos for a Druid. Perfect.
Had a Missle Launcher with Venomizer, Cybertech, Another Missle Launcher, Berillium Nullifer, and a Spider Bomb. I literally just sat there for 8 turns and watched him suffer
Tavern Brawl. Playing control warlock and crushing aggro decks is pepper on its own. But I want to share the following pic:
These were the rewards for me reaching 11-3. My 3 losses were to druids (1 taunt and 2 mali, same opponent). This is the first time I'm getting a legendary from the arena rewarding system. I'm not a paladin player, but the feeling of getting one is still awesome nevertheless.
Absolutely loved this brawl, stacked an extra 1.3k gold since Wednesday evening, and a ton of packs. I felt slightly cancerous playing Odd Mech Pally, which was just brutal on both the aggro spectrum of the gameplay, as well as more than decent in midrange and late game. But when you go full tempo/aggro, it's just unstoppable (see screenshot). Wargear is SUCH a great card, and Giggling Inventor is just disgusting in the build. I tweaked it a little with one Divine Favor and a Sword of Justice, and ditched the Void Ripper's, because frankly you just have to play tall with mechs instead of wide with dudes vs. Druid, and you make Spreading Plague a dead card; in fact, if they play it when you go tall, you know you have them firmly on the ropes. My last run was a little crap though, went only 6-3, with every game but one being against a Zoolock, and most of them with Prince Keleseth on turn 1/2, which I think tilted me a little by the end. Surprisingly, during all my runs, Zilliax impacted the game a grand total of diddly squat. IMO, it's an overrated card, and I've now sadly ditched it, because there are far better alternatives for the build.
Also, how good is Big Spell Mage in this meta?! I also tweaked the build with an Astromancer and a Deck of Wonders and a few other bits, and blimey, it's just ridiculous. I've tried it against every single T1 archetype, and it only struggles against Zoolock if you draw badly at the start. If you have the cards or dust, I highly recommend it. Some DOW cards will draw more cards, feeding your Astromancer, pulling more DOW cards which board clear, and landing you a huge minion with the battlecry, giving you absolutely insane tempo on what is probably the lowest win condition out of the 5 or 6 in the deck. And if you everything gets countered and you get to the end game, you still have the DK and Dragoncaller Alanna to flood the board. You can even tech in a Meteorologist to wipe your opponents wide board. Do it, you won't regret it.
All this to say - I'm loving Boomsday so far! Delighted I took the leap and pre-ordered, great xpac.

Wow, this is insane XD
Can you share you decklist please bud?

I wasn't planning on going for a run today. But those cops came out of nowhere.
Almost couldn't be bothered with Brawliseum. Did it at the 11th hour with Whizbang. Went 6-3, all but two of those games were to other players also playing Whizbang.
That was... actually fun? Oh my lord. HS being fun, what a day.
Having the time of my life in both wild and standard lately. Wild with secret Hunter and Standard with "fuck you" Control Warlock. Nothing beats using Gnomeferatu to destroy a combo piece or turning a combo piece into a demon.
So I was playing my own Deathrattle Reno Priest deck in wild and I end up playing against a druid. I didn't draw Dirty Rat so I thought I had basically lost. The only type of combo druid I had a chance against was Star Aligner Druid, which it turned out to be. I thought I might possibly survive thanks to a Mistress of Mixtures I had in play behind a few taunts, but when they played their combo I was surprised to find myself at 20 health due to the second Star Aligner not triggering. I figured out it was because I also had an Unstable Ghoul in play that triggered after the first Star Aligner, so the minions were no longer at 7 health. I promptly Spirit Lashed and Lightbombed for a full board clear, and they promptly conceded.
Just reached legend for the first time! This happened after winnen 5 straight matches in a row into legend. Now its time torment the legend players with whizbang! (Like 1 game)
As recruit/drattle hunter vs. druid (who apparently was a famous streamer), enemy pulled coin into wild growth, into wild growth AGAIN. On my 3 I played a Stitched Tracker who gave a Keleseth. He played Twig. I found the original Keleseth on topdeck, played them both, passed. He played Nourish for crystals (!!!!), attacked and passed. I found a Harisson Jones again on topdeck. He would still put up a good fight with UI followed by big Spreading Plague, but I topdecked my mossy.
Just lost against a prismatic secret paladin in wild. Since the game was fun and took me for surprise, I added the guy back (named chillpenguin) and unlike half the other people who I lose to, he added me back. We had a nice little conversation and I got to learn more about his deck which is fucking hilarious.
As for the actual game, it started off like any other secret paladin deck. I was playing a mill druid so when I saw Dr. 6 land down, I naturalized it thinking that was the top of his curve. Next couple of turns, goes on to drop Ysera, Lich King, and a bunch of other big fatties. Meanwhile, I just assume he was playing some jank top heavy deck until I milled a lens. As soon as I did so, I laughed hysterically because I knew I just got completely memed on. Easily one of the funniest matches I've had in a while.

I don't have something witty about this deck, I just like it because Malygos is fun.

Man I just love arena. I rushed my opponent down to 8, but I had no hand and no board left and went into topdeck mode.
Bone Drake gives me, of course, Emeriss. I topdeck Leeroy (which i drafted) and play Emeriss.
Opponent has a full board, goes face, and decides to kill Emeriss with his poisonous taunt minion.
12/4 Leeroy incoming.
I felt a little bad for this guy, though it was clearly a misplay on his side.
Nope.
How? I need to know! I have 2 of these but cannot get them to work.. ever..
Get fucked, perfect drawing aggro "MIDRANGE" tempo mage. gfy. go play your bullshit face decks on ladder.
posting here because i won, but barely.

Because it got Sniped.
And he instantly conceded.
I have to say, destroying a combo deck with a perfectly time 2-mana secret feels really satisfying.

Togwaggled his ass with a 0 mana King Togwaggle from Chameleos!

Every time I pull off this deck, I'm sure they have literally zero idea what hit them. I think it's competitive even without the combo.

My first golden hero :D
I just had the most lucky game of my life.

Holy damn, that was satisfying.
