They're keeping it a secret apparently and will show it at Blizzcon, which means it most likely has something to do with an upcoming adventure or expansion. What do you guys think?
Pretty sure it'll be an Adventure, but I like the fact that they aren't revealing it until then (if that indeed is the case). As much as I like build-up and hints, it'd be nice to go without making any guesses as to what may come based on the card back. So it'll be a full surprise - which is great, for once.
On that note, wonder if the art used for that image has some sort of a tiniest hint in itself?
And on another note - hope there won't be a patch before Blizzcon that could get data-mined to actually reveal it beforehand.

I suppose you could read Icecrown or something mana related into it, but to be fair "blue magic swirls" has always sort of been BlizzCon's theme too.

Well, the color blue represents the cold, I believe, and I think that's Saronite Ore behind the question mark. Icecrown Citadel seems likely.

That could be a clue, even though I doubt that the card back itself will have anything Blizzcon-themed on it. They usually give away Blizzcon card back to ticket holders, hence why I think Icecrown clue is more likely to be true.

You made me squint into that image way too hard haha. Are you sure that'd be Saronite, or is it our minds trying to find a pattern where there is none?
Yeah, no point in trying too hard to find out as time will tell I suppose. Blizzcon's next week. Let the hype build up (and most likely destroyed because they'll release it a month after the announcement like TGT. -_-).
I wouldn't mind new mechs, to be honest, and thinking Arthas won't be a legendary just because in the future we might get a Death Knight class is pretty idiotic. It's like saying they'll remove Illidan as a playable legendary because in the future we might get a Demon Hunter class.
I am going to guess pretty far fetched here, but that could also be the prison of Yogg Saron in Ulduar.
I wouldn't call that far-fetched. In fact, I think the picture that you provided there is so far the best speculation material. I really like things like that!
To be honest, as much as I'd love to see Icecrown - I'm one of those people on this forum who doubts it. I mean, it'll make for a fantastic Adventure (and people feel like TGT is also a pre-setting), but I don't remember Blizzard following WoW lore in HS.
Seems to be Ulduar, look at the picture's margins, it shows the same edges that appear in ShiftyInc's photo, can't wait to see a Yogg-Saron card if it's Ulduar!
Yeah, I agree that there's a lot of good instances they can pick for Adventures, but it also pleases me to see how passionate some people are about their well-loved places from WoW that can easily make it into the game.
To be fair, I wouldn't mind Ulduar/Icecrown even though TGT wasn't particularly successful in my eyes (speaking of Northrend theme). For as long as cards are actually good and do bring some fresh air into the meta.
Don't think it's time to get sad about TBC raids or anything of the sort not making it into HS. If you think about it, the game is still very young. We're getting just a third Adventure (potentially, yes) and how many good WoW places are there? Blizzard did say that there might be more than one Adventure/Expansion per year, so maybe we'll get a second one a few months down the line.

mfw his Yogg steals my win
I can't help but feel they kind of just skipped the TBC Raids. Black Temple or Sunwell Plateau would have been cool to see in Hearthstone.
I'd be pretty disappointed if it were ICC or Ulduar—we just had a full expansion of Northrend crap. Give me AQ or ZG! Something tropical!

Hoping it's Ulduar or ICC. Also want some Burning Crusade raids though.
GIVE US ULDUAR OR GIVE US DEATH....
*cough*
I really want ulduar, and that comparison to yogg's pit makes me very excited for friday.
I returned to this game much like how a recovering alcoholic can relapse.
Well they can´t do BT because Ilidan is already a card.
On Topic: Think Ulduar is more plausible than ICC.
I think it'll be something not Northrend.
