Every time I load the app and try to log in, it just inexplicably stops and I cant get any further. This is happening even after uninstalling and reinstaling the app. Halp!

LOL @ mobile hearthstone, have fun getting DC'd every time someone plays a card with animation
What phone are you using? I play exclusively on mobile and have had very very few problems. Occasionally I can't hit the end turn button without pressing it multiple times for some reason but I've had no disconnect issues. And I've hit legend mobile-only multiple times so it's not like I'm playing people that don't have golden cards or legendaries that have animations...

What phone do you have? I have an iPhone 4s, if I try and play hearthstone on it, it just lags and eventually crashes. I've heard other people with iPhone 4s that the same thing is happening for them too.
I'm playing on an HTC One M8

Quality of phone definitely matters. I have a Nexus 4 and while the game doesn't crash on me, I do get lots of disconnects if playing over cell network vs my home wifi, and the game for sure has the graphical/functional lag and such when the board fills up, or when crazy animations are going. God forbid someone actually drop something like nozdoramu or whatever that 15 second turn length dragon is..
Now on my friends Nexus 5, game runs waaaaay smoother then it does on my nexus 4. I'm really hoping that over time they find ways to optimize it more for the phone platform for those of us still a few generations back on our phones.

Posting in the official Hearthstone forums would be the first step since you'll never reach them through Hearthpwn...

Actually it works fine for me as long as I am in a hotspot like McDonalds, a conveince store, or anyplace else that has WiFi Service.
And I have never disconnected at my own house. Been using it daily since it was released on phones.
It might depend on the quality of your phone though... mine is pretty new.
