I would never spit on Ancient Watcher. No card will have better stats with this kind of drawback, sicne Watcher is the best in term of stat. 4/5 or 2/4 with the benefit to attack... but then it's only a 2-attack minion. Watcher offers more while Handlock have all the tool to make great use of Watcher.
4 attack is great for Shadowflame purpose while 2 is not something threatening. 5 health is enough to whistand many of the early threaths and is always a pain to deal with if taunted or silenced. I don't want to silence this kind of 2/4 since I'm losing the whole benefit from the Inspire mechanic.
This card just doesn't fit Handlock at all.

Still flirting with the ladder from times to times with Renolock.

This could've possibly replaced Ancient Watcher in Handlock if its stats were 3/4 instead. But alas, it sucks and therefore will not replace it.
And for everyone saying that it still can replace it, apart from 4/5 being a lot better as a taunt or silenced minion than a 2/4, you would also lose the ability of a strong board clear turn 6 by doing Ancient Watcher + Shadowflame.

Seems like Blizzard is trying hard to make anti aggro cards while still try to balancing it and going with the inspire theme... But as many other people posted this card wont see "a lot" play due to not being on curve maybe it will see play in slower control decks where you use your hero power often this could likely act as a zombie chow without huge drawback to it otherwise its not that good.
This is a really interesting card. If it were a 3/4 I could see it easily being used in a few different deck types, but right now it's basically just a weird River Crocolisk.
Maybe it works in Priest or Control Warrior? Unlikely though...

I really like this cards design but on paper it looks a little weak. Continual investment cards should be given a statline as if the mana you pay to keep them online was already apart of the cost. So looking at it on paper, it could be optimized. But I really like this card and continuous mana sink is what I wanted for a while in HS.
Discuss!
Have a great deck that's really, really cheap? Help the new players out
Seems sexy
Always Hunters. Always Huffers.
Possibly replaces ancient watcher in handlock? ??
Smaller Ancient Watcher with possibility to attack. I think he's little to slow. 2nd turn this, 3rd hero power?
If it were a 4/2, maybe!
The upside of a 4/5 with taunt/silenced attack is WAY better than this. I'd put in Imp gang Boss into my handlock deck before I put this.
Probably not. If the body was 3/4 then maybe, but as is, it's too weak to contest as much as watcher does.

This card was probably necessary, as a small nerf to the way way way OP Piloted Shredder.

Not sure if hyped yet.

Son, i'm dissapoint . jpg
This should be a 1 cost creature and then - it would be great!
At 2 mana (of course with out any testing and stuff) it feels like it would need to be bigger to be worth the risk of playing it.
2/5 or even 2/6 seems more playable.
