I dunno. I'm running one of the more common, bullshitty mech mage decks in ladder right now (ducks under thrown tomato from audience) and while my victory ratio is good, the deck is by no means unbeatable. Yeah, MW is probably gonna see a nerf before long, but the deck's not THAT bad.

Well, for a deck to be mollywhopping someone on turn 3-4, that decks needs to draw perfectly, and there's not a whole lot of decks that aren't in a position of dominance by turn 4 if they draw perfectly. Some of them take longer to prove they're perfectly set up to kill you, but they were even at turn 4, again, assuming a perfect draw. As to logic, it seems to me that if aggro decks are drawing perfectly and routinely dominating by turn 4, then yes, the standard of the game is that that's what they do. That, and which deck, of any kind, is actually killing someone on turn 3? An opponent throwing up their hands up and conceding on turn 3 is not the same. I've seen all kinds of nonsense comebacks.
I'm cobnfused. listen, what I wanted to adress here was whether mech mage was in need of a nerf, and not how many times a deck draws a perfect hand at the mulligan. imo - why should any deck be ABLE to beat me at those turns, even if they were crazy lucky? I think it's stupid! isn't it? lol

A reminder for everyone that said UTH+Buzzard, Miracle, Undertaker were all "balanced", "not that bad", "you have to play around it", there will be that guy who says the same thing for MechMage.
That said, Mechs won't be nerfed until the next expansion comes out. Then it will be nerfed. Don't want to let the pack buyers get upset.

I like how somehow you contributed that happening, because he was a Mage, when it's a neutral card that is making that happen(Mechwarper says hello). Mechwarper is too strong, most agree on that and it should be tuned down a bit. But to nerf a class and leave Mechwarper alone when a neutral card is making all this possible is just silly. Hell he had 1 Mage card on the board.
Draw a blade fury, weapon, run into annoyatron, deadly poison, BF. Run your SI agent into the yeti.
Mech mage is the king of over extension. Some aoe really just tears them apart. Did you mulligan for the BF when you saw the mage (or run one at all)? MM has a lot better potential for god draws like this one, but is a lot less stable than Zoo. Doesn't need nerf imo.

yeah cuz if the chance is low enough no one's gonna nerf it. And just as you want to have a blade flurry on this kinda board and make him cry, people like me want to beat you at turn 5 (yes you won't lose until turn 5 at the earliest) cuz it's fun :D. I refuse to bow down to the people who demand aggro be nerfed cuz I like my games to average within 15 minutes and if this game took longer than 2 minutes you should message the mech mage person and tell him to focus and play faster
so in order for me to not lose on turn 4 I need to topdeck blade flurry? doesnt seem very fair to me
Mulligan for it, most mages you run into on ladder are MM. Rogue can actually control MM very well depending on your deck. You do rely on BF to fix god draws like you were against, but they needed a handful of just the right cards to get that. You need 2 to make it go away and win the game.

Mech mages don't need a nerf, sure, mechwrapper is strong but it's not too strong. Use AoE against them. Also, honestly, rogue is pretty bad nowadays, dunno why, somehow it still lacks some true tempo to keep up.
So what is being proposed exactly? That a Blizzard employee monitor games and scold players that appear to be playing mech mage? That code be added which analyzes the deck and reduces the player's starting health to 25 as a penalty? It's bad enough to expect Blizzard to nerf every deck which is successful against yours. It's even worse when you are too lazy to try to figure out why.

MechMage doesn't need a nerf. You were up against the perfect start. It happens. Move on and deal with it.
Tech your deck against it if you want to have a better chance... but perfect draw happens.
