I've been holding off on spending the 700 to buy into Naxxramas, and now I've been reading how they nerfed an important card from that set. It seems likes a lot of Naxx card are deathrattle so is it still worth it to spend all that coin? Thanks for the input!
Fortunately, yes, for now. A few cards on the to-nerf-list though: Loatheb, Sludge Belcher, and Kel'thuzad. So the earlier you get those cards the better.
I guess I'm confused then. If they're going to nerf those cards why should I bother getting them?
They aren't getting nerfed, buddy who said that is 100% clueless. Naxx is absolutely worth getting still. There really isn't a bad card in that set except for Undertaker, which is finally balanced.
It's a much weaker card now. Cogmaster and Micro Machine both charge up faster and have the same health.
Cogmaster requires a friendly mech and can only ever be 3/2 at best. Micro is a 2 mana card and UT is still likely to be better in a Deathrattle deck. It's still a good 1 drop that's got good synergy with many other strong cards, many of which are also in Naxx.

Your're kidding right? None of those cards are even remotely likely to be nerfed.

Blizzard's policy has been to nerf cards that are in every deck. Sludge Belcher is showing up in aggro decks and Loatheb is in most decks. Now that Undertaker is nerfed KT is going to see more play. Also Dr Boom is new so people are still trying to open/craft him, Blizzard doesn't nerf cards until they've made enough money off of them e.g Undertaker. KT may not be getting nerfed soon but Loatheb and Belcher are top candidates.

I can see the ubiquity argument for Belcher, though I still doubt he'll be nerfed. I don't really see how less UT means more KT, except that control decks can afford to run more bombs like KT, but by that logic, there are a plethora of other cards that will also see more play, and should be nerfed.
Loatheb is hardly ubiquitous, and also isn't OP in the slightest. If you think any of these cards will be nerfed, any time in the not too distant future, I don't know what to say other than "you're wrong."
KT isn't even that good of a card, so I do not know why people are saying it will be nerfed. There are much better 8 drops in the game. Dr. Boom is the most likely card to be nerfed next, but probably not for a few more months if at all. Definitely buy naxx, there are way too many solid cards that you need. At least get to the point where you can get Sludge Belchers.

I have yet to hear anyone complain about those cards. Blizzard was even hesitant to nerf Undertaker. Had the community not been in such an uproar about him, he probably wouldn't have been touched. Don't know how many times I read articles where Ben Brode was saying he is perfectly fine.

Sad thing is when the sugar high from the UT nerf wears off and people like this come crashing back to earth. There is already a new 'How do I beat hunter' thread in the Rogue boards. It's tough when reality sets in.
this is the biggest bullshit floating these forums ever since UT nerf.. Naxx =/= Undertaker naxx gives so good cards for so many different decks .. undertaker was just a small part of this amazing set and stuff like mad scientist, kel thuzad, belcher, shade will be amazing cards for a long time.. naxxramas is just as worthy as it was pre-undertaker nerf..
I was afraid you guys would say that. It's gonna be a long slog to 700. Or is it 2800? Anyway, thanks for the info.
it's 3200
(700 per wing)
Fortunately, unless you want to play Priest or Control warrior, the first two wings are enough of naxx, since they have all the must haves. so if i were you i'd set myself in a 1200 gold goal.
Also the first quarter of naxx was free to unlock up to october 2014, so keep an eye for the enxt adventure maybe you'll get some free cards there :).
Interesting how people can give advice without knowing what kind of decks the OT plays.
The nerf to UT changes everything, even other cards of Naxx are now being questioned because they synergize with the UT (ex. Mad Scientist). If you start fresh and decide to play Hunter or Warlock it's now definitely a choice to buy full Naxxramas, or bet your gold/cash on boosters.
The days of "Naxxramas or bust" are definitely over, at least for aggro decks. Which is definitely good for the game.
For control nothing changed, obviously. The Warrior still wants a Death's Bite, Druids their Shade and Priests a pair of Cultists.

No they aren't, people have been playing Mad Scientist, Creeper, Belcher without UT for months. Even Deathlord is starting to see play.
If you are running Traps in a Hunter deck and are thinking of dropping Mad Scientist because UT is nerfed you might as well just uninstall. Creeper is also pretty much an auto include in any hunter/Zoo deck, its basically a mini Highmane.
Webspinner? Egg? Loatheb??

That said, there is much more to Naxxramas than undertaker. I would still get spend the gold for the adventure.

You have to spend 700 gold for every wing you open.
If someone bought Naxx only for the Undertaker, good for them for being stupid LOL. I shall feed on the tasty salt.
There are so many great cards except that retardedly designed card, namely uh... I just can't name them all. Way too many.
