Wrong place to state facts and try to make a point. Most people here are paladin mains cuz of its high winrate and minimal intelligence required. Write anything remotely bad/constructive about Paladin and get disliked into oblivion.
i really dont understand what they are doing... when i saw the new paladin cards i felt like, " ooh boy thats gonna be pretty strong.." i mean zilliax for 3 mana and 1 more for 1 mana, cards that buff minions in hand, and buff divine shield minions, 3 mana card that draw 2 cards...Tarim that its great at attacking and defending on board.
1-they bring back Leeroy (that i love) but now with out buffs, with one aura and the excavate card (windfury, divine shield), turn 8 it is 18 damage on face... i mean if you buff it 2 or 3 times this goes to 24/26... if you are not playing paladin you need to have alot of taunts because neither a good control deck with board clears are safe now! if you have taken 7 or 8 damage until you gain control of the board, you feel like "ok, lets start going for the win" and on turn 8/9/10 take 20 something damage from hand and you are dead without having a change of doing something. its like a OTK but instead you are a control/combo deck, you are playing an aggro deck that makes pressure on board since turn 1...
2-paladin already have lifesteal cards, why they print a zilliax for 3 mana and get another one to buff for 1 mana?? lol
i really wanna see what can they do? dont forget its the first set of the year, are they gonna nerf excavate card to 4/5 mana or taking out the windfury? are they gonna nerf the 3 mana zilliax on steroids to 5 mana? are they not going to print more cards to paladin? :S lol because paladin have it all in high quality cards.
just wanna say one more thing, i like to play control decks, and i would love to play Highlander, but how can you do that when you have a direct counter to that with super aggressive decks and plague DK everywhere (i mean 85% or 90% only plays this tipe of decks)... its really sad, and i saw so many topics RENO should get ban or nerf... so strong.... well not really like someone said nobody says something, because the reality is, ppl just wanna play aggro (to have a fast and no brain game). this is not a hate to paladin sometimes i like to play this type of decks to, because for the balance of the game,its important to have midrange, control, aggro and combo decks. when you have something that is to oppressive you need to have a counter!
I'm beating all of them with my Warlock deck, but i'm sure its only because Wheel of DEATH!!! OTK, otherwise I could never compete with their raw stats output/lifesteal xenanigans every turn. The devs sure went overboard with the handbuff cards this time.
Yep, initially I was stunned by them leaving a class with handbuff + Leeroy + Windfury, but the LIFESTEAL is overwhelming. There were games I was playing yesterday that I'd get them down to 8 health and they be back to 30 with minions on board the next turn. Like, historically Priests, Shaman and Druids had to heal through spells, which left their board empty, but now Paladins have Lifesteal + Divine Shield + Rush minions that do their job AND hang around past their turn?
How do you manage to hold them back until wheel activates? It's a stretch for me.
I don't understand why people want Leeroy back. 'Charge' is the very opposite of interactive design. Please stop encouraging it.
My personal rule for the deck is when using Wheel you must have at least 2 board clears in hand for the following turns ( among Sargeras, Twisting Nether x2, Reno...), also, Fanotten is mandatory to have it the same turn, and if you already had Forge of Wills in play the same turn for a insta 30/30 in stats, they'll have to spend one turn just to clear that.
My gut feeling is the weapon needs nerfing, 1 less durability or a higher mana cost, at a minimum.
Just had a game where I BARELY limped through by playing Wheel Lock (where I had to choose between Reno and the Wheel through Fracking and burned the Wheel...). There was so much hand-buffing going on, that my opponent played a MINI Plush Tiger that was a 10/10 (!?!). Everything after Turn 4 I felt on the back foot and was 1 turn from being dead. If he had Leeroy in hand, I would have been.
This expansion is pretty much the most awful, out of balance thing I've seen, and I've been around since beta. In the past, although there were otk's, at least you had a chance on board. Now, this is just purposeless. Will do my quests until next expansion, but winning 5 games/week has just become ridiculous. Gotta switch to wild for a while.
It has been broken for years. This is not news. The top spot on hsreplay has rarely been contested by other than Paladin. Every new expansion they get new overtuned aggro cards. Go to the card reveals and see people being disliked by the 20’s because they stand a threat to their beloved Paladin. If you want it to get nerfed start playing it yourself and bm every single opponent at least 20 times. That will get people to realize.
I’d say an auto-concede campaign against paladin. People who play it won’t find any opponent apart from mirror matches and will get to experience the same shit they make other experience over and over again. Hopefully, after being unable to find any other opponents than mirror matches of the same broken shit, they’d come to the same conclusion as everyone else: this needs to change.
While I have always loved handbuff decks, the current Paladin iteration is bonkers. Paladin’s new mini card is basically Ziliax of old and that card was good enough to be in nearly every deck. I have played the current Handbuff Pally a number of games (sorry!) and it’s just so easy to win with Leeroy. I am assuming Shroomscavate will get a mana added on at some point, but I do hate that for shaman.
Deputization Aura is crazy strong.. How they came up with it being only 3 mana for 3 turns is mad, never mind the rest of the paladin package. Windfury seems an obvious nerf candidate.
Seems fairly obvious they don't play test these cards before release.

Sop basically if they pass and play nothing while you get perfect setup, you win with wheel...
Yes, exactly, feels like you can't even compete, they have the best healing and damage, thanks to the handbuffs and auras.
Hard nerfing Deputization Aura should fix this problem
