I'm beginning to spend more time trying to climb again in HS because I wasn't focusing on it as much in the past month or so and didn't even attempt to go to Rank 5 where I usually stop. 10 games in today and honestly Hearthstone has never felt so different. This is a great thing though! Many classes are getting played, cool interactions are happening*, and fresh metas are always well... refreshing.
To expand on cool interactions happening there is a caveat. I see a lot of decks quickly creating 5+ cards in their hand in the early turns and that is alarming to a non-discovery/creation deck. For instance I have been climbing with Highlander Hunter and for the most part quite well. I'm barely above 50% right now, but I keep getting decimated by decks that create 10-15 cards throughout the game. It seems that the meta is going to settle on value control or value tempo. This means that MOST Highlander decks will be kicked out. This isn't by any means bad for the deck I like- it is healthy for the game. I think this is going to make some pretty long-winded matches though. Imagine Quest Rogue Vs. Quest Shaman: They just keep slinging small minions and spells, destroy each others boards as fast as they build, play maybe 40-50 cards a match, and at the end what cards you created through discovery and RNG are what win you the game.
I don't like curve out to win aggro, and I definitely don't like armor up 6 turns in a row then fatigue for 30 turns. Is this the better route to take the game into?

Singleton Hunter is one of the strongest decks right now.
It struggles against Quest Paladin and most aggro decks.
In particular, you should be blowing all Mages and most control decks out of the water. You are favored against all Quest decks other than Paladin.
I think maybe you just need more practice with the new cards.

I think you missed the point of the post.
