PS, if you're wondering what Zayle, Shadow Cloak is (see the image listing all the PvE content), it's the new Whizbang the Wonderful. You'll earn a golden copy of Zayle for owning all five wings, and he'll enable you to play with five new deck recipes. And because Zayle is golden, so will all the cards in those decks be. Again, great for new players, or those who love a bit of bling.
Tbh I can't wait for that PvE, which will take place in May. If you read the article, you will know that this will be the biggest solo-adventure set the devs have been working on until now.
Hoffing baku and gen? They are fairly new. They really messed up. They only needed to fix paladins hero power. I feel they should at least give us full dust refund while still keeping the cards since many gave invested so much on odd and even cards.
I've been playing some secret paladin and divine favor absolutely had to go. It's the most broken unfair card draw ever printed. A lot of times I use it to draw 6-7 cards.
Naturalize ...it's super powerful. I'll mostly miss it for the secondary uses it had, namely milling cards and killing your own deathrattle minions. Druid better be getting some fantastic cards though.
Doomguard was never the problem, it was the cube. But charge minions are always one card away from ruining the game, so I get this one too.
Genn and Baku...don't let the door hit you on the way out.
[edit] Zoolock is going to struggle with that Doomguard HoF. Normally this archtype forms a different package every new hs year, but this time we are going to say goodbye to it.
Zoolock will be fine as long as life tap is there.
And this is exactly why it was a mistake to even start balancing wild. This is only going to keep happening and get worse.
Yeah, this is really going to start to suck being a wild player. I do play both modes but for the most part I'm a wild specialist because I love creative homebrews. Now it's just gonna be bottlenecked into genn/baku nonsense and hyper agro to counter said genn/baku nonsense.
It's a great move by Blizzard for pure standard players but for people like me who actually not only give a shite about wild but love and specialize in it, it really isn't fair to be honest. If they were going to HOF them they should have changed their effects to battlecries so no one gave a crap about them.
Im kinda more concerned by what they are doing to adventures pve. Seems like that is getting a paywaylled aswell. At least before the first revamp we got cards to play in standard, but now it seems like you will do first chapter and after that pay gold or money or thats it.
I do hope the "multiple mode" include standard but I think it won't as there will be two additional pve modes, so most likely will only work for those only.
Not what I expected. Naturalize is a weird choice for a class that is already pretty much in the dump. And doomguard now, after cube has had its day? Anyway, at least I never need to see another odd warrior again.
The entire single player will cost 20 bucks or 2800 gold, and for that you will get 15 regular packs, plus a golden pack.
A gold pack is worth like double a regular pack, so you are getting the single player pretty much for free when you count all the extra goodies, if you assume you just would have bought packs with the gold anyway.

Naturalise was on the way to HOF before the nerfs, I remember reading a interview, just after Boomsday, where Mike Donais hinted at HOFing these three cards and prep. Prep escaped, which is unfortunate, I would rather have prep HOFed than naturalise.
First set of year of dragon might create one of the best metas this game has ever seen without any incredible power spikes. I am incredibly excited right now.

For 2800 gold you can buy 28 packs, for this you get 15 plus 80 dust. No matter what the goodies are they wont reward 13 (or 11 depending on if you count 80 dust) packs.
Divine Favour and Doomguard is too much. Also, why rotating cards of sets that will still be in play in the next year? This is nonsense. The whole Whichwood expansion was build around Genn and Baku and this now is pure bulls*it. Yeah, some say free dust, but many of us have decks, built around these two cards. I don't get the whole idea behind this change...

A gold pack is worth a minimum of 300 dust. Try to be a bit reasonable.
Don't buy it with gold, buy it with money and use your gold for cards. 20 bucks for fifteen packs is standard. All the extras are free then. Use your gold for expansion day instead.

that's exactly what happens when cards get HOF'd. you keep the cards AND get full dust value for said cards.

Blizzard actually listening to fans...amazing.
So nice, fuck Baku, fuck Genn, fuck Naturalize.

I agree with you to a certain extent, though the loss of a big charging minion will be a huge hit to this archtype.

This means that Firetongue totem will stay forever at 3 mana...Great....
Increase its health at least, damn it!!

Stop whining.
Does anyone know precisely what this means?
"If you craft these cards now, you will get your dust refunded once Year of the Dragon begins AND you will keep the cards."
A few examples
You have 2 doomguards and 2 golden doomguards. Do you get dust for goldens or only normals?
You have 1 doomguard and 1 golden doomguard. Do you get dust for golden or only 1 normal doomguard?
You have 2 golden doomguards. Do you get dust for goldens or no dust?
Me? Gongaga.

You get dust for goldens, 2 in the first case, 1 in the second, 2 in the last. In second case, you also get dust for that normal doomguard.
