Stop this shit pointless posts this is the 3rd post today about this topic jesus.Odd/even decks are fine is you are bored of hs nerfing them wont help you just quit it or go to salty posts
They are fine because you play them, am I right?
no they are fine cuz they are fine period non of them is over the top of meta but hunter and priest is and non of them are odd/even decks so tell me again why these are fine but odd/even arent?
I never said that they are fine, this topic about Baku/Genn, so I talk about them.
so nerfing lower tier decks and not the top ones is ok? cuz this thread is about that and thats makes 0 sense you said to odd warrior die but its a high tier 3/low end tier 2 deck at best thats legit to you?
It's not about tier.... I think 10% of all the players are higher than lvl 5 in the ladder. Who cares about top tier shit copied from internet?
The problem is lower level where the game is getting BORING! This is the word. Odd paladin is a very boring deck to face. 6 turns of mini shits beating your ass before you do anything.
Odd Warrior is even more boring. Quest-armo-Taunt-armor-taunt taunt-armor-taunt taunt- armor-
Odd rogue same shit -hero power-pump-pump- that shit +1+1- pump pump die
It's not about losing game. Is losing BOOOOOOOORIIIIIIING GAME. And most of the people here are playing in order to win with a internet copied deck, rather than having some fun playing a creative deck against another creative deck.
Let's keep all this "pro" tier deck for who wants to be legend, but the game HAS to be FUN under level 10 of the ladder.
You you want sth to be nerfed cuz its boring ofc you would make 0 senses statement if you find hs boring leave as nerfing cards cuz they are boring and not broken is just stupidity
But baku is broken for at least warrior and paladin. For the next year they have to make sure to print nearly no good odd paladin and warrior... Look at all the nerfs recently that have happened to break down odd paladin, and it is still doing good... Clearly an issue with the hero power. Baku and Genn are making many people quit hearthstone, so telling more people to leave isn't a good mentality, if it happens to much than hearthstone is done.
1st his logic was just that they are boring 2nd as i also stated only paladin hp needs to change to summon 1 2/2 as its the most oppressive one
The thing is, if a game is start to be boring for th majority of odd decks people will stop play or play themselves boring decks making more people leaving . As you see if you are making money with a game, you don't want people leave. That's why is healthy nerfing cards that are literally killing the game. Overpowered powers from turn zero ended up being a cancer for the game. It's been the same with pirate warrior and secret paladin. Just a boring bad game to play. You can say, if you don't like you can leave. Yes, this is exactly the problem i am talking about. "they" don't want my (thousands of people) money going away.
I think the big issue with Genn/Baku is that all of the previous build-around cards required you to draw them. You had to draw Reno to reset your health to full, you had to draw Keleseth to play a 2 mana 25/25, etc. Just building your deck around some silly rules (let's be honest, Hearthstone has so many near reprints the odd/even rules aren't that limiting) and you get the bonus right off the bat. Of all the solutions I've seen, I think I like the one that forces Genn and Baku into your opening hand, essentially -1 useful card for improved hero power.

Actually Genn/Baku limitations DO make a difference. It's why a lot of decks don't use either of them as they NEED certain cards to make themselves work.
The decks that use Genn/Baku don't rely on a lot of KEY cards. Instead their 'key' card is their hero power. Odd Rogue can go without insane cards like Evis because that 2/2 weapon is just so nice to have at all times that it dosn't matter. Paladin honestly doesn't care. It's been switching between even and odd because all it really cares about is the hero power, so it just swaps to whatever happens to have the better cards at the time.
The point is that the deck limitation isn't limiting them not because of redundancy but because the hero powers are SO useful and SO reliable (never having to rely on finding them, or even using cards to use them) that they just work whatever mess of a deck they end up cobbling together.
There's a suggestion of having the hero powers only proc on their 'opposing' times (Genn only works on odd turns, Baku only even. Otherwise it's back o the normal hero power). I lean towards that solution with a possible addiition of the one you like if it proves not strong enough.
Though I'm also not against just nuking the things from orbit as well.
I play Aggro Pirate Kingsbane in Wild... like 20 games a day and Odd Warrior in Standard (like 3 games or about the same time I spend in wild). I just feel like your hero power being so strong EVERY turn is too boring. If it were every SECOND turn it would matter because you would have to think whether or not to use it on Turn 4 or to play your 3+1 cost cards for tempo and get only 2 armor the next turn. Just my opinion.

One does not simply walk into Mordor,
unless they want to be the best they can be.
The cards are fine. Some of baku's hero powers need adjustment, but the cards themselves are fine, especially Genn.
