Or maybe they did that on purpose to keep the powercreep in limits. It'd be stupid to powercreep K&C and KFT since they are already insane, so pack up the cards and wait. April will unlock many cards yet unplayed and it will be a good time to play. For now, chill.
"It's better that it's weak, next year the game will be in a much better place"
Sorry, but making a weak set is in general stupid
A weak expansion might be better in an surrealistic picture that a general low power level is better for the game in a grand picture, but in reality it isn't.
A weak powerlevel or high powerlevel overall is not bad for the game, but making only a limited amount of cards that are a high powerlevel and the rest are lower powerlevel is a problem. If the divide in powerlevel between the good cards in a deck and the bad cards in a deck is too large then the game will be much more draw dependent and that's not good.
You need to find the right balance and try to aim for that balance with all sets. If one goes way over that balance you should continue to focus on your previously defined balance and wait for that set to rotate. Just trying to one-up every expansion with new expansions is a way to ruin a game pretty quickly.
HSReplay shows decks'/classes' win rates fluctuating like fucken' crazy and you're telling us RR is shit? Dude, the meta is forming and it changes daily.
For example, 2 days ago Hunter was king with two distinct archetypes taking the cake - Spell and Deathrattle, now it's surpassed by, surprise, Liam Odd Paladin AND Even Paladin.
Warlock, other than Heal, was considered shit and subpar a few days ago and suddenly it's the 3rd class overall (with pretty much no RR cards used, sadly, but Discard Lock is shaping up to be quite interesting).
Everything is evolving, once the dust settles in a month or so we will be able to draw some conclusions. Sure, it might eventually turn out to be mostly a gateway expansion, setting up great archetypes for the coming Standard Year and 2019 sets, but that's ok too.
Also, yeah, KFT and KnC have some seriously bonkers cards, no wonder most of them aren't being cut in favor of new options.
People also need to stop bashing on people who play old decks...They are not all rich to pre order and get the legendaries they want..
But people keep on harashing them so what can you say hmm...
Blizzard gives us all a free Loa with its two totems. You can literally buy 0 new packs and you will still have a direction to go towards with a random buildaround legendary. Sure, it will be a bad deck, completely unrefined and if it does take off it will probably need more new cards. But this whole excuse of being poor to play old, safe, boring decks no longer works now.

People, rich or poor, are FREE to play ANYTHING they want. You can cry, hold your breath, emulsify yourself. I don't care. I'm FREE. And I don't give a rat's ass about you or any other whiner. Nobody should.
I said this on launch day. This xpan is a total failure and the game is headed to an end. You honestly dont even need any of these xpansion cards to grind the ladder if you so desire. Even zuljin is lackluster. Kingsbane got two cards to draw the weapon faster and thats really the only card that made that deck actually better. Zuljin is pure rng jokestone and other than the yawning you get when you play him and watch random happen for 10 minutes that gets annoying. They havent figured out how to reduce animation time or literally resolve the entire sequence of cards before you see the end result is a sign of pure laziness. Oh well. I'm done ever buying more packs so Blizzard do what you want. I do the quest and log. Honestly if the game was gone tomorrow I wouldnt even care. THere are so many other things to do and spend money on. I just ordered $1600 in parts for my new pc and got a new ipad pro 2018. Sorry Blizzard hearthstone isnt getting installed on it either,
I'm playing an old deck and I am ok with that, it's something I never played before. I messed around with some of the new cards in warrior decks for two weeks, but it all felt a bit janky, and I was excited for those cards. I don't buy rush or dragon warrior at the moment; can't compete with deathrattle or fast combo decks, or hunter. Kicked around with odd druid using Gonk and it was fun, but ineffectual. Some guy slammed me for playing maly druid today, and he was running like four new cards in an elemental exodia mage. I just shook my head at him thinking that he was pushing the boundaries and being all creative. At some point in the season I like to win a few games, sorry if that's considered poor sportsmanship.

Start of Year: Provoke the failure of 3 expansions, force nerfs on otherwise balanced cards, bring deckbuilding to an all-time low and get rotated one year earlier for being such a threat to the game's health. - Genn and Baku's historical entry on the White Book of Shit Design, shortly before retiring unpunished
I think odd paladin is holding back a lot of new decks, maybe ww style nerfs to the archetype could bring a more varied meta (like cube warlock nerfs did), I'm not really against something like that in this particular case because odd pala is a very old deck and is using almost no new card.
People need to remember that most of the cards being used are still from KotFT and K&C. As soon as these are gone (together with the Quests) the power level will drop by a huge amount. The remaining hero cards (Hagatha the Witch, Dr. Boom, Mad Genius, Zul'jin + ?) are arguably less powerful than their DK counterparts, same goes for the legendary spells introduced in Boomsday. Sure, without the DKs and legendary weapons there might be less interesting mechanics but some of these cards were so dominant/omnipresent...
Also, the Overkill keyword actually allows for more minion combat instead of dropping powerhouse after powerhouse until your resources are exhausted. Let's take BSM as an example, the upcoming rotation will rip the decks core apart. Say bye to Frost Lich Jaina, Dragoncaller Alanna, Sindragosa, The Lich King, Meteor, Dragon's Fury... the same goes for archetypes such as DR Hunter, Spell Hunter or Cubelock. Also, I cannot await the day Prince Keleseth is gone.

Many of the cards are good. The problem is we either have many late-bloom HS players that joined late in the game or people have forgotten how actually luke warm many cards were in vanilla, GvG, & TGT. People are used to having powerhouse cards is what I think, even before DKs.
Great! RR created a ton of archetypes, they just can't compete against turn 5 12/12 and turn 3 5/5s + protection against aoe. (I say this as someone who has laddered a ton with those degenerate decks).
Once the infinite value BS goes away, I think we'll see a lot more tier 4 decks rise to the top.
I never said that and in fact, I've played since closed beta and up until this xpansion, I had a complete collection with 150+ golden legendaries. I made legend when people complained about hunter and starving buzzard refilling your hand with hounds. I wasted so many people with leeroy combo warlock and annihilated people with patron warrior(a deck I made solid gold on release day). The devs are not even trying or simply do not have enough brain power to figure it out. Why should they? Honestly, they have players who don't care what they produce but keep buying it. Well sorry, Blizzard I'm done supporting your company and your game. Nobody plays anything but the best-synergized decks because there really is no point in playing anything else if you are laddering. There is no reason to play a brawl past the free pack unless you have the brawl quest and even if that quest was 100g for completing I would reroll it because brawls are just plain bad. it is bad! No hype or wait and let us see if it gets better can dispute raw data and facts. I look at the cards objectively and they offer nothing in terms of power level and game-changing at all. This xpan was designed to milk wallets (sorry Blizzard you didn't get mine) and that's it. Players have to understand comments like mine are not meant to degrade and offend, if you think different than me that's great. My comments are meant only to offer my view as a player since closed beta who has seen it all. STreamers who make money off this game like toast, kripp and all the others will never say these cards suck and the players are getting ripped off buying them. These dudes make zero money if they don't have games to play that people will watch and the companies that they are connected to at the hip would drop their asses if they actually voiced a "real" opinion. LifeCoach told everyone what was so fuked up with the game when he left. He moved on to greener pastures and never looked back. The only chance of anything changing in the game is to literally just stop buying into it. When they make no money off it either they will take notice and listen to players or fold and be done. Considering I the three xpans a year and the roughly $250 bucks I spend on each one plus the promotional stuff each year it's probably about $1k a year. Now take 10,000 people like me and do the math. When we leave they will notice but then again if they replace us with 100,000 spending $250 a year will they even care, probably not and that's why I've moved on. Welcome to EA-Blizzard-Hacktivision. ADIOS!

Lots of decks weren't premade and weren't found on the first day of the expansion. Lots of decks are obvious, but certainly not all of them.

Sure, Genn Greymane and Baku the Mooneater will probably receive additional synergies every now and then. On the other hand they'll be stripped off some their power as well (Odd Rogue needs to replace Fire Fly, Tar Creeper, Vicious Fledgling, Vilespine Slayer, Fungalmancer, Cobalt Scalebane and more... notice how many of these are strong neutral minions?)

Nice see Blizzard comes to sense and make more balanced cards.

ADIOS!
