I have experienced many popular games releasing Awesome Updates, Expansion and Patches, but then, they shut down the game all of a sudden causing Despair in people! Is that going to happen to Hearthstone too?
Like for example, Rastakhan's Rumble might get some New Ideas like Overkill and staff, bt noticing some card designs i feel kinda anxious that they are re-applying New ideas based on the same ideas, and the game might last for 2 years or less only.
This is just a gut feeling. I can't forget Warstorm, a Facebook card game vanishing completely where i enjoyed many cool custom decks that i enjoyed playing, then all of a sudden that's gone. Warstorm broke my Trust, can Blizzard's Hearthstone keep up with people's aspirations?

Hearthstone has 100 million players. It’s an absolute cash cow. If Blizzard is still milking Warcraft 3, then HS will be around for a very long time. Besides, it just keeps getting better!
Blizzard is never gonna abandon one of their games overnight.
As for the matter of printing cards based on the same ideas, it's not new, far from it. The first example that comes to mind is how Princess Huhuran got her value completely denied by Terrorscale Stalker which was literally the same effect printed on a Rare, and then it became a common spell in Play Dead But that's just one of many.
Not all expansions have to bring many crazy ideas on the table: this one is clearly reinforcing existing archetypes, or ones that weren't as strong as they could be, and that's a good thing.
Yes, the game is dying because they are reusing older designs. It all began with reprinting Discover cards. Don't trust the numbers. Well, they say even more people play Hearthstone, but I have the feeling, it is all going down.
Remember Magic the Gathering? Probably not. They quit printing cards years ago after they had started reprinting older cards.
On a more serious approach: Yes, they are reapplying older designs. But that is actually a great thing imho. They learnt to balance them out much better. The bitter note on that is the power creep, though. IDK if there can be 'good' power creep, we will have to see in the future.
Hearthstone has been out since 2014 and many players participated in the Beta before its official release and Blizzard has a history of games living a very long time. World of Warcraft has been out since 2006, with Warcraft series released before that (which is coming back remastered). Starcraft has been out since 1998, Diablo has been out since 1996, etc. Games like Hearthstone, Overwatch and Heroes of the Storm are all relatively new to the scene and have a lot of different ways they can take the games. They are all still very much in their infancy.
While there is some kind of upheaval going on at Blizzard right now, many assume it is because of Activision and Vivendi putting the pressure on them to increase profits, I don't foresee these games going anywhere. With that said, Trading Card Games are very easy to break. If they don't pay attention to how they distribute power within card sets, with an eye on how it also affects Wild format, they can easily "break" Hearthstone to where you can only play aggro decks in order to win. Many TCG's have seen this happen over time.
Hearthstone kind of has a set up like MTG where only the most recent cards can be used in competitive play, but cards from all sets can be played in a "wild" format, so it helps keep that "broken" feeling from entering competitive play and allows for a lot of really unique deck builds in Wild. I think Blizzard is doing well with Hearthstone, and I don't see it slowing anytime soon. They have a ton of lore they can pull from in World of Warcraft (where 90% of the cards are based from) to create numerous future sets. Yes, some ideas are going to get recycled in order to keep some kind of balance and familiarity with the standard set of cards, but I don't see them having any struggles. All of Hearthstone's income comes through micro-transactions which is where most of Activision has seen its profits come from (after purchase of game, of course) and since Hearthstone doesn't cost anything to download and play, or to continue to collect cards, it relieves that stress of feeling like you have to "buy" to stay competitive, especially since numerous streamers have proven you can go from 25 to legend (now 50 to legend) using just f2p decks.
Oh crap, this is disgusting to see this kind of thread every fucking hour and all of them are in different threads. They can't even search the site !!

Memedeck-seeker. Always tries to build new decks. Hates tournements, streamers, netdecks and poor-o players. ah, but a tournement mode could be great !!!
I'd much rather have them reinforce old archetypes that haven't been played in forever like Control Paladin and Discardlock than try to force 9 new archetypes every expansion (boomsday more or less).
Well, some might have got hurt seeing the post and so did i. Bt the most important thing is to help and get the game going. And all of us are doing that here. I just stirred the thinkers here and got my answer. Sorry for any inconvenience. I hope and pray that Hearthstone lives on even after our Death when our children can play that game. Happy Gaming Everyone!

Are u really comparing a browser game to a AAA game from a wealthy successful company like Blizzard? Wow wow wow. Want a good example? Rainbow six siege failed hard at its first year but with a dedicated team and a wealthy company backing the project they turned it around and now its a great game.
HS as always been great and honestly stuff like the tournament mode being cancelled IS A SIGN OF HOW WELL THE GAME IS REGARDING PLAYER BASE AND MONEY INCOME.
Why? Cause implementing new stuff makes sense if theres a degrading in those stats. Right now the game is flowing and with Artifact flopping at release so close to Xmas and RR exp HS is gliding as smooth as a lizard on ice

Please... stop.
There is no proof that the game is dying, just your personal opinion/ feeling.

Hello.
Mods please just delete this post or any other similar to this
Yet another doom and gloom post. Do us all a favor and use the search, these posts happen a lot, especially around expansion time.
If you are in your first year of playing please read this post.
Dust does not burn a hole in the jar. Be careful what you craft, especially before and right after a rotation.

The Lich King
Every expansion same doomsayers entering the arena, I smell trolling.
-let´s negotiate: you concede and I let you live...
Facepalm
Let's Change Hearthpwn's name as "Doomsayers".

100 million players OMEGALUL
I don't know where you live, but in 2018 MtG got more 1000 card in 4 different expansions (okay some are not new, but still the larger chunk is).
