I am a relatively new Hearthstone player and I just packed Golden Ysera. However, I have been reading that she is to slow to use in a deck these days in the ladder. I have been playing a budgetvmid-range hunter deck for the past month (my second month) and reached rank 19. Should I consider disenchanting Ysera to build a new deck or improve my hunter deck?
No, keep her. She may not be used in the meta right now, but she's not bad by any means. I've played her in a dragon control pala to get to rank 5 in September.
Unless there is a card that you really need to make a deck I'd say keep Ysera. There may come a day where you wish you had that cool flashy golden Ysera :) Plus... if you D/E her... there is always a chance you will open her again.
Disenchant if you need dust badly to make a competitive deck, but if you can afford to hold onto her I would.
EDIT (Regarding Rastakhan's Rumble): Also... with a new expansion right around the corner i'd at least wait until after that meta settles... you never know... Ysera might see play in a competitive deck then. Also doing any crafting right now is a bad idea... the decks you craft right now might not see play when the new expansion hits.
I did disenchant Golden Ysera when I started playing back un 2013 because I had a nongolden too. And now I regret It so much. Ysera was an awesome card during a lot of seasons, and I never saw a golden one again.
I'm a sucker for keeping my golden legendaries. I went over 2.5 years between opening my first (Neptulon) and opening my second (Genn Greymane) so they're kind of special to me in a 'these things are really few and far between' sense. That said, if you aren't attached to Ysera other than her efficacy as a playable card, then dust her for whatever is important to you!
Wouldn't do it. The devs are not hunter players nor hunter fans. There are metas where hunter is not even viable. The DK has helped in recent metas, but it will cycle out.

Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.
Usually i d say to keep it, but since you are quite new - definetly dust it, and craft either:
Baku the Mooneater - because Odd rogue is relatively cheap to make AND much better than midrange Hunter AND will make you better aggro player AND rotation-proof, since Baku is from witchwood and will stick around in Standart for a long time.
Or if you dont mind some random - Whizbang the Wonderful if you want to try many different decks to decide which one is closest to your liking. Hes essentially 16 decks in 1 card which is insane, and at least half of them good enough to beat tier 1-2 decks with relative ease. And others are still much better than some random ftp pile, it can be piloted up to rank 5 without much trouble.
Of course, you can wait until 4th of december for new expansion to drop, but i dont think its worth waitng for.
To explain the many differing opinions here, a lot of that has to do with the fact that some players love golden cards and other players don't value them. I fall into the latter camp. Golden cards look cool but don't offer anything beyond normal cards otherwise. I would say disenchant the golden Ysera to get your 1,600 dust. You can do a lot with that dust and improve your decks. Good move for a new player. Regular Ysera on the other hand would only yield 400 dust from and I wouldn't disenchant. I agree with Stock_speaketh's post. But if you consider yourself more of a gold cards collector than maybe you feel differently.
Is a golden Legendary 4 epics worth of value? Almost always no. Dust is dust, it's how you play the game. Anyone saying don't dust has enough dust and you shouldn't listen to their opinion. IF your goal is to get certain cards and you're short dust, no question to dust it; you think you'll have fun staring at a golden legend in your collection instead of actually playing? Some people's priority here is simply not to let you have fun without spending money, since that's how they did it.

If you thought you knew what you think I know, then you'd know I knew you knew I know.
Don't do it. Ysera always is a strong control card. Control is in the dumpster right now because combo decks can instantly close out games and aggro runs over them, but when we do have a control meta Ysera shines. She's great in Dragon decks (in wild), in wallet Warrior, etc. Plus she's golden! A good golden legendary is a bad disenchant.
Also consider this. You disenchants this Ysera for 1600 dust and then in 39 classic packs you get a common Ysera. You were cheated out of 1600 dust that could have gone to other classic meta legendaries like Harrison Jones. Since we will likely have classics forever (we get those packs from brawls, quests, and sometimes giveaways) disenchanting legendaries is always dangerous. Do you really want to get Millhouse Manastorm over and over again?
Respectfully disagree with your last point. Nobody cares how you build your collect (F2P or paying with Money). WobblyLlama is a new player and starting to build a collection... They don't have a normal version of the card Ysera. Alot of people are saying to hold onto it because it could be a good card in the future for them to have in their collection. No one is solely saying that they should keep it because simply because it's golden.
I also wouldn't advise a new player to dust a halfway decent classic legendary (golden or not) just to boost a midrange hunter deck that may not see play in a few months. My worst crafting decisions were definitely made within the first months of playing hearthstone.
If you care about golden cards, if you like your cards to be golden, then keep her, because she does occasionally see play.
If you do not care about golden cards at all, there is absolutely no reason why you should not dust her. Even if you need her someday you can simply re-craft her for the same cost, without losing anything but the animation.
You won't pull dupe legendaries until you have every legendary in the set. As such, don't dust any legendaries until you're confident that you're done pulling packs from that set. Since you'll always be pulling classic packs, you should never dust classic legendaries.
Golden Ysera was my first golden legendary as well, and I still find it one of the better goldens. Also, Ysera might not see 'big time play' on the ladder atm, but who knows what comes. It is still a great card, so there is always potential. You might want to disenchant Ysera right now, but you will regret that choice later.
Also she is a card generator. So all of the cards you will get of her, will be golden as well. Even the more value.

yeah dust it
Unless you have to climb right now, I say keep her. Gold legendaries are rare enough to merit it.
I think u should disenchant... and improve your deck.
If u could... start crafting neutral cards to use in some decks.
Don't dust her you'll regret it. the 1600 dust you'll use to improve a shitty hunter deck won't take you far.

Keep It for sure.
For sure keep it. Ysera, Maly, and Alex always come back.
PLUS: any golden card that makes more cards is a golden multiplier. it’s fun to end up with more Golden’s off of one card.

Ok. Thanks. Will do, would you be able to send me a deck lost for that dragon deck?
