With all the outcries from everyone about druids, and no standard Druid decks affected at all, is it possible Blizzard is afraid of nerfing Druid?
I would be disappointed if they didn’t nerf Druid simply because people are sheep and rush to the easiest decks to play, and thus blizzard would have give “a lot” of dust refunds (as if that affects their profits in any real way).
I play druid from time to time, and I’m blown away that they didn’t touch a single standard card that affects them.
I can't imagine what they'd be "afraid of" as far as nerfs go. Perhaps they expect Standard Druid to drop in power level dramatically after the next expansion or rotation, and want to maintain a certain ebb and flow of top tier meta classes. Blizzard works several expansions ahead, and can take a longer view on the issue than we can (for better or for worse).
Well I think Blizzard are afraid that they'll do what they usually do. Either nerf it so light that it doesn't change anything or they nerf into unplayability.
Like with the current changes. Aviana means they need to either run an extra Juicy Psychmelon or draw a 10 drop combo piece before hand and they need 1 Innervate. Not really gonna change a lot, maybe take an extra turn or two. Giggling Inventor was nuked from orbit and will never see play ever again.
So yeah, they afraid because they are incompetent.

To be fair, I don't think some of the druid decks are as easy to play as say odd rogue. Taunt is the obvious exception, and token to some degree. But with a stable meta and the last expansion just making things worse with more busted druid cards, there's a lot of players with plenty of experience and even more ridiculous combo enablers. Everyone says this expansion has only produced giggling, well dreampetal florist is a totally overlooked card. Floop is a nice bonus for them too.
If they were to nerf Druid, then they'd have to nerf a lot of their cards. Those cards are Rare/Epic. What does that mean:
1) People might get the feeling that the game is badly designed if a lot of cards get nerfed
2) People will receive a lot of free dust which they can use to craft the important legendaries from next expansion. Plus the amount of gold they saved to buy packs and they won't need to pre-order the next expansion, which will be bad for business.
Don't get me wrong, they will probably nerf Druid, but they will do it in time and step by step. See? This is the true balance of HS: knowing the right amount of free stuff to offer without doing to much damage to your income.
I know that's not the circlejerk popular thing to say, but the statistics don't lie. Druid has unfavorable matchups.
Oh, so we like our nerfs based on statistics rather than what's fun or isn't. Keep drinking that koolaid brother. First it was some guy with a Sora avatar talking about how playing Hearthstone should be a shitty experience, otherwise what is the point? Now we have you repeating word for word the crap Blizzard has tried spoon feeding us for years. Numbers don't lie, but neither do players. If something isn't fun, then it's not fucking fun. This is a game first and foremost, not a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet.

Yes. Fun is subjective. Which card or cards specifically are you referring to, and why don't you think they're fun/why should they be nerfed?

Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.
They also forget Ancient of Lore, Force of Nature, Keeper of the Grove - I think it's fair to say that the nerf bat has been taken to every class at this point. Druid is powerful, but not OP - the Aviana change will be good for the meta because it gets at the heart of the combo, making it more difficult to pull off instead of a game of solitaire marching towards a set outcome.
I could go for an armor reduction on branching paths. Like 4 per tick instead of 6. Would still be played, but that 2 to 8 health per game could be a 1% win rate difference.
UI could also be tuned down without killing the card. Remove armor, keep the rest. Same thing, same reasons.
My frustration with Druid isn't the ramp, board swings, or huge card draw. My frustration is that those things can be done without making yourself vulnerable to burst damage.

just changing UI to 4, simple as that.

They nerfed innervation and spreading plague.
People seem to forget about that
The goal of all life is death.

Well, they kinda nerfed token druid by nerfing giggling, right?
4 cost you mean, right?
Imagine 4 mana UI’s
Just imagine

IKR? HUGE nerf to spiteful summoner druid.

Druid is good. Druid is not broken.

Of course... 4 mana, 4 draws, 4 minions 4/4, 4 damage and shield

Even at 6 Spreading is obnoxiously OP and played in almost every archetype so lets not call those two changes a proper nerf.....

Mike Morhaime is a Druid player, so yes they are afraid to mess with that.
