I've played HS since it's beginning, have made into legend and was constantly getting 12 arena wins, and spent about $1000 in it.
And the more I looked at it, the less interesting it got. Instead of new mechanics and crazy depth, we are delivered more of the same...
I love this game, it's fun, I mean, it used to be. But then I found out about GWENT. Now, THAT's a fun game, with lots of different strategies, and basically every 'class' is playable. OH, and there is NO RUSH decks, as the objective of the game is win by points, not by going face.
The point that I'm trying to make is:
Do you still want to play this game knowing that you'll have to spend money or lots of time to know that tomorrow you'll get more of the same?
The point that you are trying to make is so fragile;
I can win without spending any real money and never spent money before.
Also Gwent and Hearthstone are so different games. I am playing both of them and Gwent doesn't have the fun part which Hearthstone has.
Gwent is a kind of a game which is for players who only enjoys winning. Hearthstone is not like that. There are too much memes in Hearthstone and that makes Hearthstone more funny in my opinion.
The Comparison between Elder Scrolls Legend and Hearthstone could correct but The relation between Gwent and Hearthstone and Gwent between Elder Scrolls Legend is so wrong.
Memedeck-seeker. Always tries to build new decks. Hates tournements, streamers, netdecks and poor-o players. ah, but a tournement mode could be great !!!
Yes, i still want to play this. Tried out Faeria, Gwent and Shadowverse, none of them is as fun as Hearthstone (for me ofc). If you have more fun playing Gwent, go ahead, have fun! But why are you going on a Hearthstone fansite and nag about it?
Anyway, I've tried Gwent on PC and XBOX numerous times and I can't get into it. I've played Shadowverse, The Elder Scrolls, Eternal and MtG, but MtG got too expensive. You think HS is expensive O_o
Regardless of what card games I play, I always come back to Hearthstone. I don't see us getting "more of the same". I enjoy the single-player (old) adventures and (new) Dungeon Run as well as ladder (in limited doses, LOL) and Arena (even though I suck at it).
I guess the point I'm trying to make is "different strokes for different folks". I really enjoy Hearthstone, some people may hate it. I'm happy you found Gwent and you are enjoying it. For me though, I'll continue to play Hearhtstone.
OH, and there is NO RUSH decks, as the objective of the game is win by points, not by going face.
This doesn't make much sense since the whole point of rush is that it can not go face...
He meant "Rush enemy HP strategy". Actually Gwent is the game all RNG haters should move to. If it is strategy you want, you can find plenty of it there

With "rush" he means aggro strategy: Full face and do 30 damage before the opponent can react. In Gwent you cannot race your opponent. You can just play all your cards which hurts your later turns.
I still play HS, just stopped spending on it - no need. Only a few decks are viable on the ladder and they only need a handful of cards to craft. It's easy if you even just do tavern brawl for the pack to make decks without spending a dime. Not sure how they plan to make any money with this game, but not really my problem.

Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.
Looks more like someone from gwent came to the hearthstone forums to recruit a few players than a post that actually highlights the weaknesses of the game itself.
If you've played hearthstone for a while maybe you've just exhausted yourself of the fun, if, like you say you've been constantly doing 12 wins and reaching legend. It happens with any game, take a few months off and come back in a few expansions time and the fun-factor should be back.
I hate this "I've gone off the game so there is obviously something wrong with it" complaint.
Yeah. I mean.. dafuck, right? It's not like every new expansion adds something to the game. The Wild card pool only grows and gets more crazy as time wears on. Arena has even started getting its own cards, and even some set support in the expansions explicitly guided toward it. (Some of these new lycanthropy, swap stat-line every turn cards, among others.) And I mean.. shit.. it's really, really not like a whole bunch of things are going to change in the most popular format, Constructed Standard, in a week or two.
I mean, Jades will be gone, Handbuffing goes out the door. A bunch of those techy cards for classes like Fandral Staghelm, Shaku, the Collector, Kazakus are on their way out. Key strategic cards for archetypes like Tempo/Secret Mage go out with Karazhan's departure. I mean, I could go on.. but I'm just exhibiting more of the same. They're just gonna repr-.. oh. They aren't. Witchwood actually feels like a very different set than MSoG, or ONiK and WotOG. Cubelock didn't really become a thing until K&C. And while some archetypes have risen from the dead, others are new, and others are enjoying their last days in the Standard sun before being pushed aside for new blood.
But it's all the same. So, go enjoy Gwent. The rest of us are waiting for the new stuff to come into the Tavern, drinks in hand and eager to play.

1000% agree with this.
Personally played gwent. Its okay i would rather play HS and MTG over it.

Exactly. I left World of WarCraft because I was simply done with it. I knew I was bored with the concepts. True, Cataclysm kinda was supposed to remake the world and failed at that, IMO. But rather than making a big QQ post, I just said bye to my friends and guildies and took off. It doesn't mean the game is wrong or broken. It just means that your interest in it is over.

The point that you are trying to make is so fragile;
I can win without spending any real money and never spent money before.
To me the most problematic is this obsession on winning matches over having fun with the game.
If only the players were rewarded not only by games won, HS would be more fun and we would have more innovative and diverse decks.
You'd seem to not see my whole post. I don't mean i am obsessive to win games. I have tried to say Just you can win without spending real money and i am an example for this. It doesn't mean that i cant enjoy with other contents of game. Also I have defended meme stuff qnd fun things so much time in this site. You can easily see that with checking my decks which are the most of fun decks. I am playing casual moat of the time and playing meme decks in most of my games. I have Just wanted to point that it can be possible to win without real money in this game.
But you re right about rewarding System. Well tbh, there is not so win heavy rewarding, look at the quests which is not about qinning. Play 10 elementals or defeat 5 dungeon bosses etc. You can only get 100 golds if you win 30 games in a Day. Maybe Just the seasonal rewards are so win heavy but hey, shouldn't they reward wins more than loses? Isn't life the same? If you are working hard and they reward the other guy who works less than you, will you be happy?
I don't think hearthstone has some injustice so much. Sometimes it feels like that but i believe that they are trying and the dungeon runs and the quest about dungeons they have added shows that they are trying. Also they keep adding more pve content with newer expansions.
You must leave them to be. Let them trying to make some money because they exists because of that Not only for your Joy.

HS situation is kinda similar to WoW's. Every time I try other similar/"better" game I come back. There is some thing in Blizzard games, that provides so much fun. I wish they made some kind of civ game - Civ 6 is the only game I'm playing atm beside Blizzard games.

we all hate that complaint, because it proves that they don't have any patience to wait, which is sad. And OP, like Megan said, take a few months off and come back if you feel like it's necessary

I don't get it.
If the game has been fun for you in the past and there are constantly new cards added - how can you have the feeling of it being LESS fun?
Maybe it's just me, but I still enjoy this crazy game!
(and payed far less money than you obviously did...)
