Because I accidentally added 15 euro to my B.net account instead of buying the 12€ wow subscription fee for a month. So I had to spent the excess 2 euro somehow, so I bought an Arena game.
That's it and I am playing HS on and off since the release.
But don't think I am smug about it, I don't have the money to spend on a game I play once or twice a week.
But since I am playing WoW on and off for about 7 years, I gave Blizzard enough of my money already, I am not paying them more just so I could buy cards, that I can already craft.
Spent something like 70 bucks and I regret every penny. Wish gwent came out a year earlier. Skill based card game, thats what I want and thats what HS is not. (Legend player, every month, dont tell me I cant play, thanks)
0, because I hate lack of ballance, slow issues fixing and P2W in this game (I mean you theoretically can play it for free, but without top expensive cards your experience will be miserable). I'm not going to support HS by any means unless they will address those problems (yet I still like other Blizzard's games and I can pay for them).
You know those are all lies and you're just being one of the sheep spreading this bullshit because it's fashionable to do so. Did your parents really do this poor of a job raising you? Don't make dumb blanket statements. Grow up and do like every other reasonable person and preface it with "in my opinion" or "I think". Otherwise your just a dishonest shill for the opinions of the vocal minority.
I advise anyone who spent more than 1000$ to recheck their lives.
Just curious .. but what should I be checking?
I haven't spent more than $1000 (yet), but if I continue to play, it's very probable that I will. I generally spend $200-250 per expansion, so another couple xpac's, and Ill be around a grand into it.
$10 or $1000 isn't too much, if it doesn't impact your life in a negative way. I know in some countries, it has been pointed out that a bundle of packs is as much as 1/4 of their monthly income. When that is the case, by all means, please do not spend that money. In other cases, spending $100 a month is pretty cheap compared to other forms of entertainment. The last movie I took my family out to see cost us well over $100. I just took my nephews to a new aquarium in town, and that 4 hour trip cost $214, just for tickets. Add in the souvenirs and pizza after ... that was a $350 day trip.
My point here is, you shouldn't put some arbitrary amount out there, and feel like if someone exceeds that amount, they have some issue in their life that needs to be checked.
I think it's silly that people spend that much money on games, period. More so when you do it for golden pixels in a card game(which seems to be the reason why most people do spend close to that amount on hearthstone).
But by all means, it's your money, do whatever you want with it.
I hate see people spend money they don't have on games. I saw some really, REALLY terrible things happen when I was playing Mobile Strike. I mean suicides, divorces, bankruptcy .... the list goes on. It was heartbreaking what that game did to a lot of people.
For me, games are just entertainment. I don't like to go to bars anymore, but when I did, $500 bar tabs were not uncommon. My house is paid off, I have more cars than any human should probably ever own, even though I can only drive one at a time. Both kids college is paid for .... "wasting" money on games isn't going to hurt me. Now, the stupid amount I spent on Mobile Strike is a different story. Doesn't matter if you are Bill Gates ... spending $100k on a game ... not that is crazy. (Actually, it was addiction, but that's a different story)
Wait people where dumb enough to dump that much on mobile strike, wtf.

Legend player every month, yet claims to hate Hearthstone.
Why are you even on this website?

I've spent over $250 on this game so far, and will probably continue to buy the pre-releases. I don't like grinding, I want to play what I want for exactly the amount of games I want to play and then put the game away and do something else.
Eventually my hearthstone budget will go to another game though, as the value just isn't there. I expect Monster Hunter World will probably take that up.

Look at this thing and let me know what you think!
About 2500 $ from 2015 til now, so average 800$ per year. I think just not too bad, I like the game and loving the feeling of openning packs, even more than play the game itself lolz
Been playing since October of 2016 since then I've only bought Welcome bundle, Mammoth bundle, and Naxx (after rotation). So thats around $50 everything else was bought with HS shekels.
What I don't get from packs I usually have enough dust to craft what I want. Its a myth that this game forces you to throw money at it to amass a decent collection from each expansion.

That's still nowhere near as bad as people paying 10k+ on mu online(a fucking 2003 game with around 2000 players remaining) items.
But just because dumber people exist somwhere in the world, doesn't suddenly make it a smart decision to spend 1k on Hearthstone.
This game is P2W.
Pay or go home.

If I could give y'all a tip: don't ever spend real money in this game cause it really isn't worth it.
VERY PROUD F2P player here.
