Lost about 6 games in a row, but how on earth can you get past that? I know I'm try harding, but it's still annoying to have a goal to go up a rank in a day, but go down instead.
If you don't want to lose 6 in a row, take a break after your 5th loss. :-)
Sorry to be flippant.. but seriously, the one guaranteed way to break a streak is to stop playing. Go read some forums, play another game, watch some TV.
One thing I found that helps me keep calm on a losing streak is setting up an account on Hearthstats because it means after every game, I alt-tab out and log the result, and I also try to make a habit of writing a note about the game. Keeps me fresher than just instantly hammering that "Play" button again.

If you're encountering particular types of decks, then switch what deck you're playing. If you're being hard countered, then switch to the hard counter for the type of deck that you're seeing.

I use to think like that but then I would run into a string of decks that countered my counter to another deck. Its really frustrating to say the least. For me, the best thing is to get up pace a little shake it off listen to some music watch a little tv make a sandwich talk with some friends then go back to it. Take a pause, stretch your legs something to break up the cycle. Getting tilted is so easy in this game and frustrating in many cases cause you know whats going to happen and there is little you can do to prevent it. RNG will always be god in this game.
Another thing I suggest everyone does is record your matches then in your down time rewatch them take notes. See what worked see what didnt, Begin to look over it all and then re-evaluate your deck design and see if there are any tweaks you can do. Case in point; Many play with argent squire. This can be a great boon for you to counter play with a Blood Knight. Another thing I can not stress enough is never play off gut reaction. Know your enemy then evaluate your plays if you play this spell will they then have an advantage later on. And example of this is the car Hex and when to play it.
Best way is not to switch decks, instead simply stop for a while. Loses happen at times, even loses in a row, but in bigger strings generally your mindset plays a big role. To get it "right" again you need to calm down and relax and play your game. This you reach best with taking a break.
@PoeticStanziel - Whats a good counter for zoo generally? Obviously at lower ranks it's quite a popular deck.
There's no hard counter to Zoo. You just have to hope for early board clear and lots of taunts to slow down their game, until you can break out the big boys. Survive as best you can until turn 7 then break out the Baron Geddon.
Earlier this week I was running a mid-range pally trying to clear out some dailies and hit a massive losing streak across several days. Dropped 5 ranks before that daily was done. After that I retired the deck for now.
If you run into a long term losing streak (not a single session losing streak, but one that spans a couple of sessions) then you know your deck is wrong for the meta at your rankings and you need to switch. Otherwise, the above advice is excellent for getting your head straight and turning things around.
Another words, don't switch out your deck unless it's truly being hard-countered at your current rank. The only way to know this is if you're consistently losing across several play sessions. Otherwise, just take a break after 2 or 3 losses and try again.
Oh, and playing some casual and scalping some wins can really help counter the tilt.
I am almost back to the rank I was at originally, so hopefully it was just a one of, although I think my main problem was just not taking a break after a loss. Thanks for the advice guys :)

I just stop playing when i'm on a losing streak, normally after 3-5 losses I will stop playing. After a losing streak you might be tired/frustrated and may make more misplays. Just stopping and taking a break should help you, well at least it works for me.
Don't simply look up a popular deck and expect it to play itself, watch and learn from the top players. Try watching a stream, and try guess the correct moves to make before they do, see how your play style would match up. Like someone said, stop after 5 losses! Take a break, go for a walk, come back later and assess your decks. What cards let you down? are you losing in a similar fashion each time? concentrate on your weaknesses.
I am doing my research, and sometimes it's me just not counting properly. Just lost to a miracle rogue because I didn't realise I could enrage my grommash. Fml

If you're going to play cards competitively:
Even while playing optimized decks, you have to accept that variance is going to get you sometimes and/or you're going to encounter bad match ups..
If you're not playing an optimized deck, get to tweeking!
If you don't want to lose 6 in a row, take a break after your 5th loss. :-)

As hard as it is, you just have to accept it and try again tomorrow. Think of it this way: it's just a game. Good luck.

Edit - I decided that maybe my deck wasn't really good with the current meta so going from this deck http://hearthstats.net/decks/halkal-control?locale=en to this http://hearthstats.net/decks/halkal-shammy?locale=en
