I was wondering how many packs pro players were buying for each extension to get all legendaries like they do ?
I know :
you get 1 legendary every (max) 40 pack
there are 23 legendaries per extension
without using amazon coins, the cheapest packs are 60 packs for 70 €
so this would mean around ((40 * 23) / 60) * 70 = 1073 €. Let's say from time to time they don't have to wait for 40 packs, because it's a max, not a mean, they still have to spend between 500 € and 1000 € per extension to get all cards.

Do you agree with this calculus ?
There is no point on acquiring all cards of an expansion. Most Legendaries are mediocre any way, you are more than good with 100-150 packs in most cases.
My experience its like; if its 23 ,1 free legendary first 10 packs of the set so lets think its 22. 40 packs per legendary is guaranteed but you may be lucky to get 2 or 3 ,average 2 per 40 packs. And dust after first 40 packs youre like to craft 1 for 60 packs.
except first 40 you get 2,5 legends per 40 my calculation is 9*40 packs
if you do quests and never spend gold you are going to have like 80 packs.
its like 7*40 packs get all legendaries i think also i am not sure that you will get all epics
They play so much that they make around 150 gold daily, plus Arena. They actually have so much leftover dust that crafting new stuff doesn't mean a thing. Plus, they tend to have full gold decks ;)
Another thing - they make money playing the game, so they can spend it. Also I woulnd't be surprised if their sponsors gave them money just to do open packs on exp launch.

You didn't count the dust you get from packs, with that they can craft some missing legendaries
