Deck building is a completely different skill to piloting a deck, and a rarer one. I build my own decks, some good some bad and I ladder with them best I can. It's always enough to take me to rank 5, tweaking as I go. It gets boring playing the same copy-pasted decks when it's hardly required right now - you should be able to build a ladder worthy deck yourself! - it's easier than it has been in a looooong time right now with this unstable meta.

It's not a rarer one, it's a more competitive one. Being top 30% playskill means a higher rank, being top 30% deck building skill is no different than bottom 30%, only those absolute best people are going to find and create new decks. Except if your collection is limited of course then it matters, which then makes it clear where deck building shines Arena. If you are a great deck builder you should be cleaning house in Arena because well constructed is a test of play skill not deck building skill.
You people need to understand that it is not possible to not plagiarize in this game to an unknown extent, because what works and what not is already there for you to find whether you check a list or not. You will eventually run into it on ladder. The original ideas you have do not make a whole deck, and even if they make a good part of the deck as in the case of when Grim Patron Warrior first appeared, it is the pro HS community that will refine it and make it a tier 1 deck. A good deck is not a one man's job, and you don't even have a good claim on your own decks because the ideas are out there already even if you don't remember seeing them. You are not completely self-aware. Maybe you have a legit claim on one idea or another but you do not have a legit claim on a whole deck and never will. That's a very silly and intellectualy immature thought.
Having said that, netdeckers are not good players.
I've yet to see another player using a midrange Zoolock list with Ancient harbinger, C'thun and nerfed Knife juggler. Am I immature thinking my deck is original ? No I think you will be immature replying this is just a netdeck zoo with some changes.
And it definitely is a one man's job refining this deck, because it runs cards people consider trash especially in an aggro list (Ancient harbinger) and it's a weird deck that people would consider trash as well without trying it. So on top of being original, this deck will keep this original state forever.
Is it a Tier 1 deck ? Most likely not, regular Zoo is better against aggro, my Zoo is better against control, and aggro rules the meta as always. Is it capable of beating Tier 1-2 decks and getting you to legend ? Yep, it's happening right now.
PS : I'm not entirely sure I understood your post (not native english), sorry if i'm completely off topic.
Two questions strike me:
1. Did you invent zoo? So its not completely original.
2. Have you proven your concept? Not that I see.
If you're not claiming your deck is completely original you're not disagreeing with my post.
Well, basically, you can't have an original deck, because devs invented the cards anyway, not you, is that is ? That's non-sense.
A completely original deck, in you mind, is a deck that runs 30 cards that no one else has ever played ?
Then the first player who ever played a Zoo list on Beta Hearthstone, wasn't "completely original" as well because "aggro warlock" already existed, so what ? That isn't what original means.
Also there is absolutely nothing to "prove", i'm not a popular streamer, I could go #1 legend with this deck, there would still be no proof that it works as long a I don't record 100% of my games from rank 20 to #1 Legend.
I am claiming my deck is completely original ;)
You just need 1 card to make a known deck original.
Think of any deck that comes to your mind. Add Sir Finley Mrrgglton to this deck. Surprise, the deck is completely different. Does it work and is it played by anyone else ? If the answers are Yes and No, good job, you made an original deck.
So you actually plagiarize the ideas which already work, add some of your ideas that might or not improve the deck and then claim the whole concept as your own. After this post I cannot trust a word you say so I wont bother discussing the matter anymore.
Nope. That's not how it works. We're discussing DECKS here. 30 cards that work together.
Just because another different DECK has some of the same CARDS doesn't mean it's plagiarizing ideas this is ridiculous. That would mean literraly 100% of the community plagiarize on each other, how stupid is that. Fine, don't bother discussing further, that means I'm right ;)
Oh wait you priest deck on your signature, how DARE you plagiarize my idea of adding Ancient harbinger into a deck !!!! You stole my idea, SHAME, SHAME, SHAME.
What are you a little girl? You win an argument because I give up on you?
Yes I mean the whole community plagiarizes. Is it that hard for you to deal with this fact? You need to get out more, there are far worse things out there that you need to deal with.
40 Million people play a game that has a card pool of less than 1,500 cards. Anyone who thinks their deck is original is an idiot.
Thank you! Finally someone with some common sense.
Moreover, throughout hearthstones history, all magic players have already adapted their deck building skills to find "archetypes" that work. All they did was find the cards that complimented each other well to fit that theme. At the start of the WoTG expansion I built a control warrior that I thought was original. Never posted it online and went 15-2 with the deck. Was it original? Hell no? Did I have some sort of take on an old classic? Yes.
The point I am trying to hint is: LETS NOT WORRY ABOUT WHO INVENTED WHAT. I get that people want to be recognized for their work and innovations and sometimes I build decks that I think are really good but need the right person to navigate them to see their potential and I never get a pat in the back. Or what happens a lot to people is that a deck idea is built but no one has the cards to build it and then someone else builds the deck and gets the glory they wanted. Why can't we just have fun and enjoy the game?

FYI I'm too lazy to browse through his history but this is seriously like the 10th time at least I've come across someone giving up discussing with tictactucroc or straight away adding him to the ignore list. Just do like most usual posters here, skip: saves you a lot of time.
Thanks for the advice, I believe this will improve my forum experience. lol

I do, I'm a far better arena than constructed player.
OP, you could tune your ego down a bit, we all notice their misplays from time to time, but I dont think ive ever seen you win a tournament. Browsing decks and netdecking are very different things. I never copy decks, but I browse those from other players to check for cards I couldve missed, like doomsayer in control paladin. Deckbuilding defines your skill as much as playing, so please stop proclaiming yourself to be a hearthstone god
