It's actually not too bad. It takes 2 cards, costs 8 mana, and the minion in question has to be 3 or 4 power. Of course, when it works, it's fucking insane, but most the time, you wanna be playing these cards on curve to keep the tempo, so the combo isn't gonna be happening too often. I say this as someone who has used the combo and has been on the receiving end of it.

The think that makes this combo the most annoying is the most common 3 and 4 power minions are piloted shredder and sludge belcher both of whom have deathrattles that cause their stats to be gimped a bit for their mana cost. Stealing a 2-3 mana cost creature wouldn't be that devastating but when this combo is used to steal a 4 or 5 mana cost creature in addition to providing two solid bodies is just too much. As for playing on curve, Priest has so many board clear and stall mechanics that it can almost always afford to hold these cards in hand in order to utilize them together. So many things about this combo are just plain stupid.
The best is seeing a double Shrink steal something like KT or Sylvanas. 10 Mana combo and so worth it.
Well... did you knew about existence of Mind Control ? It does the same thing, for 2 cards less. Of course, you won't get the 10/9 stats + the minion stolen... but it is more likely to happen.
On a other hand, Shrinkmeister + Cabal Shadow Priest is a fair combo to answer this thread. Yes, it brings tremendous value. But it can't happen before turn 8. It is exactly what Priest needed, Shrinkmeister fit the Priest theme so well.

No it's not a broken combo. It's a fine combo, given the fact that it cost 8 mana, it's situational and you need to have those two specific cards in hand at the time. It's the same thing as Muster for Battle + Quartermaster on turn 8, it brings value when you have the proper cards.

Many of the recent popular decks seem to be running one shrink or none at all. It's cute and occasionally devastating but not even close to being as game breaking as many people figured (including myself).
Yeah, it's fun, but priest is just much more consistent with only one shrinkmeister at most. To the OP, did you ever actually play priest? It's currently very combo reliant and generally tends to struggle because all it's cards are just so awfully specific. It's not a good idea to add yet ANOTHER combo that requires 8 mana and a 4 attack minion on the opponents board.
It's not broken just because you need more than 1 card to make it work. Had it been only one card, yes this would need a nerf. As of now, lol who plays priest that often?
Last priest opponent I played against did a thoughtsteal and got an innervate. Innervate shrink cabal combo on my sludge belcher turn six. So for six mana he got a belcher, removed my belcher, and got a 3/2 and a 4/5. I'm sure it is a rare occurrence but there are few things as powerful as a play like that. Whenever something is stolen it basically counts as a free minion and a free hard removal all in one. I don't think it is broken, my only gripe is cabal combined with thoughtsteal combined with shadow madness recombobulator combos offer so many different opportunities for a huge tempo swing. It's not like you can play around that many possibilities.

No, you can't play around it, but he needed a lto of cards to make this combo works. Thoughsteal first, is enough for me. Thoughsteal brings your cards into the OP deck... enough said.
