I've only played one game with him so far, but I won and the deck was certainly interesting. I look forward to playing with him a lot more once I get to legend. My only gripe is that it doesn't replace your hero with Whizbang with his own emotes and stuff. That would have been epic.
I think they made it so the opponent doesn't know that you're playing Whizbang and consequently your whole deck xD
The thing is, if you have Hearthstone Deck Tracker, you can instantly see if your opponent is playing Whizbang, every card your opponent plays is marked with a "present" icon which usually shows which cards are from Discover effects etc.
For real? Is this a thing?
They should fix it, this is not supposed to happen.
I got the Witchwood Shaman. It was terrible. I was up against an Odd warrior.
Yet somehow, against all odds I won, and my opponent rage quit at the end lol. I just kept surviving. Got however many hexes from Hagatha, got a Ysera after killing his with Frostmourne. A few Lich Kings (thanks to Eureka). It was a painful long grind, but man was it funny when I won haha.

Crafted Golden Whiz and have no regrets. Not ever. Don't care how meme he is or how casual the deck recipes are, the fact that I can just try out new things for nearly 2 years and all upcoming expansions in between, it's crazy good value. It's really great to share it with friends who either haven't opened the card or haven't got it in gold, and let them take gold decks for a spin. Plus all golden heroes and cards makes a pleb like me feel like I'm starring in a HGG match lol best card.

Yeah I noticed this today, I played Ranked and a few people I encountered had the Shaman evolve deck and the Druid one with Astral something-something (forgot the name of the card), all the cards have been marked as "discovered" as soon as they are played so it's pretty easy to figure out it's a recipe deck.

They would of been half the fun though. I think they missed something by not having a animation at the start or something to let them know you are playing him

Yeah I expected an animation at the start of the game and I don't really mind letting the opponent know my deck.
On the other hand if a player would like to rank a bit more seriously with Whizbang it would be a problem letting the opponent know your cards from the start of the game.
I think it's fine as it is, all I really enjoy in the end is playing the deck, not letting the enemy know my memes xD
This card is one of the best in this Expansion no joke. If you're a new player you should dust all bad cards and push dust to craft this. 27 (?!) Decks in One and all are not that bad i think some people should make a challenge and grind this card to legend :D
It's 18 decks, only the last two recipes are available for each class

Spoting Whizbang is a disadvantage
You know that he has Whizbang when he plays a golden Coin...

Did you happen to play the "frozen recipe" last year brawl? I did.. it was terrible to get freeze shaman.. I saw the decks there are a few "freeze shaman" there decks that just can't win cause they are so bad..
I hate feeling hopeless that's why I don't like this card too much :/
I kinda wish there was an animation at the very end lol. It would be quite tilting to realize that you for sure lost to a Whizbang. Or funny to realize you beat an opponent actually trying to use Whizbang.
I do enjoy him though. If I make legend again, and again fall down to legend hell lol (facing the likes of rank 5-7 nonstop), I'll probably switch to my gold Whizbang full time.

It's my favorite card ever printed already. They need to move this to the classic set after it rotates though. This card should never rotate out.
That would be a bit silly. After a couple of years it's still giving only wild card decks in standard and no cards from newest expansion, and they certainly wouldn't update an old card like this so it always uses cards from current standard pool of cards.
I made a whizbang deck using a druid base, is it a coincidence that i played as a druid deck 4 times in a row now? I thought its random 18 decks? Or can i force which class am i getting?
I crafted a golden copy of Wizbang and I've played more HS in the last two days with it than I have played at all since the Yogg Nerf.
I have the collection to build "better" decks but I really enjoy the random nature of not knowing what you will be playing as and the fact it forces you to learn and be able to play a lot of different styles. Even though most people seem to regard this as a newbie card, this CCG veteran is really enjoying it.

It's random. I also keep getting the aggro druid deck, which is fine because it is decent.
There are a few recipes that seem pretty terrible though: mech paladin, spell shaman, and burgle rogue have performed particularly badly for me so far.
My new understanding of Whizbang: Blizzard made insane legendary, which will lead to people crafting it. Then they add some decks of varying quality intentionally, some good, some straight up bad. Then they promote those decks when you win, so that you spend more dust(money) on HS. It's brilliant idea from their side!
the recipes were always bad … nothing has changed so your theory is WRONG

Yeah I think that the card is good and refreshing for newbies but also for veterans. I'm enjoying every game to the fullest :)
Actually Mech Paladin and Burgle Rogue are not that bad. Even if, with the second deck, meeting another rogue sucks sometimes xD
Spell Shaman lacks a solid win condition, I think that finding Hagatha early is crucial to keep the pressure and constantly generating more value.
No, it's part of an expansion that will be Wild in two years. From that moment you will only be able to play it in Wild (unless Blizzard make an announcement on the subject).
The effect is that your Deck/Hero is randomly selected each time you play, from a pool of 18 Decks. Will the pool change as the Recipe change in Standard? I would guess so but i don't know. But I bet that once it goes Wild, the pool of decks will remain the same forever. :)

I agree. The recipes it generates should rotate however.
It's shit for now; I keep getting tree Druid.

I crafted him in gold before I open my 30 packs.
I enjoy playing him and get to know the new cards before considering new crafts (I'm F2P).
I'm LVL 60 in all class so I don't know about XP gain, but, rank wins counts to the specific random hero deck played.
F2P since November 2015.
