It is quite expensive indeed, cost clunkiness reminds me of Thistle Tea. It can be played twice with Valeera, which is nice, and prep is pretty mych obligatory if you want to combo it with some high cost minions.
Anyway, some good targets are:
With Prep:
Deranged Doctor Sneed's Old Shredder Aya Cairne Piloted Sky Golem Sylvanas
Triggering a death rattle twice might only seem like 2x more power than a play dead but it's in one card and in a different class. It's a lot more powerful than just 2x play dead since you can cast it twice for 4x death rattle, and with DK you can get an insane amount of value from this card. I think it is being under rated greatly by the majority. It is still very high cost and on the weaker end, but not garbage like people seem to think. This can be tempo'd with prep for ridiculous board push in the mid game and rogue can dominate the early game with already cheap board control spells available. So a death rattle/egg like deck seems to be very viable here but maybe not tier 1.
Whats the piont...? You can have 2 of these equal 4 play dead and also one this card only take one deck slot not 2...its very important...
Fireball 4 mana 6 dmg + one more fireball = 8 mana 12 dmg still have 3 mana for 3 dmg which is equal to 10 mana 15 dmg (3 cards)... Pyroblast 10 mana 10 dmg one card....
It's the cost of 5 Play Dead for only 2 copies of the effect. I know its like your drawing another Play Dead from your deck and then casting it on the minion but 5 mana is way too much for this card, hell I'd even bargain 4 mana is too much too. One of the worst cards this set, dust it, just dust it.
I think we all agree the cost of this card is stupid and will not see play.
While it certainly looks (very) steep compared to Play Dead I don't know that that would prevent it from seeing play even without Prep around. There are plenty of deathrattles that are unlikely to be triggered by your opponent and triggering them twice, while still keeping the minion alive to then die and trigger it a third time, that would easily be worth 5 more than mana.
And this is coming from someone who dearly wants Prep to be put into the hall of fame to allow for better pricing on rogue spells.
Can't judge this card as non-Rogue player, but if we see more good deathrattle minion like Blightnozzle Crawler, then I can ensure this card will see very few plays,. At least I'll be the first one to try.
This card is a non-combo card since it's too high cost, and I like it. More cards should be printed this way to avoid combo power.

The new weapon is 20 times better, I would rather play the minion that return a destroyed weapon to get a third or fourth weapon than this card. The only minion worthy to pay this much on would be a cube hitting a really big minion. This will be a dead card most of the time.
Ok, so play a Razorpetal Volley at some point before turn 9. On turn 9 play out a Kobold Illusionist > Preparation > Necrium Vial (with Malygos in hand) > Razorpetal > Razorpetal > Shiv for 33 Damage. OR you could Backstab your own Kobold Illusionist and just Razorpetal twice for 32 damage. There are a few other iteration as well. Like Kobold > Prep > Nercium Vial > prep > Necrium Vial > razorpetal > razorpetal. Obviously that is less efficient. There are other things like shadowstepping a Kobold earlier to make the combo cheaper, buuuut then you'd have to play Shadow Step in a very minion light deck in the first place. Not to mention you'll stuggle to get all the pieces by then anyway.
It's a Six card combo. The real problem, getting malygos in your hand.
There is an even "quicker" combo though not using this card and instead using Necrium Blade. Have Maly in hand, again Razorpetal volley on 2. On three Equip Necrium blade and attack. On four play kobold illusionist, then attack with the Blade again. Backstab your own Kobold. Then coin and/or prep out two Razor Petals. That is a turn a turn four 25 damage combo. If you include the three from the prior attack that is 28.
It's also a god draw that will only happen on trollden lol.
They need to consider putting [card]Preparation [/card] into the HoF. This card should cost 2 but with Preparation, it would of been 0 so that to consider that cost to make it overcosted again (like WANTED). However, I will admit that if this was 2 cost, this would be really powerful. I put it down as playable.
Most funny thing is, that it wouldn't even work once! Because Mecha'thun won't get destroyed by this card so you still have a minion on board and the requirements are not met XD

Maybe someday Preparation will get nerfed or rotated and Rogue will be allowed to have good spells, but today isn't that day apparently.

Kobold Illusionist
Piloted Shredder
Jade Swarmer
The rest is quite meh, so obviously, this is a value card for Jade/Deathrattle decks. Are they going to be viable? We'll see.

5 mana? rofl. Into the garbage bin it goes.
Release the Kraken!

I like elementals and totems.
Flavor text of Red Mana Wyrm:
It has double the Attack. "Go on." And double the Health. "Yes??" And its trigger has twice the effect. "WHAT???" And it costs… Five times more.

Leeroy Jenkins + Carnivorous Cube + Necrium Vial maybe?
Can not wait for Dane to get HOLD of this card along with the rest of this expansion!!
I enjoy.
With two coins and a prep that could all be done on the same turn lol.
They say there are such cards as Shadowstep and Preparation.
we clearly see the design limitations of prep in this card's mana cost.
Wow, rogue sure has a lot of Deathrattle synergy cards.
Now if only they had deathrattle minions worth building around.
