In the world of busted cards, this one ranks right up there ... especially when combined with resurrect effects. IMHO, it just has too much going for it. It is 4 attack, so it is immune to most priest removal. It has lifesteal. It has taunt. And, it takes a random minion with it when it dies. It seems to me like one of these should be removed ... and if I had a choice, it would be the random minion removal.

Obsidian Statue is not broken. Once Barnes and Y'Shaarj rotates it will be a pretty fair card. How many times have you seen it played outside of big priest? Probably not a lot. Big priest is about to lose some of its most broken combos, so after that happens this card will likely seem a whole lot more fair.
Obsidian Statue as a 9 mana card is not broken. Just like Voidlord, it is when cheated out/resurrected way before T9 that it is annoying, but in this case blame Barnes/Shadow Essence/Eternal Servitude.
How exactly is it OP? It's a class card minion at nine mana (terrible mana spot imo) that is only powerful in one-two priest archetypes, but not powerful enough to burst you down from 20-0 health. Not powerful enough to see play in every single priest deck and pretty easy to counter. Tbh it's fine as is. Sure it's annoying but annoying =/= op.
It's a 9 mana card (and 9 mana is the pits of hell since you can't do anything with 1 mana, so in most cases it's a 10 mana card but worse). The power level of it is exactly where it should be. It's also almost entirely defensive, so not a huge threat by itself.
If you want to nerf an OP priest card, look at Drakonid Operative. How that was even printed, is beyond me.

No, the card is very good but imho nowhere near ''broken''. Barnes is rotating out as well. For 9 mana, the card is absolutely reasonable.

What need to be nerfed to hell is all cards like Barnes and warlock weapon giving you 9 manas value for much less, they are the problem have to be immediately fixed.

Again .. what I believe make it OP is spelled out in the original post. At 4 attack, its immune to priest removal. Lifesteal. Taunt. And, hard removal of a minion.
Compare to Voidlord, a card that literally has affected a large percentage of the game by making silence effects nearly "must have".
3/9 stats, but the 3 attack makes it a target for priest spells, but same overall stats. Taunt ... both minions. But Void Daddy only has one more trick up his sleeve ... summon 3 more 1/3's. Statue has 2 tricks ... Lifesteal, and the hard removal.
Yes, it is supposed to be a power card, as most 9 drops are. But, IMHO, it is overpowered, especially when compared to it's closest relative, Voidlord. And much like Voidlord, it's power is just multiplied by res effects. Dealing with 1 or 2 or either of them is not so bad .. but when they just keep coming back again and again, they become impossible to deal with.

The card by itself is not a problem at All. Barnes Priester by itself is Just a busted deck. When they have Barnes at turn 4 It,s as good as over. Strong cards should exist offcorse,but a deck that can beat u with 1 or 2 cards used should,nt exist.

I would agree with that. Cheating these cards out early, combined with multiple resurrect effects can make an otherwise strong, but manageable card into a lesson in futility.

Dust does not burn a hole in the jar. Be careful what you craft, especially before and right after a rotation.
