Before the release of KaC, Kingsbane was all the talk about being top tier, but I really haven't seen much of it since release. And when I have played against a Rogue with the weapon, it has so far seemed pretty underwhelming.
It hasn't been that long since release, so maybe a solid deck featuring the weapon hasn't come along yet? Or am I an outlier in that my interactions with the card are underwhelming? What are other's experiences in playing against the card?
I don't have the card myself, but those who do, what has been your experience so far with the card? Is there success that I am not seeing?
Well Kingsbane is a great card but it will most likely see play in decks with a very high skill ceiling therefore the majority of the playerbase is not to be expected to do too well with this new version of oil.

Take a trip to Wild, were Rogues can use Tinkers Sharpsword Oil. I'm having fun with my 11/3 Lifesteal Kingsbane...
Good point, I hadn't thought about how the card was doing in Wild since I only really play Standard myself. i can definitely see how it would be crazy there
It's not as gamebreaking as everybody thought but it's still a great card, one of the best legendary weapons for sure. But in rogue so far the best new card they got is Fal'dorei Strider.
Its a verry good card only problem is, that Tempokeleseth Rogue is still better than the miracle version. Wait till retarded patches rotate out or is getting nerfed and youll see kingsbane for sure until than you wont see it as much as basically any deck that doesnt run patches.

The poll was basically just supposed to be tl;dr of what people's thoughts were, but I accept the criticism. I agree with you in regards to Fal'dorei Strider as I have seen much more of that card with greater success
I didn't think most thought it would be OP at all. Actually most thought it was crap until Cavern Shinyfinder was shown. Even then most people seem to say it went from bad to very good.
Fal'dorei Strider is really good. But I am still disappointed a bit with it. You don't build your deck around it, which was my hope. It's card that fits well into many rogue decks and works quite well in them, but it's less "main star" and more fantastic support. In reality the card is probably better than I thought but not in the way I was hoping.
The meta-game won't settle for weeks, so it's premature to really make any pronouncements on whether the card will make an impact. It seems safe to say that Kingsbane doesn't really fit into current iterations of Tempo Rogue - if that particular deck remains among the best in the meta by the end of the month, then the new weapon might simply be squeezed out of the meta for the foreseeable future.
As far as predicting the foreseeable future . . . I suspect that the card is fairly weak. It's a singleton, and often won't be drawn early enough to ever make much of a difference - when you don't pull the card or its tutors until the mid-game it will often simply be a dead draw. Similarly when you draw Kingsbane early, but whiff on your weapon buffs. Given that it's a pretty heavy "build around" card, I'm not sure how viable it might be in Standard during K&C, as all the available weapon buffs haven't really ever been good enough to see consistent play, apart from Deadly Poison.
I agree, I don't think I saw too many people calling it OP or broken.
The meta needs to settle a bit. Too much aggro/tempo. That's classically a very bad time for Miracle Rogue (which is the shell where it appears Kingsbane fits best...for now).
It's a totally new decktype. It will take some time to be refined.
If you make a deathrattle deck it will synergize with Roll the Bones and Southsea Squidface. It becomes much easier to tutor out and buff as the deathrattles even without the weapon are still 4/4's, which is playable, and can be played and taken advantage of via N'zoth if you miss your first chance.

True, I didn't see it really being called OP, but compared to the other weapons released, there seemed to be a lot of buzz around the card especially once Cavern Shinyfinder was revealed. I also agree with others saying that the meta hasn't settled yet and that it won't for a few weeks. I was just curious with what other people's early impressions were.

My early impressions are that it's strong, but perhaps with what is available not strong enough to survive in this meta without more support. So keep your eye on it, cause rotation will shake things up quite a bit.

It does seem to be getting outshined by other decks currently, at least in standard. But I'm interested and hoping to see more of it in the future. I am really looking forward to the end of this rotation, it will finally give some other decks a chance
I thought Kingsbane would be a really good card, but it's even more ridiculous than I thought it would be, primarily because that 3/1 weapon tutor kobold was released much later.
The fact that this works with Doomarange makes it better then people first assumed even if its not alone able to break and shape a new Rogue Meta. This card works well and with the right buffs and the power to draw it on command makes it solid. Being able to stack up the buffs bring it down to 1 use and then Doomarange a minion off the board heal up and the re-equip it fully buffed is not to be underestimated or is the power to deny fatigue with it threw using it and your weapon power each turn.
This is actually pretty reflective of my thoughts on the card. It seems like it can be alright, but I think the the current decks that are being made and experimented with will not allow this deck to work consistently.
Well, considering the only weapon buffs Kripp is using in that video are Deadly Poison and Leeching Poison, it's not surprising he doesn't think it's as strong as it actually is.

All I can say is that in Wild this card is insane.
Way too few options in the poll.

I'm enjoying 17/3 Lifesteal weapons. Been using Southsea Squidface + Carnivorous Cube + Sonya Shadowdancer to ramp attack like a beast. Got my deck in the signature if you want to take a look.
Look at this thing and let me know what you think!
It is very good and very versatile. I use it in my pirate weapon buff midrange deck and in a mill deck too with great success!
12 wins in ArenA with: Mage and Paladin, first time legend with Rogue
