This card looks very good to me. Not only does it just have better stats than vanilla minions, it has a potentially transformative effect if you have a board presence that looks threatened by chip damage and you want to keep it. The alternative is using this as some strange way to set up a combo deck... You'd need some low cost combo pieces for sure, but this seems pretty good. It could potentially make a 4-cost into a 1-cost, which might end up being equivalent to 3 ticks of Thaurissan in some cases. We've yet to see the total usefulness of this, but with the shaman spellstone it might set up a good 2-turn + Spirit Echo long-value on your board.
If it hits 2 or 3 good battlecry minions, then it's probably strong enough to stay. If it can though is a different question that can only be answered through playing it on ladder.
I think it's a good safeguard for extra evolve value.
You evolved into a card with a powerful battlecry but low stats? Put it back in hand.
You evolved into a minion with charge? Back in hand as well. (extra bonus, you atk with the minion, evolve it and it gets charge, attack again, put it back to your hand and attack again).
Exodia mage looks better and better with so many good lategame cards.
If don't release any good tech vs combo decks they will rule the meta.
man this is a shamman card.
I know.
But if everyone start playing with Highlander Dragon Priest, Jade Druid, Elemental shaman, Deathrattle Control Hunter, Big Spells Mage, etc... Exodia mage will rule the meta.
I like it. Shaman is the only class I've got left under 400 ladder wins (92 actually). Seems to be enough to start messing around with Shaman again. Some creative control plays.

Exodia mage will never rule the meta. There is only 2 combo decks that ruled the meta ( Patron warrior and highlander priest) and if you look this decks, you can see a very important difference. Minion quality, yes mage can spawn board clears allright, but when a hunter druid shaman or even a dragon priest gets a tempo it's over for them. Warrior and priest can handle the tempo bceause of their heropowers

Im imagining some version of this where you can get a chain going with two of these like deadmans hand
i love value decks, and this is soooo much value.
Here's my initial theorycraft assuming the desire to not auto lose to aggressive decks.
Wow! So many good Battlecry effects with this. And would you look at the body on this guy?! He's a beauty!
Mmm
Looks good
Nice in Wild too with all that deathrattle and reno
Nightblade Argent Lance Flame Imp
Argent Watchman Argent Squire Frost Giant
Aviana Hogger Snipe Sea Giant
This is a good card. If Shamans have a board though, then they would rather play Bloodlust, Evolve or Thrall, Deathseer.

That'll do, Huffer. That'll do.
Rumbling Elemental combo is FInally Possible, !

Elemental Shaman got a new plaything. Servant of Kalimos, Tol'vir Stonecutter, Kalimos, Blazecaller... the possibilities are endless.
And this is meant to be a combo piece with Elemental Shaman. The Elemental type is there for a reason.
One of those cards that will always be on the cusp of feeling like it could work, but never does outside of meme videos.
Defidently my new favorite card released so far. :D
This space is intentionally blank.
Another noobtrap card, which will never work.
Release the Kraken!
