Hi all, so I see that tempo rogue is the most prominent deck in the current meta and I feel like at least giving it a try. I quite like the idea of having all my minions buffed throughout the game. But I'm aware of the possibility of not drawing keleseth. So tempo rogue players, considering all the games you have played, how likely is it that you managed to play keleseth when it still matters in the game( in mulligan or early turns)? As in, how many games were finished without it even being played? I wanna know before crafting.
I played 60 games with Kele'Seth Rogue and only had him four times on turn 2, two times along with shadow step.
My win rate is still at around 60-65% and half of these games were played at rank 4-3 last season, so you don't really need him to win, but it will skyrocket your win rate if you manage to have him on turn 2 (or 1 with coin) and even more with shadow step.
I would consider crafting him if you want to play Kele'Seth Rogue at least this whole month, because who knows what counter decks are lurking in the unexplored darkness. Play it as long as it is top tier.
On a side note, anyone else drawing him really NEVER this season? Over 20 games played with this deck this month and I NEVER had him on turn 2, additionally I'm not even seeing him, even when the game goes until turn 10.
Same goes for my gf who's playing the same deck, this season she drew him maybe once or twice on turn 2 in over 20 games.
Well ,in my opinion the tempo rogue decks are designed to have a decent win rate even without drawing Keleseth. As of your question,it depends on your luck to draw him.Maybe 1of 6 games he has been in my hand, but even with him sometimes your other draws are bad and you still lose.
As others have said, the deck still wins... It's just a good deck, if you pop him out and add Evis it still runs fairly well. and I rarely hard mulligan for him, because having a good curve also has the deck win. it's just that good. Having a similar deck with the Pirate crab and Evis is actually pretty good vs. other rogue. You probably take a hit vs Razakus though. He's also good in warlock, There is a cycle of Keleseth warlock and Keleseth rogue being the top performing decks (among other surprise standouts like Big Druid). Just because the deck is so good though it's a mistake to think it is autopilot. proper use of Vilespine, low cost cards, Edwin etc, all have a huge impact. As well as when to use your shadowsteps, such as Vilespine, vs Keleseth, Vs, etc.
Keleseth is near to must-have in Tempo Rogue. I went from 19-10 with about 3 losses, and also had very few losses from 10 to 6. Then I had a few on 6, but after like an hour I was rank 5.
It doesn't happen often that you draw Keleseth on turn 2, but he still wins you quite some games and greatly improves your winrate. I also crafted him for the deck and I'm still very happy with him.
I don't have Keleseth. Wish I did. Foot in mouth for bad mouthing the princes pre-release. Irony, huh?
But I won't craft him for two reasons.
1. I'll never see him in a deck. Game will bury him for first 7 games at least.
2. I've never been matched against a Keleseth deck yet. I like it that way. As soon as I craft and deck him, I'll get matched against Keleseth decks and mirror matches against same. That's how this game works.

He's definitely worth crafting...enjoy the instant concede from opponent when u played Prince and 1 or 2 shadowstep on turn 1(with coin) or 2.
