I dont care jade druid this card kill Evolve if you can draw it by turn 6 Stupid net deck shaman player lose their comeback at that point
Shaman probably still win if you play this boat anchor.
That depends on how well you have controlled them up to 6. If you have kept their board clear I think you an just drop this on 6 if they don't have more than 2 minions out no problem.
The only thing i dont understand is why this card is epic quality, because i think you dont want to run 2 copies of this card EVER. Just one is always enough, maybe for some rare times where enemies have a way to generate 1 mana spells after you played your first Geist. I dunno.
I think you misunderstand the concept of rarity in Hearthstone. Common and rare cards are meant to be staple cards, something you have two ofs. Epic cards often have abilities seldom found in other cards. Their usage are often niche, and can only be put into specialized decks. Decks which has one ofs epic cards is not seldom.
I wanted to say that some decktypes have to look for new ways because this card would kick their ass if they don't. That's why this card is Metadefining - if you build a deck, you have to think about what happens when facing the Skulking Geist:
Jade druid - skulking geist would destroy their endgamecombo, but it's still a powerful deck. Eventually they will use some techcards now to revive Aya.
Paladins - secrets and a lot of buffspells would be destroyed, fortunately for them there is just the not so popular questpaladin who will suffer.
Priests - Skulking Geist hits them really hard: Power Word: Shield, Inner Fire and Potion of Madness. There will be the question whether the radiant elemental will protect these cards in hand. OTK and Silencepriest will bring Kooky Alchemist to go for their kills.
Rogues - There are some cards used to prepare the combospells: Hallucination, Deadly Poison and Cold Blood. Rogues don't delay on them but these 3 spells will be less to see in their decks.
Shaman - They will still use Evolve. Evolve+Doppelgangster needs 6 mana too like the Geist, but even a not evolved Doppelgangster is 3 minions for their Bloodlust. And they got Thrall!
Hunter - will not be very impressed by the Geist, eventually they will loose a Hunter's Mark they used for tech.
Mage - same as Hunter, their 1-mana-spells are not evident. Eventually the new Breath of Sindragosa will be part for the Freezemages, but not very popular in use because of the Geist.
Warlock - Mortal Coil and Soulfire are popular and part of their deckstrategy. They have to think about alternatives if they don't want to risk loosing these cards to the Geist. But thanks Treachery we will see more Warlocks again.
Warrior - Shield Slam, Upgrade, Whirlwind, Blood to Ichor - Piratewarrior without Upgrade? He won't be amused, but if he doesn't kill in Round 6-8 he got problems. So Upgrade will still be part of their deck. Controlwarriors can loose more spells to the Geist and will use minions instead - and they get the Heropower of Scourgelord Garrosh.
One-Mana-Spells won't vanish in Gameplay, but the decks must have a Plan B for how to play without them.

Can confirm from experience that ANY competent deck that makes room for this will find the Shaman matchup to become exceedingly easy if this kills even one of the evolves. Card also helps against priest slightly and of course, jade druid. Also has use against rogue and warrior's running shield slam. I've teched it into EVERY control deck I play and my only complaint is that it's always bottom five against Jade Druid.
Is anyone even playing geist? I have not seen it played. I thought that card would be too slow and I may be right. We may need to wait 2-3 more months for jade druid to get nerfs. Been hearing its 30% of the meta and has near 60% winrate. :(
It appears this card is way to slow, druid just plays the idols and makes sure there is one left in the deck up to turn 6 , if it becomes more prevalent id take out fandral rather than the idols.
Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.
Prep, Coin, Emote, Concede.
Will it show you what got destroyed?
Can't wait for this card to be shoved up you Jade Druid asses. Fuck you.
rip jade druid no more infinite cycle
I'm gonna use Skulking Geist in every single deck I have

Most Druids laugh at this overpriced piece of garbage.
You say so I used this card against many druid and I won the game by a huge board advantage.
