I've beat Jade Druid twice with control decks after they've gone into "infinite value mode"... don't understand the "control can't win" argument. Once by stealing an Idol and once with a well timed Deathwing.
It's more like "control can't win against a good Jade player"..."well timed Deathwing" sounds like he overextended to me, but without observing the whole game, it's hard to say anything really.
So now where are these people crying for nerf? I think they just realized card is not that powerful at all.
jade druid lost drakes, living roots and mulch. so now they have a lot less removal, the meta got faster and jade druid is still viable. I have multiple people in my friends list who took jade druid to legend this season
The jade shaman or rogue jade are decks where you can make your jade as big as you have jade minions (a bit like cthun). We don't know why jade druid is not the same. The infinite value of the jade idol is so stupid. This game is losing everything that makes a card game is a card game. No matter if jade druid is not an unbeatable deck, the idea of this card stay stupid. The winrate against it when you play control is indecent. He vomits his hand the way he wants and you simply lost from the moment where his jade become unmanageable. 100% 0 skill and uninteractive. The system of fatigue is an element that is part of the base of the game, there is no reason that a deck has the possibility to escape this rule. Ridiculous.

Like aggro, Jade Druid keeps ultra greedy control decks in check. You can't simply remove everything and win the fatigue game. You have to actually play solid minions and at some point apply face pressure and force them to trade. The deck probably feels unfair to play against as a control deck, but that's okay. Every deck ought to have something to keep it in check that feels incredibly unfair.

This nerf is necessary with new expansion sorry but Jade is too strong at slow meta so they have to nerf it or they should craft a tech card against it cuz using tech cards at control decks is not really that hard.
I was curious and I started to play a variation of Jade Druid ... IMO it's not that OP ... but Jade Idol should be like "or Shuffle 3 copies of Jade Golem" (1 mana Summon a Jade Golem) so there would be no infinite value ... 6 golems from this is strong enough ...

Or have alternate win conditions. If a deck revolves solely around exhausting the opponent out of resources, it will lose to any deck that can't be run out of resources. It's a natural counter, much like Control Warrior was always a counter to Freeze Mage, since the Freeze Mage relies on limited amount of damage to finish the game and the warrior can increase it's Health past that damage, just as Freeze Mage is a natural counter to board flood decks and strategies that rely solely on board, since it can remove multiple boards and freeze them to further the gameplan, where as it will always be vulnerable to Weapons to a point and Burn damage completely.
Like you said, Every deck has it's counter, when there are no counters to a deck, there is where the deck is off balance.
Nowadays, Druids can have more armours than Warriors. Druid has more tools for late game than Warrior.

After gadgetzan and new rotation this is the only faction that still works.
The goons and cabals ? you have to craft your whole deck around it and yust aint worth it atm, the lotus ? yust put a few key lotus cards in your deck and you can make a jade anything deck.
When will this card rotate out? untill then there can't be a viable fatigue deck and for me this always was the most fun part of the game.
Honestly, Gadgetzan Auctioneer is the engine behind Jade Druid's jade golem machine. Without Auctioneer, Jade Idol promises to run out of steam or run our of golems, as Jade Druid without easy draw and replenish of Jade Idol is eventually forced to choose between a golem minion on board or anti-fatigue deck replenishment.
Blizzard should send Auctioneer to Hall of Fame (miracle decks are stagnant and need something less powerful and still effective to exist, or they should go away with freeze mage imo) and that would solve more than just the Jade idol problem.
