I think the greatest strength of this card is that you don't have to put it in your deck. If you play Soulfire and/or Doomguard in your Zoo already, you can occasionally hit Malchezaar's Imp off a Dark Peddler and just draw a bunch of free cards.
Pretty good. Definitly playable, quite a buff to soulfire/doomguard. If you need to soulfire early for tempo, this card should be better then Voidwalker. Might replace argent squire.
I refuse to play discard warlock until I can control which cards I discard. Leaving the outcome of the game up to random discards and topdecks just seems like a mindless way to play, like a game of dice.
Pretty much a bad card, won't see play until more discard interactions are created. Unlike what people are saying here, it won't be included in zoo decks that have soulfire. I mean, you get rid of what card to include this one? Flame imp? Possessed Villager? No way.
It's just a gimmicky card that hasn't enough support as of this day.
It's an ok design. To be honest, I have high hopes for warlock this time. Usually warlocks always get the shord end of the stick with class cards, but this time I believe the worst card we'll get is at least a "playable" card, like this one.
Can't wait to see what spells warlocks are getting to finally see Cho'gall in play. Make it happen please i.i'
I am curious how often a 1/3 is better than a 1/1 divine shield on turn 1. I feel like the 1/3 is probably a little bit stronger in most cases, but I'm not sure...
I think blizz are just really trying to push warlock discard, with the likes of this and the librarian in the last set, but so long as zoo exists I just don't think it will get off the ground
There's something I don't think people understand about discarding and how it operates in Hearthstone. In Hearthstone, you lose two things whenever you discard a card: resources and card advantage. When you put this in perspective, it becomes easier to identify why cards with Discard effects were not worth their benefits. Not only are you burning a resource with each discard, you are cutting down on your ability to adapt to the other player since you have a significantly decreased amount of options at the end of your turn. And if your Discard minion is countered/removed next turn? These two things make regaining momentum incredibly difficult. Not even the Warlock's clear edge in card draw can overcome both of these problems.
With Malchezaar's Imp, you are negating the loss of card advantage with only 1 mana. You play it like you'd play a Northshire Cleric in that you only play it when you can take advantage of it in the same turn. It doesn't put lost resources back in your hand, but it replaces your lost cards with new ones from your deck instantly. For one mana, Warlocks can maintain their greatest strength while playing cards with incredible value.
This card is definitely going to pave the way for a new Warlock deck archetype, not because the minion is all that great on its own, but because it enables so many of the Warlock's options that, until now, were not worth it. For this reason alone, this card will easily see play in Constructed. The fact that's a common 1 drop with good stats is a nice bonus; I think a good Arena career is in store for Warlocks.
We need another fist of jaraxxus card like so this can be more viabel
This is good support for discard deck. i will try playing one when we unlock this card

Nice card, with dark peddler you have chance to have more than one in board and soulfires and succubus draw cards instead discard...
It'll see play, but only as a "least bad" pick off of Dark Peddler.

deathwing loves this guy.

Really love this card... because it existing means the odds of warlocks getting an extra power overwhelming off of Dark Peddler goes down
Seems like a bad card to me. But.... Someday it could be godly in Wild. So, I dunno. Good card, someday, bad card now?
One could easily imagine it as part of some 'true' combo deck.
Galavant Animation

I hope they make discard cards require cards to be discarded to be played otherwise this is just over powered

This can resolve problem with card draw for disracr lock, but there is still problem with randomness of such deck.
But if they will add legendary which will allow to chose which card to discrad then discard lock will be nice deck for sure
I am dying.... of fatigue.....
The joke is you.

Cool card but warlocks has multiple 1 drop...
