is it really that bad in zoo? you end up with a empty hand quite early useually and if you play it before the notorious lifetap you get a freecard on top of vanilla stats
IN a deck where you can routinely play this when your hand is empty, like zoo, it's tremendous.
- You don't have an empty hand early into the game. - You will NEVER be able to play this on curve without downside - You could just as well play any other 2 drop WITH AN EFFECT ON TOP (Flame Juggler, Huge Toad, Knife Juggler, Dire Wolf Alpha etc)
So why play this garbage instead of tapping later on? Or if you REALLY wanna draw a card as deathrattle just play Loot Hoarder?
This is the sort of card you would love to summon but not play. Getting the deathrattle without the battlecry would be fantastic.
I can't think of any way to make that happen other than random luck (I mean, yes, N'Zoth, but you'd still have to play it first), so it's basically a Piloted Shredder buff for Wild.

Hey Zukuu, you seem very against this card but one piece of advice that has done me well over the years is "Don't knock it until you have tried it."
I am bloody old, I started playing Magic back in 1994 and have used both Suicide Black and Red Sligh decks back in the day and both of those used cards that cost you additional cards from hand, or dealt damage to you, or made you sacrifice your own permanents so that is why this card seems better to me as it reminds me of those days where you pay some disadvantage now for a gain of some type, which is the same as Flame Imp and Doomguard.
I am not saying that this card will be amazing and go into every single Aggro / Zoo deck ever but it is just from personal experience that losing a card now doesn't actually seem that bad to me so I am looking forward to seeing how Standard pans out.

If this card had a real tangible benefit, like a great battlecry or being over-statted, I think what you're saying would make a lot more sense. This has vanilla stats and will draw you a card to replace the random one it burns some time in the future. In a class that has virtually unlimited draw potential, this just isn't that valuable. Maybe this would be interesting in a class with limited draw or in a combo deck (the latter only if you could choose the discard).
Still I could see it lategame in a deck that wouldn't have any cards in hand anyways
You really don't want a 3/2 to be the only card in your hand when you get to lategame, though.
If you are in top deck mode with a Zoo deck, you mostly only have 3/2's anyway so it would be fine. You just play this, then tap and play then next minion you drew as well.
However, having been climbing the ladder for the past few days with Zoo, I haven't actually found a place for this card since Darkshire Councilman is so damn good, I have built around getting a swarm going to buff his attack up. When/if the meta changes then I can come back and test out this card more.
If we had just one or two more cards like Fist of Jaraxxus then discard mechanics would be very good. Just like Tunnel Trogg made overload good. (maybe not just as good, but close)

10/10 for the librarian concept for the mechanic.

Another garbage warlock discard card. it goes in the trash pile with Tiny Knight of Evil, Succubus, Dark Bargain, and Fist of Jaraxxus
MTG madness mechanic needed (similar to Fist of Jaraxus effect) to include this in a deck.
I will crush you!

meh...
7/10
good stats, nice art, bad ability
If evolution is outlawed, only outlaws will evolve.
I have no idea why blizzard wants to make "discard" happen without a graveyard/crypt and interactions with cards in it.
Got a bad hand? Now you can try again to get a better one. Seems good.
Okay, after playing with the card, I think I ought to say people should re-evaluate it as I have.
It's not all that bad, I've put it in a C'thun deck to have a 3/2 minion that digs through my deck to get C'thun and stuff.
Even if you discard C'thun there's that card that puts C'thun back into your deck...
Or you know... You just tap?
7 of these in my first 50 packs, yet zero Steward of Darkshire and zero Undercity Huckster. Thanks, Blizz - and you wonder why I'm FTP?

It's all about fishing for a specific card in your deck without wasting tempo/stats.
I admit on paper this looks like utter sheight, but give it a go, and you will actually be mulliganing for it.
