At first I thought this card was bad. Like why would you pay 10 mana to potentially throw pyroblasts at your own face. But you can also do the same to your opponent. This is basically the closest we're going to get to a card which says "50% chance to win the game." You don't put this in your deck as a reliable win condition. Rather you put it in your deck so that if you're about to lose, you get a 50/50 chance of either dying anyway, or winning out of nowhere.

Ye with little faith. Imagin this in a deck with echo of madivh and ice block.
Yeah, you play Yogg on your turn and Secrets does not activate on your turn... The only card that could have make Yogg viable does not work that way :/
Exactly, ice block will not activate on your turn so you're just as vulnerable as your opponent. A ton of direct damage spells have no restriction on the target so playing this on an empty board means there's a 33% of any direct damage spell hitting your own face.
The pluses are basically all secrets help you, AOE for the most part targets your opponent's side of the board only with some exceptions like Hellfire, Twisting Nether, Doom! etc.
In the 70% of scenarios it will end just cleaning the board, killing himself.
In that 30% worst scenario is buffing opponents minions and kills yours. Too much randomness, good for some fun, but too risky. It should have been on opponents characters. So keep the risk to heal buff them but be sure yours will survive.
Unless something extraordinary happens in the remaining cards such as a follower that "tinkers" yogg's battlecry towards your favor, i believe this is waaaaay to volatile to be included in any competitive deck.
As we all know though fun is a great aspect of the game so ill definately include this one into a deck constructed around him and have some great fun moments.... glorious wins and/or devasting defeats (eg 3 pyroblasts in own face :P )
I see a lot of people just bashing this card as an rng fiesta which it is but this doesn't necessarily mean this is a bad card and unplayable except for fun.
Yogg-Saron could definitely work in a deck that doesn't play many minions and relies on spells to clear the board and stay alive.
Yes when you play him there is always a chance you could die instead of the opponent. However there are many ways you can tip the scales in your favour.
If you have no minions on the board and the opponent has say 5 those minions are likely to die. Similarly if you are on a much greater amount of health than your opponent (maybe because of a previous reno or alex turn) you are far less likely to die.
I will certainly be experimenting widely with this card as I'm sure many others will.

This will make for an interesting moment in a tournament when someone has found the Golden Monkey and gets two of these in their hand as their last two cards before fatigue :)
Seriously this card is pretty good and certainly viable. What do you do as a combo druid/tempo mage who is losing a game against control warrior in normal circumstances? Nothing you topdeck can save you while you are inevitable dragging the game along till the control player kills all your threats. By playing one of these as a back up plan, you at least have some hope to maybe win a 100% losing match and that alone makes this card a valid choice.

oh, is it saying a random spell from any class in the quantity of spells you cast?

This card can be pretty good while you have no board ans no cards left in your hand....
Yogg can cast som mass removal, some Sectret, Card Draw, Spawn some minions on your side.
You just think abou worst case scenario (3x pyro in yo face)... Check out all the spells..

Abandon all hope, "Random" is written twice on the card. Pretty fun card otherwise, but I doubt it is tournament material.

Technically you can play wee spellstopper before dropping Yogg-Saron in the next turn. In wild of course.
