You knew the nerf was coming, what did you expect to happen? If MTG arena was to nerf cards it would likely be exactly the same.
Didn't you hear? MTG:A will have perfectly balanced cards with a perfectly diverse meta and no cards will ever need to be changed after release.
To be honest, in Magic cards are never nerfed, because you can't change paper cards which were already printed. The cards become either limited or banned. I guess this will be the same for MTGA.

Never nerfed is a bit strong. There have been cards to receive erratas in the past, but it is very rare And you're right that most of the time, MTG either restricts or bans cards.
I had 2 Inventors in my deck, drafted them for 5, now they cost 7 and mess up my curve. What a bullshit. Thankfully im already off to MTG
Well, they announced the nerfs well in advance, so it is honestly your own fault that you didnt finish the run before they hit. Have fun with MTGA i suppose ;-)
This is kinda petty to cry about, but yeah they are not gonna wait for you to finish your arena run before implementing much needed and honestly extremely late nerfs.
i expect the cards not to change midrun. like i drafted them for 5 and then they appeared for 7 in the match? wtf
I don't know if you realize this, but when you create your arena deck they do not store the information of every single card in your deck including the mana cost, effect, stats, and tags. That would require a whole lot of extra data storage than just storing a reference to a single instance of the card's information.
I feel your pain! I also drafted a Giggling in my arena run pre-nerf! Then I played a constructed deck that had two Gigglings in it and they were 7 mana as well. I was so mad, because they only cost 5 when I put them in the deck. I mean... c'mon, Blizzard!!!
But seriously... that sucks, but it should have been expected. Hope you have fun with MTG Arena, it is nice but not without its own flaws. Like how action auto passes when you can't play an Instant, or use an ability, but it auto waits for you when you can. It's a tell tale sign to your opponent you have a spell in hand when that happens. But I'm sure that free information is not a big deal like the mana cost change to a few cards mid arena run are, right?

I knew nothing of these nerfs and I've been logging in daily for years. I see by their twitter this was announced.... 3 days ago?
The same thing happened to me w/ the GI's. How dare they change the mana cost of minions that I knew were getting nerfed.
BTW, I play Magic: Arena and HS. I know...weird, huh? It seems like a lot of people here feel that it's one game or the other. Keep in mind I can't actually afford to play both. So, for now, Magic is FTP for me. It's a great game, but it certainly is far from perfect. It's just the new shiny toy (relatively speaking) until next month when Artifact will become the new shiny toy.
Anyway...sorry that I got off on a tangent. Damn Blizzard. I want my money back for my free run. Kappa.
Are you stupid !? What if you win 2 more games and then took a break and somebody else drafted a 7 mana giggling , it means that you have the same cards but with different mana costs playing against each other and that is not normal at all, like that is the worst thing that can happen. ofc they will change immediately...
Oh, if only I could snipe Kripp this way. The expression on his face would be priceless.

If you play the game for several years, you should know that their community team is total shit and they do a poor job of relaying information, so you should have developed a habit of checking community sites like ours or reddit for any news. More so, since you are also a member here. I could forgive this to a newcomer, but not to a years old veteran. Sadly this is fully on you.
Also if you want blizzard news from "the source" read the news in the battlenet client or watch for their blogs (if you dont read our news :P), dont expect ingame pop-ups in advance about stuff. Ingame pop-ups are always informatory after the fact.
some misconceptions about mtga here. cards will never be nerfed after printing because theyre based on physical cards. unless they are misprints its very unlikely to ever see a relevant errata on a card. sometimes small adjustments like creature type happen.
you can also disable all autofunctions in the client, which makes the game a clickfest but lets you play more competitively.
the way this nerf was executed was just the nail in the coffin. i still might start the game for the card back a couple of month now, because ive got a full collection now, but im really surprised how generous and fun mtga turned out.
besides, after a couple of years invested into a game and this community site you dont just quit. its a long and painful goodbye.

If you're truly off to MTG, why are you posting about this in a Hearthstone forum?
You are not smart, and you are really playing magic?
LOL

LOL yes? Do you think you get to be the special one playing with unnerfed cards? That's some bullshit.

You can disable the auto pass.

may i ask why you drafted cards that you knew were getting nerfed in a couple days?
Also do you really think it would be fair that you and only you could play an arena with a card broken enough to receive a nerf?
Take a look at my most recent deck, Watch post, totem, menagerie shaman.
Dont just troll post everything. Go on fb and get points for posting there kido
This is annoying thing, giggling is/was a must pick and can surely break deck symetry.
I just started a new arena run (30mins ago) and i got offered the inventor for 5 mana. Dont aks me why
They once nerfed Undertaker during a tournament.
