So as some of you might already know, Even paladin has recently had a resurgence in the current meta game. Most lists that I have faced/played don't run any Boomsday cards and so I'm wondering why it has recently gotten so strong. Like not to toot my own horn or anything, but I've been on a pretty consistent winstreak from rank 5 down to rank 2, which is the highest I've ever been, with the most of the losses being to me being stupid and misplaying.
As of right now, I think it is one of the most powerful decks in standard right now and I'm wondering what others think about it. Opinions?

I don't have something witty about this deck, I just like it because Malygos is fun.
I don't think it's good enough to see high tier play or tournament play. From what I have seen, it loses to a lot of control and otk decks, and can't always beat aggro decks. In my opinion, in terms of even aggro decks, even shaman is the better pick.
Also, not very many people have gone back to even pally after it got nerfed. Odd pally (While it lost some popularity recently) is a little better than even.
I'm not talking in terms of fun, I am talking about viability. I don't actually play odd pally, because I find it boring, but I'm just saying that in terms of competitiveness, even pally is not as good as other decks.
i'm 16-5 so far, climbed from 900+ legend to 147, its the corpsetaker version and so far it is really good, but tomorrow with the nerfs a lot of things are going to change anyway, but its a good deck to climb right now
It's just sneaking back into meta because of the polarization of other t1 decks. It can push tog Druid and overwhelm odd rogue and outpace quest rogue.
It does get wrecked by odd warrior but there isn't much of that on ladder with all the tog druids and quest rogues in legend.
It is very high rank viable and it was before a month ago too. I've played another anti agro version with Bells at legend levels over the past months and done quiet well.

That makes sense, unfortunately I haven't ran into a tog druid or an odd rogue in a while. I have been able to push out a couple odd warriors though by just swarming them down and having them get unlucky I guess.
Mind if I ask you for the list you were running with the Bells? It sounds pretty interesting.

I think the most interesting play in the deck is Prismatic Lens it really work very well in Even Paladin since you have only 2 - Tow mana spells which mean you are guaranteed a Cheap Big Spell ... also you can cheat out a Lich King for 2 , 4 mana most of the time .
I didn't thout that Card would be always useful when played before I try it .
Anyone have a solid decklist? Ever since I've gotten legend with Even Pala back when Witchwood first launched, I've been longing to play around with it.

For bells wild pyromancer specifically since it's basically a flamestrike turn 10 and a 7/6, it's also flexible in buffing up a board of dudes or stacking to draw silence. The flipside is there's no room for windfury package so the deck overall is less aggressive. Like I said though it eats agro and has a ton of push on druids since you can build one or 2 massive minions.
I've never stopped playing my Even Dragon Paladin deck (because it didn't even use Call to Arms back when it was broken) and it as well doesnt run any Boomsday cards, it's the exact same list from Witchwood and it still gets me wins that I feel like I shouldn't have gotten.
Can't wait for these new balance changes though. With the nerf to Giggling Inventor going to 6 mana (speculation) it's just gonna slide right nicely into my deck and make it so that there's finally a Boomsday card that's worth running.

Mind sharing your decklist? That sounds pretty interesting. I've been raring to play a new Even Paladin deck ever since Call to Arms got nerfed.
I've been playing it the last two days just to see what the fuss was all about. I think it's legitimate and is probably going to play a good roll in the rest of the meta. (We'll see once it's more of a known deck, of course. Right now, I'm not sure people know what to expect.)
There are good anti-aggro tools (Pyro, Consecration, Equality, Spikeridge Steed, Kangor/Heal). Although I still get run over by Zoo more than I'd like.
Val'anyr gives you game against control (it's basically an auto-keep IMO).
It has reasonable burst in Corpsetaker/Windfury, Blessing of Kings, and Dinosize (if you're into that...I am).
It can run the good tech options if it needs to (Geist, Horror)
All things considered, is it better than Even Warlock? I'm not sure. But there's something there, and I think it should continue to be explored and refined. I certainly find it more satisfying to play than Even Shaman.
That's the list I've been playing with the following changes: - Sea Giant + Dinozise - Avenging Wrath + Hydrologist (I feel like 7 two drops was not enough)
There are also versions running Mountain Giants and Dry Gulch Jailers. I'm haven't tried those.
i hate any braindead decks, these type of decks doesnt define a good player, even my young brother could do well with it since the goal is drop minion and go face.
if you are an aggro player and want to defend this style dont waste your time doing so, im sure 100% this type of decks any retarded could do a good job playing with.

I have mained even paladin this season, it is fun and has no unwinable matchups, with even shaman beeing the worst tho. And as someone already mentioned, it is not an aggro deck, ever since cta isn't playable in it anymore. If you are tired of the same decks, it is really fun. But also expensive af :/ Here my stats from playing it in the rank 5 to 1 range. Haven't played enough to hit legend yet tho :P
Compared to Even Shaman (which is a minion-centric Tempo deck without any comeback mechanism) the new iteration of Even Paladin feels much more like a classic Mid Range deck. Granted, without e.g. Val'anyr it's an auto-loss against most of the slower decks so don't consider playing without it. I don't know if the Windfury trigger on Corpsetaker is worth running a copy of Windfury Harpy since the minion itself isn't that difficult to remove (unless you're Priest ofc). Without it, there's less burst available and you have to rely on the various buffs such as Spikeridged Steed or Sound the Bells! (coupled with Wild Pyromancer it can be great vs. Zoo decks. As for myself, I also run a single Dinosize as nobody plays around that card and it can be insta gg vs. squishy Rogues or Warlocks. All in all, it's refreshing to finally see a Paladin archetype making a comeback which isn't either SMOrc or OTK.

Windfury harp + dinosize is hilarious haha. Been messing arround with it myself a bit.

If your idea of fun is just spamming minions on the board continually then buffing them, you're playing the right deck.
