it has been what? 2 months since the launch day of the Boomsday? The meta is quite boring if you ask me. The last big breakthrough was Big Priest, but Zoo is still one of the most popular decks in the game, along with many other aggro decks. Where is the balance, i ask you? To drop the dramatics, a thread for suggestions to improve the meta game by nerfing some cards, adding others to Hall of Fame, or bringing some cards from Wild to Constructed.
What's the discussion to be had here? Metas get stale, the balance is fine except maybe Giggling and Psychmelon, there's a lot Blizz could do to make it not stale but clearly they aren't interested.
I'm genuinely curious about how many cards from boomsday and ww are even seeing play in the meta right now. I would guess it's less than 5 percent. The classic set and basic cards are a blight on this game and are well over 40% of the meta at all times. Even the next expansion will barely have any impact. Blizzard has gone on record saying that this year was meant to bring the power levels back in. You should expect a meta like this or very similar until next rotation.

Here is an idea. Go to HSReplay, and tabulate the data. Come back when you have some real information. I find your uninformed speculations to have no value.
My personal experience is that aggro is not teriibly strong. Combo, control, and midrange are all in the top tiers. If you are personally finding too much aggro tech in some mossy horrors and of course giggling inventors.
Everyone is bored because the meta is TOO rock/paper/scissors!!! I was on a trip the other day and sitting in the hotel room, played HS on my ipad for 2 or 3 hours. Went from rank 9 *** to rank 8 ***. You don't make any movement cause you win one and lose one and win one and lose two then win two and lose one. You hit a winning streak then lose 3 straight.
This is simply NO FUN, so that's where I left myself at rank 8 *** because i was bored as hell and didn't want to play more.
Moving cards to the HOF only happens at rotation time. IOW, not till next April.
Nerfing cards to simply shake up the Meta is an incredibly bad idea. The card has to be OP to warrant a nerf.
The Meta is extremely balanced now. Every class has at least one Legend viable deck.
If you are seeing lots of Aggro, play Control Warrior. Mindlessly spam removal till they concede. Don’t forget to emote “I will crush you”.
I couldn't agree more, especially with not nerfing cards just because players are bored.
Players have this weird expectation that since this card game is not a physical game that you could technically change at the drop of a hat that that means we should have a new game each month (or even sooner). I don't care if the game is used over a digital medium or not card games are not supposed to changed so frequently that nothing settles. Contrary to popular belief settling isn't a bad thing by itself.
Agreed. I no longer play at all (I just come here periodically, to see if anything has changed). Blizzard’s decision to ignore their players, and change nothing, will be seen as a huge blunder, in my opinion, with more viable competition entering the digital CCG space.

Players haven't exactly been ignored really. I feel that the vocal minority just wants too much all of the time. They demand and even expect that any deck or card they don't like be immediately taken care of without having to build their own strategy around it lest said players threaten to quit.
Decks like Grim Patron Warrior, Undertaker Hunter, & Raging Worgen Warrior have been flat out killed due to player feedback while other cards/decks like Raza, Quest Rogue, etc have been nerfed (some more than once). Not catering to every one of a player's demands shouldn't be seen as a blunder imo.

"Blizzard has gone on record saying that this year was meant to bring the power levels back in" THEY DID?

Agree. If the goal of standard format was to make expansions relevant, they have clearly failed, although I attribute it more to 'gotta-have' power creep (looking at you death knights) than the classic/basic.
I think I just got tired of PVP ladder grind. It had to happen eventually. For me, the game would have really benefitted from another play mode or two. Preferably something casual. Hearthstone and I had a good run, I can't complain. Eventually I get tired of playing any game and Hearthstone lasted longer than most.
As long as there are no long time effects and the ideas of the old Team 5 crapshit is still in game this game will be stale, shitty and a fucking casual down syndrome fiesta. When Rank 20 fags can defeat high legend players this game is dead anyway.
The decline in pro players is rising and rising.

@tcipps Is your Google broken?
Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.
