Well, first of all tinkering with new cards and enjoying the wild first steps of an expansion!
Then i'll climb to rank 5 like always and see how far above it i can get :> The grind to legend is too much for me :)
Depends on deck... yesterday I went from Rank 4 to Legend in just 3-4 hours or so. (and Rank 4 is the rank I wiggle around at after I reach Rank 5 if I don't play top tier decks)
I am a massive Hunter player so you best believe I am going to try out a Big Hunter once K&C comes out. This week though I am going to climb with my purify priest and mid-range hunter. Might even play some secret hunter if I’m up for a challenge.
I will wait till the expansion comes out, then start laddering. How far will I go depends on what I open from packs and any of my non-golden classes will be viable or not.
I've just reached rank 5 with spell hunter. Had a 72% winrate from 10 to 5 and most important i had 90% winrate against mage (9-1), with the only loss because of a really really stupid missplay. For the ones that are wondering, im using the Kibler with -1 On the Hunt +1 Candleshot.
Reached rank 5 with a mix of sprint miracle rogue, burn mage, secret hunter caping at leeroy and tempo rogue. No idea which deck I'll pick for the push to legend. I guess sprint rogue is both the funniest and the weakest (though my results were fine), and burn mage did very bad for me, so hunter and tempo rogue, both of which were solid, hoping to dodge the wall of 3/9 at turn 6. Might touch my facehunter list to find room for corridor creepers.
But first gonna mess with burn shaman, because why not, there must be a reason for rank floors right?
I haven't played this game in 2 months. Is the new expansion worth playing?
Feel as though this is one of the hardest seasons I've played in as far as climbing. Lots of different decks and classes being run so its hard to target a certain deck and some pretty powerful new cards have been released so you probably would have to do some crafting or pack opening to get an effective deck together.
I'm hoping to get to rank 16 this season as that would be a personal best. I'm a F2P player who doesn't net deck. Most seasons, I've been stuck more at ranks 20 and 19, but this season I've been steadily climbling back forth at ranks 18 and 17. My dragon priest copy/steal everything deck has got me rank 18 in wild , while my board buffing non murloc paladin deck, has gotten to rank 17 in standard. Both are standard decks, but I probably have a better shot with the paladin deck. The paladin deck is less random than the priest deck, and I have played with the paladin interactions more than the priest ones.
Legend with a mix of face hunter and face shaman, 'cause it is fun sometimes to hit face.
Hunter feels more consistent, burn shaman stronger against paladin. Both do well against priest and suffer against turn 5/6 3/9 into wall of taunts.
Was pretty cool to use shaman while the class is probably in its more dire state ever, people don't know what you are playing and priest often mess up their 3/3 that picks a card from your deck. That said, not much novelty here, the only new cards I play are these cheap guys that seem to enjoy creeping in corridors...
[edit] I actually started to use shaman for the lol at rank floor, and it carried me to rank 3 on a strong winrate. Who would have thought?
Made it to Legend with Keleseth Rogue. 63% winrate.
Decklist is basically what everyone else is using. I did sub in one Spellbreaker by removing one Cobalt Scalebane. My previous deck with Vicious Fledgling was just a bit too weak against Control Warlock and replacing it with Elven Minstrels gave me juice to last his first taunt.
Only deck right now that seems competitive enough in the aggro paladin meta. The most popular builds I faced were Razakus Priest, Control Warlock, and Aggro Paladin. And other prince rogues. Runner up is secret mage and midrange/aggro hunter. Annihilated Secret Mage and Hunters, and was 23-9 against Paladins. Deck was weak against Priest, at only 19-18 and against warlock was 19-12, a few were Zoo which was a favoured matchup.
Overall the grind felt terrible. I only tried going for legend in the Last week or so, as I usually just stopped at rank 5. This time I decided to get a rank a day til I get to legend from rank 5 (I accomplished that within 6 days.) Played quite a lot tho.

TL;DR: I made Legend for the first time using a funky Secret Hunter to get to Rank 5 and then switching to a Keleseth Zoolock.
Long-time reader, first-time poster. So, I finally made Legend last night.I’ve been playing Hearthstone casually since summer of 2015, but this was maybe my third try-hard push.
I started the month (prior to K&C release) with Token/Evolve Shaman and Murloc Paladin.Got to about Rank 14 before K&C dropped. Then I built a fun but gimmicky Hunter deck around secrets, Kathrena Winterwisp, and big beasts. It ran some cards some you don’t see in most secret hunters now that the meta has settled, including 2 Stitched Trackers and an Eater of Secrets (lost of mages and other hunters in that first week). It even had Seeping Oozelings, LOL. Anyway, I didn’t expect that much from a meme-y deck but I totally crushed with it for a few days. I got to Rank 5.
Then, the meta settled, and I began getting toasted by aggro. So, I decided to switch it up. I tuned in to Twitch and happened to catch Ant making his way quickly through Rank 1 to Legend with a Keleseth Zoo deck. I’ve got history with Zoo, so it looked like a familiar, fun, powerful, and relatively easy deck to play.My first couple sessions were back and forth, but soon I was sitting at Rank 3 with one star. The next night (this Tuesday) I sat down and won 5 straight!Rank 2, one star.10 net wins away from legend.
Finally, I sat down last night at about 7:30pm.I was prepared to grind and didn’t expect much, but proceeded to go 17-7 and made legend by 11pm or so! If anything, the final boss was anti-climactic.I had my best draw ever against a Priest who must have drawn poorly and by Turn 6, he was dead. It felt good to see the “You are Legend” screen and my first ranked number - 2884, and then to select the Legend reward card back as my new favorite. But most of all, it felt like a weight had been lifted and I’d finally “won” my favorite video game.
I went from 18 to 10 in one day. With the KnC I was stucked between 10 and 7, I was aiming for rank 5 but now i´m at 3. A little bit better every season

I sometimes play a control warlock, and midrange hunter. But I can't afford big or jade or miracle druid. They just have too high of a dust cost.

Reached rank 5 two days ago playing purely Mage with tech cards. Mage seems stagnant at rank 5 help with final push to Legend?
Aiming for rank 5 this season. Been playing since The old gods release. Made rank 10 last season for the first time. Aggro pally should take me there.
I haven't played this game in 2 months. Is the new expansion worth playing?
Everything that isn't about elephants is irrelephant.
Not planning to grind, but I got to rank 5 from rank 9 in an hour with Tempo Rogue:
I feel like Corridor Creepers is still best in Tempo Rogue and every other aggro/tempo class that tries to be Tempo Rogue is just weaker.

Can I watch you play? This seems bananas to me!

Other expansions managed to climb to rank 15. This one can't get past 18. Wtf is this meta?
