I buy when I can and when I want cards, a lot of them!
But I've never felt guilty about that, if you can spare the money is ok, it is not if it is more of a compulsive response rather than an actual conscious spending on a hobbie.
Why do you feel guilty? You can't really really spend that money? Have debt? If that's the case seek some help and restrict your spendings, even talk to your bank to cap your monthly spending limit so you can't go over that.
I just buy the preorder for each expansion set, with the farmed gold you can keep it up easily in order to get cards and enough dust to craft pretty much everything you may need for building a few decks.

For what profit is it to a man, if he gains the world and loses his own soul?

nah ive just spent so much i feel like im wasting money lol
Paying for entertainment is good and healthy for the gaming industry. You can build your collection faster, try more decks, enjoy the game more than a F2P player trying to manage the precious dust to build the 1-2 meta decks he can afford. I pre-order every expansion and I feel great, I enjoy the game and play 10 games a day on average so I could never try all the cards relying on Arena alone to build my collection through packs.
When you buy another game that's not F2P, or go to the movies, or whatever, do you feel bad about spending the money? You shouldn't man!

English isn't my first language, so please excuse any mistakes.
I look at it like the money I spend is instead of getting a new game every couple of months. I easily get a games worth of enjoyment out of it so it's easy to justify.
I mean, it's like PiLoKko said. If you're making conscious financial decisions that fit within your budget, then you shouldn't feel guilty. If you budgeted money for Hearthstone cards, and then spend that money on Hearthstone cards, then what's the harm? If, on the other hand, you're foregoing payments on debt then yes, you may have a problem. If it's just a situation of "I feel like I'm wasting money" then, well, that's really a value judgment you'll have to make based on your own values and financial situation.
Do you feel bad about spending so much on one game or feel bad because you don't feel like you've gotten your money's worth in satisfaction out of hearthstone? Cuz if it's the first one thats up to you man it's your budget. If it's the second then hearthstone might not be a good investment for you in the future...
If you don't have the cards you need to have fun, then yeah don't stress it. Even if you're just looking to open a few more cool "gimmick" cards (like the DK Hunter or what not), there's nothing wrong with spending a little bit of money to have fun the way you want to have fun.
But if you're kinda buying packs and then never really using the cards (or sitting on an unnecessarily large amount of dust), you may want to at least rethink it. There's nothing wrong with spending money solely for the joy of opening packs, but you may want to make sure it's not like an unhealthy addiction or anything. Hoarding/gambling instincts can cause people to spend a lot of money when they really shouldn't be (though again it depends on your financial situation too).
Of course it's okay. You earned your money, you can do whatever you want with it. I too spend money each time an expansion comes out and sometimes I also feel like I'm spending too much but then I hardly spend any money on other games, Hearthstone has been entertaining me for two and a half years now.
It is your money. It is perfectly ok to spend them on anything you want. If you are spending them on something that brings you fun every day it is even better.
ive spent about afew hundred dollars on packs so far and most likely will buy more. but i cant help feeling kinda shit about it :/
anyone else spend money on packs often?
Ofcourse, not everyone had hours of time to farm ;) and even if you have alot of time it's oke ;)

Yeah, it's ok.
The 1st step towards a better game is firing Mike Donais! We had enough of his "skillful" balances!

Gonna leave this, world for awhile
I just stick to spending fake money...

Oh, and by comparison, I have bought 6 $20 bundles, Kara, the welcome pack, and the $50 preorder for KOTFT ... much cheaper habit over here :-)

If you feel shit about it, then no, it is not okay. Just play something else or play and enjoy the cards you do have.
