I feel like hunter is getting a little behind the other classes. I'm guessing they are encouraging beast and some way of control, although I'm forecasting the survival of Face Hunter.
So, are we staying behind?? Or do we need to find another meta to survive the new cards?

"There are bad ways to win-- and good ways to lose. What's interesting and troubling is that it's not always clear which is which. A flipped coin doesn't always land heads or tails. Sometimes it may never land at all..."
Hunter will likely be slower, more "control" i guess. Still, it is getting outrun and by other decks which got a lot of better synergies and late game threats. Many are thinking hunter is getting better, but it is falling behind compared to other slow decks
My own prediction is that since hunter drew the short straw on this expansion, and quite a few cards that help negate aggro had come to life he will be in a big problem.
So hunter and agro would seize to exist, and the meta would revolve around control.
Since heavy control is usually weak to heavier decks we might see some very solid slow control and combo decks conquer the meta.
But then aggro would enter from the back door to beat the unprepared decks.
So... After a season we will see a new meta form with face hunter in it.
midrange hunter is very strong after TGT, lock and load miracle hunter will take the place of face hunter which i predict will dissapear completely. i think control hunter is still not viable though and my reasoning is why pick control hunter and not control warrior or paladin when they have 10 times more control powerful cards than hunter..... so i believe hunter is just fine with just midrange hunter and miracle-inspire hunter. i think garrison commander will be the new favourite 2 mana hunter drop
I thought Hunter was the class that got pushed the most with this expansion... welp. I wouldn't be surprised to see more midrange or even control hunter. But I said it before, their hero is what gives them the incentive to build a deck around it which always will be aggresive. Otherwise the hero power is a waste and will never be used. They could have tried making it more interesting with Inspire but I doubt we'll even see the Sniper in play. Honestly, its effect should have been Justicar's effect for hunter, but that's super later. A tiny minion that has to stay on the board to turn the power into control just won't do.
King's Elekk is good. In any non aggro deck the chance of "pseudo-tutoring" other beasts is very nice. Lock and Load has a lot of potential. Even with this premade deck it can allow some interesting plays. And I also can't think how insane would be the value of this card if you could manage to Keep Emperor Thaurissan alive for a couple of turns. Ram Wrangler is underperforming in this deck. I believe it will be a powerhouse in a thematic Beast deck, since nobody would left any cheap beast alive in this one.
I think hunter has a lot of potential. It will still be the most hated class in Hearthstone. But this time, at least, for different reasons rather than facehunter.
Face Hunter will survive just fine. Mid-range hunter gets a new toy in Dragonhawk Rider.
All-spell hunter already exists but was rather gimmicky - Lock & Load could change that, but it won't make top tier.
Control Hunter is not going to happen. What could happen are Mid-range hunter with some experimental new high-mana cards, but these would have to replace Loatheb, Savannah Highmane or Dr. Boom - the most powerful 5, 6 and 7 cards in the current meta. Very unlikely.
face hunter pretty much unscathed.... i dont see anything new adding to it except for maybe bear trap (mostly for the mirror) and the impaler (i hightly doubt it)
mid range hunter could play ram wrangler and king's elekk since king's elekk can still aim for your 4s and up..... you also gain an anti aggro tool in dreadscale and of course, bear trap
as for control hunter, i think we will see a few more of them around with powershot to deal with early game and also bear trap as well..... what lock and load will do for this deck... well only time will tell........
we might also see beast deck running around as ppl test them out a bit..... i doubt there will be too many but with the current card base, it is a possibility now that you got everything from 1-6 to curve up
theres better 1 drop than brave hunter for that deck (what you want to replace, worgen? sergent?) and same thing with lowly squire.... to get it to a 2/2 which means you will have to skip your 2 drop for 2 pt of dmg......, there's better 2 drops in face hunter than elekk (which will almost never draw you a card, garrison commander is too slow.....)
face isnt dead, but i dont think it will need any of those.... well maybe the divine shield charge guy and that is if you are willing to give up 1 pt of dmg for survivalbility...... bear trap is fun though, i can imagine this be fine in a mirror as a removal and a damage prevention that you can get with mad scientist...... fencing coach is a maybe.... it lets you shoot the same turn you drop him but its like you put a body on the board as well as get the hero power out of it.......
i think the main deciding factor for the future of face hunter is if the early game most class get is enough to deal with early face.... that and how useful refreshment vendor is going to become.
Lock and Load creates an opportunity for a new spell centered controllish archetype. I suspect someone will make a deck that works with that skill. Powershot could definitely see play along with a suite of traps and cheap spells to control the early game.
Face Hunter will still work. I will consider Brave Archer* as a one of or alternative to Worgen Infiltrator because it extends your late game reach by 2 while infiltrator will do nothing late because it will get absorbed by a Sludge Belcher. The Argent Horserider vs Wolfrider debate will also be interesting there.
I think midrange decks may become a bit more beast synergy oriented. I really believe that Oasis Snapjaw could reappear as a durable 4 drop to enable Houndmaster and Ram Wrangler. If the deck is slow enough King's Elekk could be exciting even with only 50% chance to draw a card. When compared to Novice Engineer or Loot Hoarder it looks pretty nuts. I don't think Stablemaster is good enough. Dreadscale will be an awesome tool against one health minion decks like face hunter and aggro paladin.
I think hunter will be ok moving forward. They have some cool experimental cards, they have some broader archetypes and face hunter really doesn't need anymore strictly superior cards to still be successful.
why would it die? the new cards are super slow, and hunter is just as fast as before, it didn't get anything but the old cards are fast and probably better than the new ones. so it'll be just fine.

did you even see the cards correctly
i'm sorry, face hunter is rip and due, i hope that control hunter will shine and ACIDMAW+DREADMAW FOR A DEAD BOARD, DEATHWING STYLE
Control and Midrange hunters are the best bet with this set.
"Slower" Hunter decks will emerge..that will still somehow be able to outdamage other classes doing their best impression of aggro.
With weapons and a 3 mana mini consecrate, they'll be able to keep your minions off the board while their minions....go face.

Brave Archer, Bear Trap, Elekk, Lowly Squire, Garrison Commander, Do you really think Face is dead?

What cards do you see fitting in Midrange decks ? And what about Feign Death Hunter ?

*Edit: Hunter = Archer
midrange: probably kings elekk and ram wrangler and bear trap
feign death hunter: lock and load

Brave Archer and Garrison Commander in mid/late may become an interesting source of burst damage, 7 mana for 8 Direct Damage
Aggro hunter will also appreciate Lance Carrier for early damage.
The point is: find room in the deck
