I think i could be solid deck... You need to play "few" one drops and you finished. There is one finishing combo >>> Rhyno + Hyena + Raptors from quest.
You have eight 1-drops (including the token from firefly), ten if you count the 4/3 raptors (which you will only have when you played the little one first). On turn 5 you can draw two for a subpar tempo play. To play the quest reward on turn 7, you need to play 5 1-drops before turn 5. I think it is unlikely that you will see the end of the quest before you win or lose.
Edit: I'd take two fireflys, since they are actually two 1-drops in your hand for one card. And I'd cut some secrets for other 1-drops or other cards. Without Cloaked Huntress they are often bad value.
On mixing in the elemental package: -You're already playing Fire Fly because it's basically mandatory. (4 elementals). -Glacial Shard is another good 1 drop. (2 more elementals). -And Tar Creeper is just a good stand alone card. (2 more elementals).
Maybe Thunder Lizard is a step too far, but I certainly think Tol'vir Stoneshaper fits.
Tundra Rhino could be Buzzard, if the value route works better than the OTK route.
what do you guys think about adding Youthful Brewmaster to get 2 plays out of a single 1 drop?
Use it with firefly for great value
I don't know, but I don't think it is a working idea. Until now, youthful brewmaster never worked, because it is an anti-tempo play. You Sap your own shit and replay it for full mana costs. That really must be worth it.Which it is if that is the move that gives you the quest reward (because they are all insane), but in hunter it is just 1 step more and 6 to go. I don't think that a class that has no healing and no working comeback mechanic can afford to outtempo itself.
But we will see how the quest decks will shape out, maybe I am wrong.
Will Alleycat count for two 1 cost minions or just 1?
Only 1. The quest says "play", and you only play the main card. If it said "summon" like the Shaman Murloc quest does, then the additional token would count.
Will Alleycat count for two 1 cost minions or just 1?
Sadly no. It says "Play", not "Summon", so you'll have to actually play the card. Also means no synergy with Patches despite all the goodish one-drop Pirates. Fire Fly is great with this, and Alleycat is still worth running as it gives you a good target for Crackling Razormaw turn two.
When you play the queen, you only get 15 raptors... the board has 7 spots. That means you can fill the board up twice, and have one left over raptor. Most of the time your gonna draw into raptors (my prediction) and run out quick. That means after you ran out you have nothing to use late game and are a sitting duck. The only way I see you winning is super lucky raptor draw with tundra rhino out to do 12 damage... kinda lackluster for the only burst in game. The only late game you have is warden (kinda) and high mane.
Edit: I hate it when you take forever to type and think and the whole thing is already filled up lol
in deck building i think even tracking wouldnt be a bad thing. Search for your 1-drops or Tol'vir Warden to pump out that quest as quickly as possible.
This is my version, which would play out simulary to the old Hyprid Hunter (Mid-Aggro) and features the, what I would call, Elemental-Package of Fire Fly, Tar Creeper and Tol'vir Stoneshaper, which gives the deck a strong defensive Midgame after a fast start.
Judging from the other decklists, this kind of deck will be very budged-friendly and can work even without the Quest, so it has a high chance of being viable.
wait- so your version is literally the one I posted 4 posts earlier but with jungle panther? lol

Tracking may ultimately be the way to go - we'll have to work through the math (how many 1 drops, how many will be burned, etc.)
If you're going for Elemental synergy, I've been looking at Thunder Lizard rather than Tol'vir Stoneshaper. It is a beast so it also works with your beast synergy.
Also, only having Fire Fly and Raptor Hatchling (that is apparently its official name) to activate the quest and rely on Tol'vir Warden to get you those cards.
The deck I've been thinking of still has 5 card slots that are empty, not sure if I want to put some traps there.
I think the only viable trap for this deck is Cat Trick or none at all. I think I personally will include King Krush and Swamp King Dred for the late game. Prolly not the overall smartest move but I simply want to play them in that deck :-D

Battle doesn't need a purpose; the battle is its own purpose. You don't ask why a plague spreads or a field burns. Don't ask why I fight.
Tol'vin Warden is not enough, this archetype needs more card draw i believe. Loot Hoarder is ok and Cult Master should get decent value with so many 1-drops and Unleash the Hounds. Trying to find a spot for one Hound Master, but maybe the elemental package is enough stall, not sure.
Didn't Trump's interview with the lead designer say that Hunter is getting two 1-drops? Small Raptor was one, so I'd wait on theorycrafting before we see the other (unless it's the 4/3 token).
I'm not sure the elemental package is the way to go... Too much reliance on playing an elemental the previous turn when you only have 4 or so in your deck. I'm no deckbuilder, but I'd guess the elemental cards like Tol'vir Stoneshaper would be too unreliable unless you had a true elemental deck.

Yeah, adding aditional Firefly seems like good idea...
So + 1 Firefly, - 1 Cat Trick

I'm thinking somewhere along the lines of this.

-You're already playing Fire Fly because it's basically mandatory. (4 elementals).
-Glacial Shard is another good 1 drop. (2 more elementals).

On your deck page is a deck-tag which you write or copy in here:
[ d e c k ] number [ / d e c k ]
And your deck will then look like this:
Will Alleycat count for two 1 cost minions or just 1?
The Marsh Queen says play. You only play Alleycat , the token is merely summoned. So Alleycat will only count as one 1-drop.
Every played minion is summoned, but not every summoned minion is played.
When you play the queen, you only get 15 raptors... the board has 7 spots. That means you can fill the board up twice, and have one left over raptor. Any thoughts about including Starving Buzzard ?
