The deck I'm currently using on the ranked ladder.
The idea behind it is straightforward:
Using Circle of Healing and your Darkscale Healers, you can gain both great draw (when used in conjunction with your Northshire Clerics) and super attack-heavy Lightwardens. It's good to hold onto your Circle of Healing cards until you have an opportunity to use them to one of these two effects. Since Lightwardens are rather flimsy, it's best to avoid buffing them unless you're about to attack or they're protected by a taunt minion. Once you a have a large enough hand, it becomes a viable option to spend your resources buffing a single minion with Divine Spirit (preferably X2) and Inner Fire. This is your end game.
In general, avoid using your Inner Fire/Divine Spirit combo unless it can immediately end the game--and as before, do not buff until you're about to attack.
That's about it! Enjoy smashing in faces!
Edit (April 25th): Removed X2 Shieldbearer and X2 Arcanosmith and replaced them with X2 Potion of Madness, X1 Shadow Word: Pain, and X1 Shadow Word: Death.
Shieldbearer, in theory, would provide you with some stall time when you buff him with cards like Power Word: Shield and Kabal Talonpriest, allowing you the time to populate your side of the board with minions like Northshire Clerics and Lightwardens. However, more often than not, Shieldbearer would just pose a minor annoyance for the first few turns. Potion of Madness is a much superior way of actively dealing with early game threats.
The reasoning behind getting rid of X2 Arcanosmith is much the same. Occasionally, you might wind up with a situation where for five mana, you could have a 3/2 and a 5/5 (using Inner Fire), but this is fairly situational and usually not an ideal way to use Inner Fire. Instead, another Shadow Word: Pain and Death should give you more ways to eliminate threats and maintain board control while you buff your minions.
Late to the party, but I'm looking for an Injured Blademaster alternative? I just don't have enough dust atm.
Make a video about this deck?
I love the idea of the deck. But, I feel like once you remove the Shieldbearer and Arcanosmiths, there just aren't enough minions (14) in the deck, and 6 of them are 4+ mana. It becomes super-reliant on the right early game draw, the key cards are useless without minions on board. And the Circle of Healing loses a lot of value, no? Not only do you have few minions to heal, but the other guy's minions aren't likely to be damaged.
I will say, when you get the combo to happen, it is way more satisfying than it should be. I just don't know if it happens often enough. Or I just suck at this deck, a reasonable theory.
I'm going to try replacing a Circle with Priest of the Feast, and maybe both. Also 2x Injured Blademaster with 2x Tar Creeper. 1(3)/5 Taunt vs. 4/3 (that could be healed, I know). Maybe it'll slow down the other guy enough, we'll see.
Also, swapped the 2x Mogu'shan for 2x Tortollan Shellraiser. Maybe the 1 point of health will matter, maybe the +1/+1 Deathrattle will balance it out, I dunno.
Impressive what you have accomplished with so little dust cost. After some practice I've reached rank 13. Kudos! :-)
That's awesome! I'm glad the deck works for you.
I'd probably do another 4-cost with high health. Priest of the Feast would be my choice, but since that's also from Karazhan and you might not have it, any other card that meets those parameters would be fine.
Edit: Arcanosmith is actually from the first wing of Karazhan, so you wouldn't need to purchase the entire adventure to get him. It might be worth buying the first wing with gold. That way you can save the adventure for later (in case you want to complete it after it rotates out), and you'll also have Arcanosmith!
I can't think of another card that fills the same defensive buff role for 3 mana, so you might consider an Acolyte of Pain. It's also three mana and it will give you some extra draw. Plus, it combos nicely with Power Word: Shield and Northshire Cleric.
Any good replacement for 1x [card]Kabal Talonpriest[/card] ?
I realize I accidentally replied to my own post rather than to your subthread, but I suggested Acolyte of Pain above.
