Card Explanations:
Backstab - Staple in almost all Rogue decks. Helps with early game and favourable trades later on in the game.
Preparation - Staple in almost all Rogue decks. Preferably used with Crystal Core and Vanish. Use early against faster decks.
Shadowstep - Helps complete the quest. Can also be used later in the game with the amount of Battlecry minions this deck.
Fire Fly - Good early game minion. Good Battlecry for bouncing. Flame Elemental from this card and Igneous Elemental allow for easy quest completion and saving the bounce cards for later in the game.
Glacial Shard - Best card against aggro decks like Pirate Warrior. This is your main card against big threats like Edwin VanCleef. Normally used to stall before you complete the quest.
Patches the Pirate - Works well with Southsea Deckhand and Swashburglar. 1 Mana 5/5 Charge after the quest. Can be used as a finisher if bounced many times.
Southsea Deckhand - Works well with Patches the Pirate. 1 Mana 5.5 Charge after the quest. Can be used as a finisher if bounced many times. Can also be used early game against faster decks.
Swashburglar - Works well with Patches the Pirate. Good Battlecry for bouncing. You might want to bounce this card against certain classes, such as Mage, Warrior, Rogue. The reason why is because there are plenty of cards you can get from them that can help.
The Caverns Below - Rogue Quest. The deck is built around this card. This is your win condition.
Eviscerate - Good early game removal. Staple in almost all rogue decks.
Gadgetzan Ferryman - Helps complete the quest. Can also be used later in the game with the amount of Battlecry minions this deck.
Novice Engineer - Card draw! Good Battlecry for bouncing. You probably want to bounce this card against slower decks to cycle as much as possible.
Youthful Brewmaster - Helps complete the quest. Can also be used later in the game with the amount of Battlecry minions this deck.
Igneous Elemental - Flame Elemental from this card and Fire Fly allow for easy quest completion and saving the bounce cards for later in the game. Good card to play against AoE.
Mimic Pod - Gives you duplicates. At first I wasn't a fan of this card because of how slow it was. But after playing with/without it I have come to believe that this is a staple for this deck. If you land something crazy like a Shadowstep with this card then the game is already over. And of course... card draw!
Vanish - "Why are you playing Vanish without Coldlight Oracle?" In the previous version of this deck, I did in fact have Coldlight Oracle. However I noticed that if I drew Novice Engineer or Mimic Pod early, then the Coldlight Oracle would just be sitting in my hand. I don't like cards that just sit in my hand. Also, fuck Fan of Knives for AoE. Doesn't kill shit and it's probably going to draw you a Backstab anyway.

You are gone quest rogue... you are gone....
Is it not worth creating this deck anymore? I have 5K dust looking to create something nice I can master on.
You should wait for the next expansion dude, or if you have a huge feeling of starting playing a or some of the meta decks then go ahead, but is way better saving it for the future expansion, cuz new cards, new meta!
Patches replacement? I'm just using 1 Stonetusk.. is that fine?
Thanks for the deck! Just got rank 5 with it, Score is 26-15, two defeats were at bottom of 10 (no stars lose) and there was a final winstreak of 7 games.
I made only 1 replacement: 2 Bilefin Tidehunters instead of 2 Eviscerates. This may sound strange (Evis is auto-pick for any rogue!) but it increases your winrate.
In the present version deck has no Taunts and loses vs aggro even with completed quest. But Ooze by Tidehunter fills this gap very good: even 1/1 taunt is annoying for opponent, and Ooze 5/5 gonna beyour savior.
Because it is useless in early game (9 mana cost). Almost all the minions in this deck help you to survive the early game. Onyxia doesn't help you in early game because you cannot play it early and will not really help you in late game.
The best game spot would be this: both players have nothing on the board, turn 9 and you play Onyxia from topdeck. In all the other situations it is useless.
If you have nothing and your opponent has 3-4 minions, Onyxia will not really help you: opponent will rush your face and probably will succeed. The more minions you have, the less useful Onyxia will be (it will summon less Whelps.
And last, but not least: she's not really finisher, she's just board filler. If summoned whelps had charge, she would be a finisher
Stonetusk boar doesn't have the same effect, but its charge effect can be very useful
I really don't like Mimic Pod. It's hit or miss. If you Mimic Pod Shadowstep it's basically insta-GG. If not it feels like a wasted turn. The most consistent versions of this deck that work for me are the ones where I cut Mimic Pod.
If its a minion you automatically get a copy for your quest. Shadowstep is the best way to go, but even if you get a second bouncer or even a prep is a good play
its probably the best card u have, playing mimic into any minon or bounce, easly wins u game.
How do you feel about taking out one vanish for a bilefin hunter or stonetusk boar. I find vanishes as dead cards in my hand a lot unless I have prep as well. Any advice?
vanish is way too good
why is there no stonetusk boar? wtf?
Did it Boys! Finally made it Legend with this deck. Just had 2 Small Changes:
Replaced: 1 Backstab and 1 Eviscerate with 2 Bilefin Tidehunter.
Increased my Winrate against Pirate Warrior a lot, because when you get his board a bit cleaner, even with out Quest finish a 1/1 Taunt stops at least 4 dmg (from Heroic Strike or Arcanite Reaper Swing for example and i often felt drawing evis or backstab early delayed the quest hard and remained dead in hand.
Again thanks for the decklist though <3
I'm getting absolutely fucked by aggro pally druid and even warlock right now at rank 7. How much does this help?
Swashburglar Replace?
Bilefin Tidehunter, fills a different niche, but Swashburglar typically gives answers to aggro, so I teched in a 5/5 taunt, with a 5/5 body essentially. Also works wonders vs Pirate warrior.
or Coldlight Oracle ?
This deck's pretty fucking absurd. Hard mulligan for pieces to get the quest done and short of Dirty Rat messing with you it's hard to lose against a large chunk of the meta (although there's a couple matchups you'll get walked over in).
