I came back here after months, years even, to find the ruins of a once great deck. Midway through evolutions and heavily outdated it needed some work, but I wasn't feeling writing an updated zoo guide for the modern game. So I decided to take it back to where it all began. A piece of hearthstone history. The first deck that truly shattered the metagame. And where more appropriate than here, the resting place of the guide that started it all. My build of OG zoo that haunted the ladder right back in season 1.
R.I.P
Great work, thanks for your effort and get well soon!
Since I still don't have more than naxx wing 2, could you think of a halfway proper replacement for the Undertakers? Or would it be better to stick to the "old variant" with Void Terrors and PO?
adding the Ironbeak Owl increased my win rate against hunters and handlock a lot which in turn increased my win rate overall with this deck
Hey, thanks for this deck!
I swapped out one doomguard for an arcane golem just because I was occasionally having situations where I was discarding too much.
I hope you're fully recovered by now.
Oh man... Im 10-1 at ranks 9 - 7
Is the hospital thing mentioned to take pity on you and not flame you for playing zoo? That's just sad.
You should consider Lorewalker Cho in a zoo deck.
Works pretty well. Try.
Nice updated. And hope you get better, my friend! @Noodles2556 :)
I find this variant of Zoo one of the strongest. PO into Void Terror is an extremely strong combo, especially when you think of how you can also activate your eggs with VT, giving you 2 4/4s and a 3/7.
This is a weak Zoo deck, which relies heavily on early game RNG. There are much better card choices out there instead of Power Overwhelming, Undertaker, Zombie Chow, and possibly Void Terror for a Zoo.

Check out my thread, some nice decks posted there. Maybe you might share your thoughts ;)
I am running 1x shadowflame and it works great!
Just wanted to share the second video in a series my friend and I are working on.
He used your deck for GWF.
Question what are the benifits between Sunfury Protector and Defender of Argus I only have one defender and two sunfurys
With zoo you generally don't care about the taunts near as much as the 2 +1/+1. That's 2 extra damage every turn to the face, helps you kill the hero a lot faster.
50% win rate on my first 20 games, which i think is good since i just started playing lock. will be playing it more and see if i can find that sweet spot on how to play this deck. most of my losses are from priests, so yea. thanks for this deck, im enjoying it so much so far :)
- Doomguard -Void Terror + 2xEarthen Ring Farseer
this deck isn't working for me anymore, it seemed stronger and more consistent before some of these naxx changes. The one card that rarely works for me is zombie chow, if I don't get to play it turn one it does nothing for me later in the game and then I'm stuck with the dilemma of either playing to and restoring damage ive done or it just sits in my hand as a dead card and if you combine that at times when it's too late to play flame imp it seems that I have too many dead cards now that don't help.
I took out the zombie chows and have put back in the abusive sergeants, maybe it's my play style but so far it seems better and I am happy with it.
From my understanding, the Zombie Chow existence serves only to buff the Undertaker at a relatively low cost. It can trade with early things yeah and it will heal them, however the idea idea I'm grasping is that your Undertaker is meant to be strong enough by that point they can win anyway. Has really nothing to do with the Zombie Chows.
This is also personal preference but I disagree with the sergeants. They were one pump chumps who could buff once. Zombie Chow does the same damage but has 3x the HP, so early on they can trade with more than one minion in most cases until about turn 3-4.
Perhaps I'm wrong in how this deck is going but it seems that since Naxx has come out in entirety, the Zoo Deck has gone from "Early game aggression and winning by turn 6" to "Strong early game, along with a few scaling monsters (Undertaker and Void Terror) to assure you can last in the late game."
Think of it more like a handlock and a zoo lock meshed.
As you said before Void Terror and Power Overwhelming helped you win the deck.
I felt that after my changes I lost a lot and the deck was to slow, not enough damage.
Also maybe the ooze isn't needed anymore. Haunted creeper vs ooze? Haunted creeper has more bodies and synergizes with quite a few minions.
So I'm going to be trying.
