If you don't have Mad Scientist or Explosive Trap on turn 2, concede. Explosive Trap is better if the hero power shifts from the 3 welps to the 2 2/2's with taunt. Mad Scientist is better if it shifts to the 5/4(in which case hit the scientist into the 5/4, the trap will do the rest)
Beyond that, you just face face face. Hunter's Mark is in just in case you need to send one doggy from Unleash the Hounds into the 8/8 hero power to buy yourself another turn. Doomsayer was initially just there to fill a spot, but it saved my ass big time in conjunction with Annoy-o-Tron.
edit: If you don't have a Doomsayer, people in the comments have seen similar results using Explosive Sheep. Had I remembered the card existed, I probably would have put it in before trying Doomsayer.

Edit: Changed some cards out that got nerfed with the release of standard. -2 Leper Gnome -2 Arcane Golem +2 Argent Horserider +2 Disciple of C'Thun. Same strategy. Tested it 3 games, 3 wins.
Whoa, first try as is. No change at all.
20+ tries with no success... did it with freeze mage (animated armor is the key) on 2nd try.
swapped the dicsiple of c'thun with explosive sheeps and did fairly well, got the kill on try 4 or 5.
Took probably 30 tries, but it got it done.
Note: I switched out the Disciple of C'Thun for 2 Brave Archer and also switched out an Argent Horserider for a Mind Control Tech . Thought process for the Brave Archer was to get a quick 4-6 damage out of my hero power which could be useful if they were drawn near the last few turns when you are trying to get just over lethal. They were somewhat useful, but they never performed as reliably as I was hoping. The Mind Control Tech was for a lucky Gyth grab, which on my winning turn happened... but keep in mind that he has a 1 mana card that kills a legendary which he seems to use immediately upon taking Gyth. So, wasn't as useful as I was hoping, but it did take out a Gyth (although w/ a 1/4 chance of taking him, I wouldn't recommend this card).
took me about 50 tries... but i finally did it!
Thanks so much! This one took me quite a few tries. I kept trying to trade with his 2/2s and it wasn't getting me anywhere. Once I decided to just rush him down with the help of Explosive Trap and Sheep I was able to hit him with exact lethal on the turn before he had lethal on me. Glad to have that one out of the way. Thanks again!

This boss is such a pain in the ass
Got it on the 2nd try only with Call of the Wild and 2x Explosive Sheep. In other cases I had not enough damage to finish him.
Highly recommend to the author to place them to the deck.

After six fails, read the comments (thanks, folks) and won with next try with:
+2Explosive Sheep
+2Misdirection (Great value cuz Rend starts with his biggest attack)
+1Doomsayer (Rend treats it as a taunt)
+1Call of the Wild
-1Haunted Creeper, -1Disciple of C'Thun, -2Hunter's Mark, -2Quickshot
a little luck on the mulligan and "face face face" wins.
When I finally got explosive trap in my opening hand (actually, I kept two), I beat him!
replaced Wolfrider with Call of the Wild for turn 8/9 push for lethal. worked after a couple of tries, thanks

Nope. I've tried this too much. Replacing Leper Gnome to Disciple of C'Thun and Arcane Golem to Argent Horserider not worked for me. I can't play face decks properly. Anyway.
So, I decided to try another idea and created my own deck. If you guys tried and failed enough times, you may want to check my druid deck, which is using AI's fear of "KT + tank combo".
Thanks for this guide! I don't have mad scientists yet and I only had one disciple of c'thun so I just replaced them 1 more hunter's mark, and tw other random cards which I was not able to use in all of my attempts. Trusted the RNGods and won at my 8th attempt. Just be sure you have either the explosive sheep or explosive trap within turn two. If he summons the three whelps and then changes the hero power to the 5/4 minion then just concede.
Whew! That took a while. Finally got it after around 8 tries. You do need to get a bit lucky with the draws, but I see no easier way to beat this boss. The AI is also kind enough to occasionally clear its own board for you. But yeah, just keep with this deck and you'll eventually get it. The good thing is that you either win or die very quickly with this deck, so you can probably do about 10 tries in like 40 minutes.
