The addition of Emperor Thaurissan in this deck means Malygos can be played and actually use multiple spells without requiring prep.
This decks combos relies on huge draw hence the use of all rogue draw cards as well as Chromaggus to give you double the spells, to fling later with Malygos :D
You have plenty of stuff to deal with early game such as the addition of Dark Iron Skulker a great AOE card.
The single Gang Up allows the decks really inefficient use of card value to be much less of issue (you should have a much greater chance versus control/fatigue decks thanks to this card) and it allows you to adapt to the situation (for example versus aggro you may wanna gang up an antique heal-bot.)
Possible Substitutes
-I'm not quite sure how Gadgetzan will go as a replacement to sprint. Perhaps Emperor Thaurissan will allows Gadgetzan to see some play again.
-Depending on the meta, you could swap out Deadly poison for sinister strikes, either 1, 2 or neither.
Basically this change comes down to how aggressive the early game meta is, if highly aggressive it would be much more optimal to take deadly poison. Sinister strike however offers crazy late game burst potential with Malygos.
I think that could be a good deck ;)
I will give a try when Chromaggus and Dark Iron Skulker becomes avaible ;)
It definitely can be you are right, I'm hoping however that dark iron can make up for some of the early game slack.
Plus keep in mind that you do not have to save conceal for auctioneer , the combo is AMAZING and easily worth the conceal on Emperor Thaurissan.
And I imagine chromagas as well.
I think you are wrong about control match ups however, this guy single handily DESTROYS control match ups since their role is to make you run out of steam with value trade, but you simply don't run out of stream with Gadgetzan and it will lead to easy 30+ damage combos.
At the moment this deck is not possible since Chromagus and Dark iron dwarf are not released. For this reason I don't want to make adjustments to add back sinister strike without knowing how the extra cards will help.
My thinking is Chromaggus might be enough to help with draw to remove a single Azzure drake. In this case a sinister strike will be substituted.
Like wise with dark iron may be able to substitute a deadly poison or a blade flurry, and then we can add another sinister here.
The reason why they are not in this deck currently, is because the times they are needed is when you verse very controlly/tanky decks and believe it or not these are already favorable match-ups. And so as many additions focusing on making the match up verses aggro and tempo better are more important then sinister strike.
Hopefully this explanation makes sense.
I will add that it will be very likely that I will swap something out for at least one sinister strike, as the draw with Chromaggus multiplying them sounds too good to miss out on.
Im gonna be playing this deck when we get chromaggus.
I already have my malygos rogue deck called miracle weaver... very similar to this actually without the BRM cards.
Amazing deck!! Is the same list that you're using today in our match?? Congratz!
Thanks man! Deck is almost the same, this version has chromaggus and dark iron replacing sinister strike and an antique heal bot however I'm thinking I might sub something else for those when I can play the new BRM cards.
This is pretty much the deck I intend to use once the cards are released, though I'm not too keen on Chromaggus and will probably sub Trade Prince Gallywix in in his place.
I think Chromaggus would be more reliable then Gallywix as you know that you can get cheap spells both drawn and used as card draw to combo with Chromaggus.
Given the current meta Gallywix may often be disaster when versing combo druid especially now with Emperor Thaurissan you could be giving them an easy double combo with the gifted coins.
Hadn't thought of that actually. Good point...
Seeing this actually makes me a bit curios about mid range dragon rogue. With hungry dragon since your dagger can usually take out the minion it spawns or even just backstab to be sure. Azure drakes already a staple in every rogue deck and the malygod cake on top. Makes me really wondering if the 5 mana fire elemental might just be worth running. Like Maybe taking out -1 Chromaggus -1 skulker + 2 hungry dragon and doing something like -1 shiv or even just -1 fan just to get the 5 mana fire elementals in could make a cool mid range dragon rogue. :x Just an idea and what might you think? Just to make the malygod show the other dragon decks who is boss :3
I Know what you mean, I considered this since this deck has so much dragon potential considering it's already high percentage of the minions.
However I thought it might sort of defeat the purpose of being a spell Malygos deck and would probably be too unreliable to use say Blackwing corrupter (in place of SI7 perhaps) without adding more needed dragons. Doing so would require swapping out a lot of spells which could change the deck almost entirely. That's not saying it won't be a good deck though I think a dragon deck based of some of the core elements of this deck could definitely work!
An idea of what you could swap to make it a more dragon style deck could be something like:
-Trading SI7 for 2 Black-wing Corrupters.
-You could trade Edwin and Gang up out for 2 Hungry dragons.
-Perhaps a single deadly poison and an Evis out for two volcanic drakes.
-And lastly you could scrap Chromaggus given the more expensive minion additions and perhaps a single dark iron skulker and add maybe 2 Black-wing Technicians? for a decent 3 drop in place of SI7
That does sound cool and fits. I could see Malygod being saved up for a finisher while the other mid range minions keep the board in your full control until you can setup something really cool, and if you have to hold onto Maly its not so bad. All in all I think rogue and pally are probably the best to adapt to the new cards. Pally because the new 5 mana 5-5 thats nuts, and rogue because they already had dragons to begin with, and now they get a benefit because of that.
